Pls my es 350 keeps showing that my vehicle speed sensor has fault.

My mechanic keeps telling me it's nothing.

Pls which technician will be in the best place resolve this for me.

Is that what the fault code says on the scan tool or are you referring to the check Vsc message on the cluster when you start up the car ?

Speaking from experience with CS35, just to replace a front door damaged by a reckless driver cost N3m at Mikano. As with every new vehicle, you'll enjoy it, except you are planning to trade it in after a couple of years don't fancy them. They are not built strong like the Accord.

Exactly what I was talking about earlier, I know a lady who drives the Changan SUV that got her headlamps broke. From a crash and it took quite a bit of time to get a replacement unit

You’re most likely getting it Nigerian used bought brand new, because that vehicle isn’t available for the North America region.
Power train wise- they’re closely related to the corolla’s and are very reliable but they use valve matic and I’ve worked on a 2014 corolla eco with that system and I can tell you for a fact that if that thing has an issue part are not readily available like that and it’s stressful
- body wise; some body part might be a bit expensive to get
- over all, they aren’t terrible vehicles to own, but be wary of the ones that haven’t been properly maintained.

​Please I need the car gurus, and actual owners on this forum to advise me before I make a major financial move.

​With the way the economy is going, buying a 2018+ Tokunbo car right now is looking like a luxury apartment investment. Because of this, I've been doing some serious calculations. My budget is pulling me toward two completely different directions, and I want to see what makes the most sense for a daily Lagos commute.

​On one hand, I’m looking at a clean Tokunbo 2014 Honda Accord. We all know the Accord is a sweet ride— comfortable, nice interior, excellent handling, and that 2.4L i-VTEC engine is quite reliable.

​On the other hand, my eyes have been firmly fixed on the Changan brand—brand new or very clean used one from China. Visually, these Changan cars are breathtaking. The interior looks like a full stack tech hub with the screens, 360-degree cameras, and panoramic roof. Plus, Mikano backing them with a warranty sounds like peace of mind when getting a brand new one.

Although, I heard mikano won't offer support to the imported ones. How has the experience been for those that own these Changan cars?

​But as a proper Nigerian, my mind is still playing ten-ten about switching to a Chinese brand over a proven Japanese machine. Before I drop my hard-earned money, I need the house to help me weigh these options

​Parts & Maintenance: If an alternator or sensor goes bad on the Accord, I can get it in Ladipo or any spare parts market in 10 minutes. What is the story for Changan parts? Can a regular mechanic handle them, or am I strictly tied to Mikano and what happens when I opt to import directly from China.

​Should I go for the tech and newness of the Changan, or should I just stick to the reliable, comfortable, and easy-to-maintain 2014 Honda Accord?

Honestly, for now I’d pick the Accord and the reason is quite simple and I think relative to different individuals, and it is the fact that getting part for the Changan to me is going to be an hassle and I doubt they’ll be cheap either , most of the vehicles would have to be serviced/ repaired at their dealership and trust me their prices are not going to be cheap except if you can afford that, overall they’re nice vehicles but in the long run would require premium services for now but if you do end up getting the Chinese vehicle buy any of their branch here in Nigeria for the sake of technical know-how incase any issues arises.

the 2008-2010 Crv is a very good option also, Infact with 8m you’d get a solid toks standard unit while for Tokunbo from average price listing of this car you’d spend 10.2m ( you’d actually see cheaper options Infact some close to your budget but please be wary of Rust most especially on Canadian ones, they’re pretty common, confirm duty on the car is paid and also confirm drivetrain ) if you don’t mind I can help you get a good unit that checks all the boxes.

True, but all depends on who you’re getting it from. It really takes one who know the nitty gritty part of Ladipo to properly get good part and the lady is pretty good at that.

Top three best option woukd be the
2006 - 2008 highlander- pretty much reliable, you can even get one with third row option, for your budget the latter year ( 2008 ) would be a little expensive to get though
2008-2010 Rav4 - also well within budget, get a 4 plugs variant for fuel economy and try pushing for the 2010 model year with the 2AR engine it’s much better than the former year
2008-2012 Acura mdx - well within budget for a registered 2011 model year, honestly it a really reliable suv and would also give you a premium feel compared to the other ones above , but it’s not the best when it comes to gas mileage and again you have to be mindful of the fuel that goes into it, thank you

Good morning house, I drive a honda accord 2018 touring but I am confused on the type of coolant to use. Is it the honda genuine extended life anti freeze type 2 or the honda long life anti freeze type 2. I will appreciate if I can get clarity on which to use

The long life is what you should use for either the 1.5l/ 2.0 l engine
