Family / Re: I Need A Strong Advice Concerning My Sister Who Maltreated My Wife by love2017(m): 10:45pm On Aug 24, 2017
omron:
Good morning everyone

Remember I posted on this platform about my Elder sister who came to visit our mum where I was staying In the family house with my wife and my child.

It was a day I shall never forget in my life
whenever I remember that day I have a terrible feeling and it affected me so much

To those that don't know about the story

https://www.nairaland.com/3778429/how-blood-sister-treated-wife
That is the link

She beat my wife Blood was coming out of her nose she broke our private room that was padlocked gained entrance into the room and tore all my wife clothes and baby clothes in the wardrobe and also carried my wife certificates and up till now denying she never carries it

We were 4 members in the family I am the last born she was the second born and my sister was the eldest with one of my junior brother

To cut the long story short three month is gone and she still denied she didn't carry my wife certificates and my life photo album.

My eldest sister has called me again after visiting the pastor a prophet told her that she should call me and apologize for what he did if she really wants to move forward in her life but she refuse saying my number is switched off I know it's a lie she wanted me to call her first.... Tho she has realized the wrong she did the last time I saw her was on my mum Birthday Thanksgiving in the church she feel sober and could not even look me in the eye..... She believes so much in seniority and because she doesn't want to be the one to call first but i learnt that she always talk to my elder sister that she is remorseful for all thathappened but don'tknowhow to put it to me

Now the question is should I call her?
Tho I don't wish to becos I have vowed never to do that until she releases my property and also apologize tonn me but someone told me am the Aburo (junior) that I should call her first

That if I call her she might release the property She made away with
pls is this advisable I need a strong advice
though despite how she maltreated my wife ,my wife has called her and apologize despite that she did not release her certificates and our wedding photo album and other things..... Pls am confused advice me

are u a fool?

How can yo say the earth is perfectly fine-tuned for life? An earth that is perfectly fine-tuned for life wouldn't suffer from cataclysmic events such as earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, floods, volcanic eruptions, mass extinctions; it would neither have uninhabitable swathes of ice and sand deserts, nor predatory and parasitic lifeforms.
No, my "physicist" friend, this earth isn't "perfectly fine-tuned for life", it is just barely able to support certain lifeforms, and you will find that its entropic evolution is ambivalent towards the lifeforms which it harbours.

but those are natural disasters.... You will understand what I'm saying if you would be able to survive for 2 minutes, even in the closest planet to earth.

finetuning argument is not convincing at all

I’d be a lot more impressed with the “fine tuning” argument if modern physics showed that it was _impossible_ for the universe to exist given the values of the fundamental physical constants it has discovered.

In that situation some variation of God’s Sustaining Hand™ would become more plausible.

This is largely Sean Carroll's argument. He says that the constants could be anything and God could still create life. He's magic, after all. That we do indeed have life-supporting constants says that we don't need God to sustain life.

Also, to quote Hans Halvorson To say God needed to fine-tune the universe is to argue that God was somehow constrained by outside factors that he had no control over, which is impossible given his proposed nature: He is the one deciding what the laws of physics are, i.e. the range of what is possible in the first place. So to say that he needs to fine-tune it within a certain range when he is the one deciding what the range is and what is possible within that range, is incoherent.

scientific constants, laws or theories are just the discoveries of the steps and procedures followed or taken by the great sculptor of the universe, God. That is the universe will finitely obey maths rule.......Richard Feynman said, "Why nature is mathematical is a mystery...The fact that there are rules at all is a kind of miracle."

You are so NOT a physicist for this question.

my dear, my points are valid....I've gone through the laws of science and i've found out that scientific laws cannever go beyond biblical laws. The search for alien is a waste of time.

You re quoting from that same Middle_East storybook? Smh.........

Outside fictions and hearsay, why do you believe in him?

why is the earth so perfectly fine-tuned for life ......why can't we get life, even microbes, elsewhere in the universe inspite of the uncountable numbers of planet we are having. If you have a rational sense of reasoning, you ought to know that there's an intelligent force or being who willingly designed the universe that way.

Rubbish!

So is God that created oxygen?

Everything about the God is all fiction!

Walked on water, healed the sick, woke the dead, fed a million, converted water to wine, patched a ear and none has been replicated by its believers except staged!

Who doesn't know where oxygen comes from or how it can be produced

All this sheeples sef! God created Oxygen and who created Carbon mono Oxide? Devil? grin

Mental slavery!

The Bible said that a fool said in His heart that there is no God.....I'm a Physicist, and I fully believe that God does exist.

Religion / Re: What Does It Take To Be A Pastor? Need Answer Please.... by love2017(m): 10:01pm On Aug 13, 2017
Topgainer:
It depends on the kind of Pastor or Bishop you want to be.
If you want to be among the Pentecostal fraudsters you will need to enter any of the Churches and serve the man of gods like a slave would serve his master. You dare not break out except the man of god allows you, otherwise he bring upon you all his intimidation arsenals like empty curses, he may accuse you of stealing his church offerings, he will warn and threaten his subjects not to associate with you. But then you will learn the arts of extortion and twisting the Bible to fund your lucre. The gods of men may be magnanimous enough to take you to the Coven where you will be initiated into the prophetic gang, provided you return tithe of what you make from your own church business.
If you want to serve God selflessly, you don't have to be a Pastor working with any Church, with financial targets on your head. You can be a pastor in your family, in your school, in your office, in your neighborhood and anywhere you find yourself. The Character you exhibit preaches more and influences the people around you to believe in your God. You will also enjoy inner peace because your love of the things of the world and crave for material acquisitions through extortion of the gullibles will be minimal.

To mention a few:

1* Genuine salvation/conversion.
2* Holiness & wholesome living.
3* In-filling/baptism of the HolyGhost.
4* Spiritual gifts.
5* Thorough & sound knowledge of the scriptures.
6* Profound knowledge of and adherence to ministerial ethics.
7* Maturity.
8* Humility
9* Selflesness
10* Leadership skills

wow, those are great points....but after possessing all these attributes how do we now effect the pastoral work......should start by creating our own Church by ourself or by serving under a Church. If we are to serve under a Church, what are the steps?

your conclusion is wrong. sure there agencies who collect fees from and they will not get provide the job as promised. I was recruited through this agent( tomrichards consulting) in my present place of work. No fee was made till I got the job. tomrichards consulting is real.

that is how its supposed to be.....money is supposed to be collected after you getting the job. You will find out that most of this agents/consultants are fake, they will ask you to pay before they will conduct the main interview for you. The truth of the matter is that The real ones are rare while the fake ones are rampant.

I did not see him in that video...so no nice comments for him.

The only brave person died...he hid when it mattered most and now he wants help.

As for the money he needs for the surgery; let them collate the 100Naira they have been taking from checkpoints and treat him, if that is not enough,
They should mount more checkpoints and roadblocks to raise funds...

I will rather use my money for sacrifice than donate a penny of it to the world's most wicked police.

your comments are barbaric....

Can I say its a natural phenomenon that dullards in elementary school days always end up being successful and the intelligent counterparts scarcely make it big? From my own experience: one of the dullards in my class then is now in US married with kids and working as a biochemist. Another one now among the staff of PHCN while me one of the intelligents those days is here working as a teacher in a private school. However, i beelive making it in life is turn by turn: its now my turn to make it big and be successful and Im among the top staff of Shell company in Jesus name amen.

Religion / How Do I Grow In Christ? by love2017(m): 9:46am On Jun 03, 2017
I want to make a great impact in my generation in God's way. But currently, I have a lot to overcome. Amongst them are; ability to function in Church, to do things in the House of God and to do the things of God. Like giving a charge/sermon, leading prayer, songs. Functioning in church. Pls how do i set myself on a path that will make grow to achieve this?

Someone with a spirit led idea should help.
