Tugiakwa! only Yorubas can say this:" Pickpocketing Is More Lucrative Than Auto Engineering - Suspect "

For us Igbos, Auto Engineering is more lucrative than pickpocketing.

As someone who sews, i would say get something a bit bigger and better quality. You dont want to be changing machines every year. Yes, You want something small, but invest in one good enough to last a few years. And take quite a beating.

This type looks like what you would buy a child who isnt quite sure if they will take up sewing as a gift.

As a crafter, i would suggest you go for one of the basic entry level models of janome, singer, brother, toyota or husquvana just to name a few. Janome particularly have some at good prices.

I bought a small singer, and to be honest i now wish i had bought something larger. It has its limitations but 5 years of some very heavy use, its still ticking alright.

Cc. Dtphilosopher: dont take offence, i am not trying to spoil your market, this is just my honest opinion. If you want to market to crafters you need to get products that will appeal to them.
I will wait until when I am getting married. A sewing machine is usually bought for the bride to use for handwork. My mum gave out her own so that the machine can be oiled regularly. As a teacher, she does not have time for sewing.
CrimeRe: Mechanic Burns Daughter’s Eyes, Private Parts With Iron ( Graphic Content) by lovemaths(f): 10:50pm On Aug 26, 2016
lozanni:
cry Father from hell!!!

Imagine brutalising a five year old child in this horrible manner.

Some of these artisans like Carpenters, Mechanics, bricklayers are themselves victims of immense child abuse, because many of them are beaten with very hardwood on their knuckles and given other horrendous punishment each time their bosses feel angry with them. I know of a particular one who was given such knuckle treatment and many years after, in the University ( thank God he abandoned.the apprenticeship), he was still complaining of pains in the knuckle, especially during periods of intense academic writting like during exams.
While not excusing the evil act of the mechanic, the practice of sending young boys to such apprenticeship needs review by the social welfare people because many of those boys turn out to be wicked and heartless adults due to the emotional trauma and pain they passed through in their youth. The pains they suffered earlier on, they now inflict on their own apprentices, children and wards.
Thus the vicious cycle continues.
It is very true. I went to a business centre to make
photocopies in Lagos all of a sudden the boss, a guy in his late twenties just hit the teenage apprentice boy on his chest for a slight mistake. the boy endured it. they were both Yorubas and Muslims and it was their fasting period.

Thank you so much. I will continue with my needle and thread then because I just need something portable to sew the lining of my crochet bags. In future I will be able to buy the brands you suggested.
