Riverville:hello Op, good work you are doing. Pls how can l get high yielding Okro seeds? I'm currently in ljebu ode. Also is Okro farming really a profitable venture here ? Cos it seems Okro consumption isn't much here in Ogun and South West generally. I'll really appreciate your response. Thanks |
Op you will not make heaven for attaching that pishure ![]() |

The little l know is insufficient water, lemme take the back seat and learn from the pro's |
Farmerakinloye6:Sure bro |
Farmerakinloye6:Ok boss, l was thinking with this and the rain supplementing l will be able pull through before the dry season sets in fully, anyways l will consider your suggestion. Thanks |
noeloge82:Obviously bro, actually there is a borehole very close to the farm, my plan is to get a Gp tank and store water from the borehole, l will be using long pipe and knapsack where necessary for the irrigation, hope this will suffice for now ![]() |
I am about to set up a cucumber farm(1000 stands on a plot) after reading and following alot of cucumber threads here, this my first farming experience though! and l am giving my time 100% to it. I've just finished clearing the land, and l was discussing my irrigation plan with the man that lease the land to me, the man was like.. you don't need irrigation at all for now unless you want to plan again in December.... According to him the soil is very fertile has alot of water in it already, anyways from a layman view the land appears so to me ... Attached is the soil sample, what do you think pro's in the house ![]()

Op come make l teach how to prepare efere afang |
Sabaugo:You're welcome |
Since you'll be traveling from Lagos, l suggest you travel with Aktc and you have to book ahead, if you are flying then Ibom air is your best plug. Once you arrive in uyo, if you can afford take a direct cap to your destination in Oron, an hour journey on average. Alternatively take a trycicle (Keke), tell the rider to stop you at lfa junction or lbiaku junction all in Oron road Uyo, you'll get public caps or buses going to Oron, l think they charge N500, if you don't like agbero stuffs then tell the rider to take you directly to timber market park off timber junction Oron Road Uyo, you'll see vehicles going to Oron, though they charge higher and you may be delayed. Their final bus stop in Oron is Secretariat Junction. Once you alight take a bike to Maritime, they charge N50 or slightly high. Oron is a cool place, have a nice stay ![]() |
God abeg o |

jethro2:Okay ma, Hope he complies, for that commitment fee part, l suggest next time you make it as conspicuous as possible that it is NONREFUNDABLE.... you no say english dey hard we sometimes Peace! |
Good stuffs, l will need the greengo seeds by October, hope it will be available |
This one choke oo.. l was surprised when Op was called out as being be a fraudster because l have followed some of her posts here especially on the cucumber farming thread, and l was really pleased. Anyways it's good she has come out to defend herself with another side of the story we never knew, all good. But just as the superior guy stated, it was never part of the agreement that money paid is nonrefundable under any condition or reason, on this ground OP l will suggest you credit the guy back some amount, at least he is ready to take 50%, times are hardd ![]() |
Nezzjnr:Ok bro, seems you're one of the pro's ... But how will l prevent water from touching the leaves at early stage(germination stage) where the leaves are almost at ground level ![]() |

Peace!
