bolagabriella: I love this thread,it brought back so many memories and I feel for every guys and ladies that have been heartbroken.
I grew up to be a lady that's in love with love,I don't date guys I don't feel any chemistry for at first sight or meting, and if I can't imagine me kissing you then I can't and won't date you.I broke so many guys heart (can't say how many cos guys started askin me out since when I was in primary school even though I have no tits then).anyways I play games with guys heart and so on,the highest relationship I had was two weeks and the lowest was 24hours,I just don't care.Am a very stubborn and adamant lady with beautiful lips and the right stature, face and boobs that match and a killer look but last year I was given a dose of my own medicine.I gained admission but despite my flirtous attitude,I didn't date much just a guy in my predegree days then I met my ex,he was actually my nextdoor neighbour.he ws in 300level when I was in 100level,we became friends, real good friends for close to 6months.I realize along the line that he has fallen for me but he didn't tell me because he's one of those guys that don't really fancy placing their hearts in a girl's hand. One night he followed me to my room,we talked then he said he was leaving,I followed him so as to locked my door after him then he turned towards me at the door and kissed me,I responded cos I've been waiting for it too but I didn't show it cos I realize he was beginning to mean a great deal to me but then after the whole kiss I still told him to never do it again, that it was all a mistake and we should just forget it.Anyways that kissed changed it all cos the next thing I knew was we started doing more of the kissing and romancing and staring at the stars, taking a walk in the night then the fullstop-telling each other I love you.I notice how vulnerable he looks everytime he says I love you and how within a seconds he becomes a child when with me and I love the transformation, shows that I've not loose my touch.Anyways,he graduated and didn't call me much, anytime he does it was always like he was using the remaining #10 on his phone to call me.I got pissed,I mean,a beautiful girl like me been treated this way by one guy,I didn't show my hurt, never did,and I never cheated on him despite the fact that I could have my pick from boys to guys to men to married men but I just take it in and type what am feeling on my phone. He came back to school last year around march/april for his mobilization and I was glad to see him because I so much love him.the night he arrived,we talked and he went down on his two knees, saying that he's sorry for not treating me the way I deserve and that he promise to be a better man,I forgave him then we went to his friend's room...I was playing game on his phone when a message came in then after a minute,a girl called him but I never cared cos I was so sure he can never and will never cheat on me.Anyways, the lady called back,I gave him the phone but he didn't pick but still me no dey suspiscous,it happened two more times, the third time,I picked it and put it in his ears so he had no option than to talk...he gave me back the phone but I got tempted to go through his inbox and sent messages and oh boy! Wat I saw took my breath away.messages that well....
I sha took it all in again, didn't put up any feeling to make him suspect I knew he was cheating on me,funniest part was after the whole thing,I found out he wasn't cheating on me but he was cheating on her cos he was dating her before we even met so I have no right.I told him I was leaving,as we got outside the lady called again and he left me to pick the call but I kept on walking,I got to my room and just sat down there and cry but wipe them tears away when I heard his footsteps.I ask him to let us go look at the stars then when we were seated outside, staring at the sky I just asked a simple and direct question of "who is she, tell me all about it" and I like him cos he didn't try to forestall but he gave me a direct answer then after it came the I'm sorry part.I told him I hate it when a guy says am sorry to a situation he could have avoided and that he should know me better than say I'm sorry...I went back to my room, didn't sleep but cried all through the night and day,I made it a habit of mine to always dedicated 24hours to all of my exes then...after,start flirting again but after him, flirting just wasn't an option again and it lost it's sweetness and he made me hungry for love...more of love so I searched for it,this year june 7 made it a year since we broke up,it was a six month relationship,we broke up a week to my birthday.I don't hate him,I never can and am sure he's gonna be a great man because I see potentials in him but too bad things ended up the way they did but God! I love our relationship
OMG! I never meant to post a long story,,,sorry guys...me just caught in the moment

i feel ur pain, how i wish i am that guy u loved. So bad that you are just being paid back with your own coin. Seriously speaking, i am that kind of man of your dream. I am ready to luv u,sincerely!

Romance / Couple Spent $1.56 On Their Wedding by luckgood(m): 3:53pm On Sep 05, 2013
Artist Georgina Porteous, 36, and 39-year-old singer-songwriter Sid Innes budgeted just $1.56 for their big day. Yep, you read that right. The pair are dedicated to recycling and self-sufficiency, according to the U.K.'s Metro News, so they vowed to keep the day they exchanged vows super simple.

So how did the couple throw a great fête for 70 guests for such a paltry price? Porteous and Innes said their "I do's" in a barn on their property behind their cottage. Porteous spent $1.56 on a vintage ivory wedding gown that she found on freecycle.org, a network of exchanges and gifting, while Innes wore an old tweed suit. The couple’s rings were handmade by Porteous using antlers she found in her garden. Her mother officiated the ceremony and a neighborhood reverend donated his services for free in order to make it all official.

For the reception, the venue was decorated with locally grown flowers, hay bales, and lanterns that community farmers contributed. The newlyweds asked their guests to bring food and drinks for a potluck picnic and Porteous's aunt baked the cake. The wedding photographer who captured the festivities bartered his services in exchange for some film editing by Porteous. And the affair’s music came courtesy of the bride's father, who played jazz on the saxophone.

“We thought we’d do [our wedding] differently and we started to become quite obsessed with it and ways to save money. It was exciting, fun and a challenge," Innes said in a YouTube video. One fee the couple couldn’t get out of paying? The $109.23 charge for a marriage license. Hopefully, it was totally worth it.

While cost-cutting measures that Innes and Porteous took for their nuptials are certainly extreme, there are plenty of ways to have a budget-friendly wedding. Here are some tips and tricks for thrifty ways to tie the knot.

The dress — If you don't have a a friend or family member who can lend you a dress (that she probably wore only once), there are a lot of great websites that sell once-worn wedding dresses. “When my clients come to me and are looking to keep costs down, I recommend that they resell their dresses,” Tracy Taylor Ward, owner and principal designer/planner of Tracy Taylor Ward Design, told Yahoo Shine. Sites like NearlyNewlywed.com and Tradesy make the process easy. And if you’re lucky, you might even make a profit if you sell yours. Sample sales, consignment shops, eBay and e-commerce site Etsy, which focuses on handmade and vintage items, are great options as well.
The rings — Not everyone is as deft at ring-making as Porteous is, but Etsy has plenty of artisans with similar skills who sell affordable alternatives to typical gold and silver wedding bands. Titanium and gold-plated metals look like the real thing at just a fraction of the price.
Flowers — In the United States, $1,997 was the average amount spent on flowers and decor per wedding in 2012. Ward suggested working with larger flowers. “Hydrangeas are a good-value flower because they’re always in season and you don't need as much to fill out an arrangement. You need more roses to fill out the same amount of space,” she said.
Venue — Being able to throw a wedding at your own place or at the home of a friend or family member is the cheapest route, but for those outsourcing to other locations, there are tricks for trimming expenses. Most venues' rates vary by season, so if you can get a place during the off-season, its prices will be either lower than at peak times or negotiable because it's not going to have as much business during that period. Avoid holidays because prices tend to inflate. Additionally, tying the knot on a Friday or a Sunday is slightly less expensive than on a Saturday.
Food — Pass on the raw bar and filet mignon and skip food stations, added Ward: instead opt for passed hors d'oeuvres and a sit-down dinner.
The wedding cake — Wedding cakes cost, on average, $560, but you certainly don't have to spend that much. “Cakes are typically priced per slice, so try to find a bakery in your budget,” suggested Ward. An alternative cost-cutting measure is to ask the bakery for a smaller display cake and have extra sheet cakes in the kitchen for when it runs out.

Religion / End Time Tinz Or Things Craze by luckgood(m): 9:44pm On Sep 02, 2013
Hello guyz. I don't know maybe this is the right section to share this, but I just have to make my intention to be known. However,I have noticed recently on Nairaland threads that there some unscrupulous element who always want to say something irrespective of the fact that they've gat nothing to say except to say 'End Time Tinz'(ETT) and ultimately add no value or better still defeat the purpose of an ongoing discuSsions. Now,what is the craze about this ETT cos I know someone must have started it though, and I don't expect it to be seen as a laughing matter or any object of scorn.
I believe end time things as it is written in Matt 24,even if the event is being played out today still call for sobber reflection, repentance and restitution. Pls,guys I don't mean to be sarcastic about this ETT but I feel its being over rated and it should stop... anyway, thatz my opinion. undecided

Romance / Jilted Boyfriends Upload Girlfriends' Nude Videos On Internet by luckgood(m): 4:45pm On Aug 19, 2013
Jilted boyfriends are uploading the nude videos of their former girlfriends on the internet to get back at their former lovers.

This trend, called revenge pornography, has taken over major social sites on the internet in recent times, investigation has revealed.

The leaked photographs and videos are uploaded on sites like Facebook, Twitter, blogs and many porn sites.

Revenge pornography can be described as the deliberate sharing of erotic photographs and videos from previous relationships majorly to humiliate a former partner.

Findings further reveal that these explicit pictures and videos are often posted by couples after a break-up.

However, in some cases, some of the partners may have been commissioned by blogs and porn sites for the photographs and videos of sexual actions.

Investigation by our correspondent showed that in Nigeria, just like many parts of the world, women are often the victims of revenge pornography. This is confirmed by the over 30 videos seen by our correspondent.

Leaked sex videos and photographs of Nigerians can easily be found on some websites.

Some amateur websites have reportedly been set up solely for videos and pictures considered revenge porn. Some websites too even ask for such videos from the public for a handsome reward.

Analysts say revenge pornography is urgently becoming a genre of pornography on the internet attracting several viewers because the videos are leaked and debasing and the victims could easily be identified. Moreover, some of the victims do not even know they are being recorded.

While in some cases, the women may not know that they are being recorded by their partners, in other cases, the women are seen showing so much trust in their men recording such sexual sessions believing the videos would be kept secret.

One of the over 30 of such recorded videos currently on the internet, has the naked lady, reportedly a student of a Nigerian university, shyly asking his male partner, whose face is blanked out, why he was recording the session.

The male partner, on the other hand, is heard telling the lady that they would watch the video after the love-making session before deleting it.

In another video published on a website, a young Nigerian lady is seen on top of the man in a lovemaking session inside a corporate office with Wande Coal’s Taboo playing at the background. They are recorded with their faces clearly seen by a third partner whose female voice sang along with the music.

Yet in another video currently on many internet sites, a mature woman is seen doing a Mouth Gig for the man who hides his face.

The man soon tells her: “get up! It is time for the real show.”

He, however, informs her that they would both watch the recording before deleting it. Then the woman sits astride the man who continues to record the “show”. There is the recent case of Miss UNIZIK, whose nude photographs are everywhere on the internet. According to the report, the student was said to have had issues with her boyfriend who posted the photographs.

Currently, some non-governmental organisations are beginning to sensitise women against allowing their nude photographs to be taken by men at any point in time.

A website has been set up by an American, Holly Jacobs, where victims can air their grievances.

Celebrities / Jackson Said Tour Would 'kill' Him: Son by luckgood(m): 12:32pm On Jun 27, 2013
Prince Michael Jackson has testified that his late father thought the This Is It tour would kill him.

Michael Jackson said that tour promoters AEG Live were going to "kill" him as he rehearsed for a marathon concert tour shortly before his death, his son Prince has testified.

The 16-year-old also recounted the harrowing scenes on the day Jackson died in 2009, recalling how his younger sister Paris was "screaming" as doctor Conrad Murray was trying to revive her father.

"He just wished he had more time for rehearsals," he told the wrongful death trial, in which the Jackson family accuses AEG Live of negligently hiring Murray to care for the star for his doomed This Is It shows.

The teenager said Jackson was upset on the phone "a lot of time," most of the time with AEG Live chief Randy Phillips.

"He would cry sometimes. He said: 'They're gonna kill me, they're gonna kill me'." Asked who he was talking about, he said: "People in AEG, Randy Phillips."

Jackson, the most high-profile witness to testify since the civil trial started in late April, recalled June 25, 2009, the day his father died of an overdose of anaesthetic propofol, given by Murray to help with chronic insomnia.

"I was downstairs in the sitting room. I heard screaming upstairs. I saw Dr Conrad, (personal chef) Kai (Chase) looked nervous and said 'Dr Murray wants you upstairs'.

"I ran upstairs and I saw Dr Murray doing CPR on my dad. Dr Murray was screaming while doing CPR. Then my sister came upstairs. She was screaming all the time saying she wants her dad," he added.

Appearing to fight back tears, he recalled how the children followed the ambulance which took Jackson to hospital, in a separate car.

"My dad always told us that angels were looking after him. At the hospital, Dr Murray said 'Sorry kids, dad is dead'. We just cried," he told the jury.
