Kenneth Emuobo Gbagi Jnr, son of the Nigeria’s Minister of State for Education, Mr. Kenneth Gbagi allegedly locked up a six months pregnant woman in his father’s hotel in Warri and repeatedly raped her on February 22, 2011 in one of the most bizarre rape cases.

The rape victim, one Mrs. Oghenekobiruo Solomon, 26, who is said to be scared of losing her unborn due to the trauma was treated in an undisclosed hospital for minor injuries sustained while her husband, Mr. Solomon Okpame has threatened to “deal with” his wife’s abductor.

A source close to the minister told Pointblanknews.com that Gbagi Jnr who is in his late 20’s, met Mrs. Solomon during a reception last year in honor of his father who was appointed a minister and started the hunt. He was told the woman is married but insisted he wanted to meet her. After months of overtures, it was learnt that the minister’s son invited his victim to his hotel room under the pretext of securing her a multi million naira contract in the Education Ministry. She fell for it, and her ordeal began.

Pointblanknews.com gathered that unknown to the lady; the meeting place was Geekay Hotel, Jakpa Road, Effurun, Warri owned by Kenneth Gbagi. She was allegedly locked up in one of the rooms and raped repeatedly despite telling her abductor that she is married and six months pregnant.

It was further gathered that out of fear, Mrs. Solomon did not go to the police to file a complaint but rather tabled her experience with the Oginibo Village Council. The ugly incident is currently being handled by the Oginibo Village council. The head of the Gbagi family is said to have been invited to appear before the council.


Gbagi Jnr is the Managing Director of Woodridge Hotels and is said to be involved in running is father’s many other illicit contract deals.

I want us to dedicate the forum thread for April 2011 elections.

First and foremost INEC should have asked MTN,AIRTEL,ETISALAT,and GLO to forward the names the have during the sim registration exercise so as to reduce the myriads of problems that they are now facing.

Anyway I want to urge all elegible voters to always carry their camera phones to polling booths and take videos or pictures of centers that are experiencing irregularites and post such videos and pictures here.

Dear Nigeirans i hope you have noticed the non-chalant attitide which is common in GOVT Civil service of coming late to work has crept into this exercise by INEC youth corps officials , it is fraustrating to see INEC youth corpers coming to registration centers by 10am when they are supposed to resume by 8am and so many Nigerians as old as their grand parents waiting endlessly and anxiously for them.
I f these young officials find themselves in private companies like banks or manufacturers where work starts at 7am or 7.30am with this type of attitude they will be shown the way out immediately.

Most of these statistics shown above prove many things about Nigeria. For instance, that we have a very massive and burgeoning middle class population. Secondly, that despite the fact that we have had very bad leaders, we might want to cut them some slack a little bit, cos with the mess that Nigeria is , we are still better than a whole lot of countries out there!
And most importantly, Nigeria is the best place to be right now as the opportunities that exist in this country are much more than what you would get in most countries of the world!

2 our educational system is in shambles, Some private primary and secondary schools are as expensive as havard university.

3 Sundan can be a breeding ground for ALQAEDA and Bokoharam but we cannot have upto 5m Nigerians there reason being that we like good things of life.

5 our economy is for the politicans,NASS and house of reps members who are milkong the economy with their every increasing jumbo pay and inflated contracts awarded to themselves and their sorrugates
