With an honest aim of understanding the nature of God and his wonder displayed in nature, I had set out on a quest for 'truth'. As a very inquisitive person, a sound background in scientific methods further fueled my already curious and inquisitive nature beyond normal.

As a kid, I asked several questions;
"Since God created everything that exist, what if God never existed, and hence nothing whatsoever exists? I often tried to picture a dark and void space remaining that way for all of eternity!! Whenever I did, I got lost in my wild imaginations"
"How did God come to be? Who created him?"
"What if God never created life? How would the earth be then? I often repeated same imaginations again but this time with planets, asteroids and other heavenly bodies. Of course I got lost again, severally"
"What if I was never born? So I would never have experienced the beauty of life? Scary!"
"Why did Lucifer ruin the Paradise? For Christ sakes we all would have been there now. Why didn't God even kill Lucifer at once earlier to prevent it? He knew the future!"

I grew up into a devote Christian with different questions;
"With the so many religions on earth could we possibly be worshipping the same God in different ways?"
"If the God I worship in the bible is the one true God and creator of the universe, would he destroy non-christians in hell simply because they worshipped him wrongly?"
"Would God really condemn a devote Christian to hell after years of righteous living simply because he erred one time and dies without repentance? Would he now allow a person who has done heinous things into paradise simply because he finally accepts the salvation story in the end?". I had many more questions that bothered my mind but I'd stop there.

These questions didn't matter so much as I still upheld the Bible as truth and lived by its doctrines. On a second thought they must have sown the seed of doubt in my mind; a seed that came to germinate later on.
A lot of things happened during my undergraduate study that shook my belief but for the sake of brevity, I'd mention a few..
I held the opinion that "compared to clerics, scientists better understood the awesomeness and magnificence of God". Come to think of it this way, with every scientific discovery, scientists reveal God's wonder in nature while clerics keep 'recycling' doctrines written in our ancient Holy Bible. The beautiful works of God in nature were unreconcilable with the barbarisms attributed to him in the bible. When some Bible claims corroborate with scientific findings we're good, but when 'outrageous' claims are found in the Bible, we are convinced that they're metaphorical with deeper meaning. Gradually, it became obvious that science had more credence compared to religion. My religiosity reduced drastically as well as my total trust in the bible as ultimate truth. Not sure anymore, I wondered if there's a creator (God) or not. I mean, 'the Bible must have so poorly described God' I thought.

Aside from bible, I sought knowledge of God from various books on religion, spirituality and nature. I read the Qur'an and it bored me. I came across "Earth's Chronicles, The 12th Planet, and other controversial books by Zecharia Sitchin. They were indeed controversial, and I asked myself 'how did he know all those things?' The works of Thomas Paine is worthy of mention. I agreed with him largely, especially his 'Age of Reason'. I discussed my thoughts with another 'thinker' (I choose not to mention his name) and he introduced me to the 'Sumerian Texts', the 'Epic of Gilgamesh' among other amazing books. Wow! What have I been doing. They shared similarities with the Bible so I couldn't help but wonder and ask more questions. 'Did I believe in a big lie all these while?' ...

Dear brother, I wish you know better than what you know for now in reference to understanding GOD.

GOD is whatever you think He is... "As a man thinks in his heart so is he," Proverbs 23:7.

If anyone decides to see God as A NON-EXITING GOD then He relates with such person that way...

Romans 1:28.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.

GOD has given all creatures the FREEDOM to use what they have as tools to build or destroy here on earth and one day to return to Him in His presence to give account of the usage. One of the the tools you have is your ability to query and prove all things in order to hold on to the truth.

1 Thessalonians 5:21.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. However, you need to be EXTREMELY careful in your quest to know the truth as devil is watching you too and STRONGLY desiring to steal your knowledge of the truth you know already and leaping further to take the most previous( your soul ).

My dear friend, kindly guide your heart from the wiles of satan. Remember satan knows your weakness and his only still waiting for God's permission to use it against you but that God is not giving him for HE( GOD ) loves you dearly.

9 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

Go back to God in MEEKNESS of heart and listen to Him to do the explanation in His own way for you and NOT in your way of preemption and presumption.

Do you know that in every superstition there is an element of truth in it? The main reason superstition is not to be accepted is the fact that it lacks clear understanding of the prospect it discussed. One thing I know is that our enemy( devil ) is working and waiting for a time to hit us hard, which is either our time of rest or time of great hope. Ember periods are periods people mostly flash back on their achievements from the beginning or periods of projecting to accomplish great tasks of the year. Therefore, since satan works against man using man's emotions and feelings then such periods of rest and hope may attracts shortcomings. Let us continue to pray always to redeem the time as the days are evil. Ephesians 5:16. God bless you.

The simple truth is that any man in Christ Jesus is a new creature, old things have passed away( including TITHE = 1/10th of your gain ), behold all have become new( no more CONSTANT percentage as the Holy Spirit of God directs and leads you into the truth of what you should give based on His own purpose and WHEN, HOW AND WHERE are determined by HIM alone under His dispensation. Holy Spirit dispensation ). It is just a pity that when we do not go back individually to our own garden of Eden to meet with God on mutual relationship in understanding the spiritual parables then we will always be classified as those who are without as said by Jesus in mark 4:9-12. TITHE = ONE TENTH should be replaced by " CHEERFUL GIVING TO GOD AS LED BY HOLY SPIRIT " In conclusion brother do not let the emotions and feelings you get from giving alms to people be a justifiable stand before God as no man righteousness is worthy to behold God's Heavenly Glory. Remember your act of asking God and giving Him first is a total submission to His Lordship. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savour and not a Savour alone, God bless you more in wisdom and grace. If eating in the dream affects a person negatively, God wouldn’t have used it to give peter a revelation. You should understand that no kind of food can harm us, whether in the dream or in reality. Why Do People Eat In The Dream?
If a person goes to sleep hungry, he may dream of eating. Before Peter dreamt of food, the Bible records he was very hungry. Not hungry but very hungry. If Peter weren’t hungry, God wouldn’t have used food to give him a revelation. Anytime a person goes to sleep hungry, he may dream of food. This explains why many people dream of food when they are fasting.
Another reason a person can dream of food is when the thought of food is in the person’s mind. A person thinking of his favourite food can dream about food. For example, a person that is always thinking of meat would always be dreaming of meat.
Eating in the dream can become poison when you believe so. I challenge you to stop been scared after eating in the dream, rather appreciate God when you wake up for feeding you and your testimony will manifest by the power of God. God bless you.

You are right brother for saying when one eats in the dreams should not be scared as a child of God. However, I strongly want you to know that God is the original Initiator of wonderful idea and plan but the adversary( devil )imitates God by counterfeiting the idea and plan for his own destructive end result. Bible says...But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. Matthew 13:25. Devil works on our emotions and feelings to hurt us all but God uses our faith in him. Eating in the dream or having sex in the dream are mostly spiritual except in few cases of body chemistry interaction due to lack of needed activities. If you find yourself doing any of these mentioned, please don't joke about it. Pray to God in Jesus Christ name and wait for the direction of the Holy Spirit. Whatever He asks you to do, do it even it seems foolish to your understanding. You can always rely on the Holy Spirit. God bless you all.

Women are sincerely doing a great job without any doubt. I once witnessed my child delivery process ad I felt my wife's pain and stress. Any man who is privilege to witness such scene will ever respect women for whom they are. Women well done and may God reward you all with unending joy. I don't want to engage you in any argument, but if you have studied you bible very well, you should have read where Elijah with all the power bestow on him by God, beg God to take his life when he was threatened by a woman called Jezebel. Where Samson preferred to die with the Philistines instead of asking God to kill them alone. Even Jesus Christ our saviour who knows his end before coming to this earth, asked God to take the cup of suffering from him. Na God dey decide to save person and give them grace to endure whether you dey serve am or not. If na lie, ask Stephen. He was still stoned to death even when the heaven was opened and he saw Jesus Christ in his Glory.

The only truth is we should be careful with our feelings and emotions as they are the easy tools used by the devil and demons to subject God to the 2nd position in our lives.
