Even before this war, Mahmoud Abbas couldn't handle the Palestinian territory, Hamas was ruling Gaza while Mahmoud rules West Bank, making Palestine a state won't help and the govt of Palestine won't be able to arrest Hamas nor hand them over to anyone.
