You guys are talking about a bank that is trying to be as fair as possible with good salary, just visit those industrial centers where you have Chinese and Indians puting Nigerians thru heal; where people stand outside with no hope of getting a job even those who got in are at the risk of loosing it to those outside, abegi make una let person hear word boo; you see work you dey complain of time, make those new grads grab the job with the condition of working for up to 15hrs, then you will understand.

some people don't know that it is not until one hits the head on a rock in order to have headache before one can believe that paracetamol and co can cure the pains.

If you know Paul very well then it will shock you to know how some group of undergrounds are working round the clock to shut him up from visiting the TV station, go to the then Minaj, GTV, and ask why with all the cash NTA will not allow him; visit the web and type HIV conspiracy and you will be surprised at your findings.

The only place i see people with HIV is on TV, yes they have created the fear in us that there is no cure that is because they want to continue to produce the anti-retroviral drugs and make more money and also control the world the way they want.

This is the same Paul that said sometimes ago that he will give 10Million naira to any one that can confirm an HIV patient; this is a man who also said if you eat ordinary meat too much to the extent of overflow because of the presence of some particles in your blood the HIV test kit will confirm that you have HIV and you know what that means.

Even the so-called government people visit him, his product are sold even in London.

anytime they like they can go home, if you don't like the closing time nobody stops you from walking away abi, if the bank wish to close by 1pm let it be so as long as the workers don't complain; of what use is a worker who closes early but cannot feed his family? some people are ready to close by 12am so long as they can get paid for the job done.

Good point. What has he done with his so-called millions other than enticing gulible young
girls to his 'koko mansion'?
HC:
Funny, you call that effort. What has done with money to better lives? Any humanitarian cause? Youth empowerment? Or even talen-hunt?
correct me if am wrong sometimes in the past the person in question gave some gift items to the less priviledge, in my opinion I don't think he should come on air to annouce that he plans to give something to them as you may like to see him do, or do you think that guy is blessed and there must be something he is doing that pleases God to continue to bless him. Go to Kano street in Lagos you will see that some very rich people quietly visit the place to give support to the less priviledge, or do you think they should all come with TV just to show haba grow up.

If you call the girls gullible no problem one day one of these girl will make 5 million and set up good business for herself and family; i rather be so gullible and make 5 million than be too proud and make nothing
SportsRe: Nigerian League Fan Thread: Enter D Place N Know Every by luckiest: 11:39am On May 24, 2009
its is not going to be easy to just transfer ones property just like that; but in all sincerity if you want to know who is government, in my opinion its the people, because if I am the governor today, tomorrow it would be someone else, so there is no permanent occupant of the government house; the money the government spends belongs to the people, the services the government render are for the people, so it is not about hand off ones property and given loan to that group of people, even if they don't give the loan it will certainly succeed; what this proposal is suggesting is that the government should shift responsibility of operating the club to those who can properly handle it and make good profit, no club till date have actually declared profit.

But in this case the proposal is suggesting that while the property is in the hands of the people they will pay tax like every other private business maybe 1 or 2 tax cut here and there, but the truth is that this property belongs to the people and must be managed by the people.

Currently if we say the property belong to the government and not the people, of what use if the club to the government today.

1 - Publicity is what Orji Kalu used Eyimba to achieve, but imagine if that same Kalu where to be the government of say Manchester, with Man U and Man City as their main club you will agree with me that his contribution will be minimal but credit will be given to him for given his support to the success of the teams; if Eyimba is as successful as Man U and all he needed to do was to transfer the ownership of the club from the government to the people and eventually they become as successful as Man U or Barcelona, what could be more.

2 - Income, a club is suppose to make money but apart from Eyimba I don't know of any local club that make good money (my opinion) but even the Eyimba what they make I consider peanut when you know the figure of what Real Madrid paid for Robinho right from Brazil; if our league is well parkaged and our players are trained to top quality by the best hands, you will agree with me that one they we will read or hear of big time transfers right from the home front that is over $10Million, but that amount in the life of a Nigerian club today and you will see what that means, but that is where they truly belong.

3. Tax income - government will surely enjoy the success of every business within its environment no doubt and tax is a better opportunity, whenever mney changes hand it is good for the land; if people visit the stadium to what match say a stadium of about 20,000 and the minimum gate fee is 500, that is cool N10Million and that could be more depending on how the club parkages itself and the government gets say 5% or 10%, so instead of spending and generating nothing, they are making more and spend nothing. there are several other areas the government will be making money club the government; movement of people alone is something big, and if a club is popular the state will enjoy the unity and peace that comes from football.

4. Government attention - if government spent less time and money on football there will be certainly more time for the government on other areas that affects our lives positively, which is why the government must get it hands off the clubs and still make money from it. In fact there should be a set target by the government to their various club; if handed over, a club should be able to have as its capital base the sum of N5Billion in like 10 years, so the state can say if you don't hit this target will be returned back to the state as probably a failed business that cannot be run by the private hand, but I can beat my chest to say they will certainly make it even the less successful club will surely surpass that target but they might not win silverwares.

Every right thinking club operating within this proposal will surely have a website, because a website in todyas business have a vital role to play and the would-be owners will surely get a functional one. All they just need to do is hire the best people in the land to design, get information and host it. and if they want to make the site popular they will encourage their members to visit the site regularly for almost the same reason as a Man U or Arsenal fan will visit their sites.

Club Logo - not many people who support Eyimba likes the logo, what i think the club should do is to call for a design presentation from fans and friends of the club of a unique logo that will truly reflect the club identity. The fans or member should be allowed to pick that which they think its the best and after weeks and month of hand work from the organisers and fun by the members, the 10 best design will be unveiled and the club will organise a TV show where the general public will be allowed to vote for the best. The club will surely make some money because when people send vote through short codes money is generated, but the TV show will make the designed logo more popular and embedded in the minds of the people; and there will be the bragging of who has the best logo among the clubs. Check out the logos of the top 4 in England not as if they are finer that those of other clubs but because they have received adequate publicity by the owners it makes them stand out; they might not have done it the same way I have justed but in order to catch up the above is a process that is long but the shortest way to achieving something close to that level.

More gains for the state and nation - if every home club agrees to build at least one youth training center in each of the local government of their state; I see a tough national sports festival because the state government will be able to select the best to represent the state at the NSF and other national event like the Shell Cup, etc; the NFF will enjoy the privilege of getting the best to represent the nation at the U-17 and U-21, even the Super Eagles will surely get unlimited supply of pure talents.

With the success of our league there will be additional job created, even the press will not be left out because if the league is successful, pressmen will have more than enough news to sell their papers and even more content for their TV shows. I see a situation where most of our TV sport shows will be contents from the local scene; it is possible. Let me take you back in the days when our TV music shows was dominated by foreign content, but today the story is different, we can now see quality content from our local producers. this is what I expect from this proposal; imagine a 1 hour progamme not enough to talk about the ramataz of the league. You will surely see a full 1 hour programme that deals entirely on the life and style of the player; they will be programmes that will discuss the coaches, the board, the youth games, the wife or girl friends of the players; the referees; the communities where the clubs are located; the top scorers; the losers; the charity works of the clubs or players etc; this and more depending on the creativety of the press guys. PSL in South Africa have one station dedicated to it by Supersports, so just imagine the content surely will never be dry; we can surpass the South Africa but first we must believe we can do it, we must start now.

notice how the bottom 4 are all North Central. . .i wonder why
today the league belongs to the highest bidder what do you expect, we can move away from that when we consider to support and make contribution to the proposal. So many things will change, but remember also that last season a team from the North actually won the league (Kano Pillars); in a game there will be winners and losers, but good clubs will go down and come up again. chelsea fc have gone on relegation more than 5 times or so, but look at where they are today that is the name of the game.

Thanks a lot for the contribution

I believe you will agree with me that every state in the federation has several millionnaires that will make this project work; in states like nasarawa that you mentioned it is true that more poor people live there but they will at least make an effort to support a club; all the government who will be transfering the clubs to the will ensure that majority of those in the club are credible, trust and serious businessmen or women. If we have a 20 member board at least 5 slot should be reserved for people from within the state, while the other 15 slot should be left for other interested businessmen or women either from the state or any part of the world.

dominique:
@luckiest

your plans are good. . .if only we weren't in nigeria  sad

you mentioned something about each club bringing in board members that will generate cash for it. i'm sure these members are business minded people and will hesitate to invest if there wont be any returns.
plus, lets not forget that some of these clubs are from poor states (Benue, Nasarrawa etc). finding board members will not too easy for teams like that.

i believe its achievable but first NFF (or is it NPL) should give targets for these teams to meet by the end of the season. . . that way they will be able to do more aggressive marketing and make their teams more attractive and play more .

we have a long way to go. . .but i believe we'll get oneday smiley smiley wink
A well parkaged sport surely gets good returns, it might be slow but it will surely come. How? some might ask; as long as fun and business is the key reason for football money will always be attracted it; this is a good business and a win win situation for everyone who invest. if clubs have good number of fans that are encouraged to buy out the store at considerable rate then the club will rake in lots of money but how do we make people shop; in the shop of most top foreign clubs are items that can be found in the regular market but the only difference is that the ones found in the club's shop are branded and it must be of very good quality. In Nigeria it might be difficult to sell very expensive items when you consider the level of the economy but when the club and the manufacturer or suppliers are given some incentive that will ensure they cut down the cost of production and supply, then the cost of the items will drop to the level of the common man. Imagine the possibility of buying a very good quality jersey for only a thousand naira when fake branded jersey of foreign clubs are sold for about a thousand five hundred naira. The clubs should ensure that most household item are sold in the shop, so if I can find most of the items in need from wrist watches, bag, shoes, jerseys, etc, provided they are affordable there wouldn't be a need for me to make use of the open market for most of the items. Even authorization could be given to some shopping malls to market the items.

A good product like a successful clubs will always attract sponsors from home and abroad; if it is so attractive enough and sponsors start falling over themselves then it is good for the clubs as their annual return will surely rise. Selling of players have also been considered a good way of make the millions, so if the clubs give strong support to the youth developmental centers in all their local government areas and the players get the necessary match experience by playing for the club then there is a sure possibility that 3 out of 10 players gives the club the revenue it requires every season, even when such players don't get to play any match for the club scouts from other top foreign clubs could even identify him right from the academies. It is not enough to have a successful club without the academies because the stronger the base the better the finance that will come in when you consider that Arsenal FC of London who for the part 4 seasons have never won anything yet their revenue by no doubt one of the highest, so its not until a club wins something that they can make money.

As a nation we can capitalise on the talents available in the land and become the best destination for the scouts of the world; all these are no rocket science when you consider the availability of resources. Chelsea FC is today worth more than twice amount it was bought originally by the Russian Billionaire.

Every state should try as much as they can  to present about two clubs so that it will create the frenzy of a local derby and whenever there is rivalry amongst club; from London to Cairo to Milan, the story is the same and more money for the investors.

Clubs should endeavour to rebrand at least after 5 or 10 years; parkaging a club regularly creates an attractive product; and we should ensure that clubs are not owned by just one individual that is why I have suggested that there should be a limit of shares owned by an individual to say 10% or even less, because we have to avoid a situation where a club dies after the demise of the largest owner; the success of a club should be tired to the people and they must feel a part of the club by been allowed to buy into the club shares.

At every stage of membership their should be a limit of share one can acquire;

The board (Gold Members) should be given 40% of the entire club.

While the Silver Members should be given 25%, while the bronze and green members, will get 20% and 15% respectively; whenever a new member is willing to join the club at any level of membership, when the process commences within a given period to allow every available share to be sold to interested buyers; the limit to purchase only 1.5% should be more than 5Million naira, so that if we have 20 people as gold members we automatically have 30% of the club would have been purchased, while the balance 10% will be bidded for by the same gold members at the same rate or any other interested individual still at 1.5% for 5Million naira but no one should get more than 10%.

I WILL GIVEN MORE DETAILS CONCERNING THE TV RIGHTS AND ELECTION INTO CLUBS EXECUTIVE

yes many people will disagree with most of the things i have said here or think of it as something that is not possible; but remember most people never believe a black man can become the president of America.

all the clubs must be headed by an elected president, whose tenure must be renewed or halted by an election.

Since every member is expect to join the club through one of the 20 board member then it makes it easy to setup an electoral system like Barcelona and Real Madrid (in subsequent response I will give details of how a smooth and credible election can take place for a credible board to run the club with majority support)

Given a credible setup, we are sure sponsors will like to be part of the project where a club can boost of over a 100,000 strong support; i imagine a situation where a club can rack at least 500 Million each from a single sponsor and if they can command the respect of 10 sponsors then you do the calculation (it is possible because even with the current poor situation Warri Wolve has a contract that is worth 100million) so with the idea I have suggested here I see even foreign patronage.

Every state owner club that is transformed using this advice; we expect that they have a stadium to themselves; do they have to build a new stadium or use the state owned stadium; well, it is simple, every state has at least two stadium all the state government should do is hand over the existing stadium to the club but before that is done we need to first get a loan from the state government or grant that is payable over 10 years; part of this grant will be used to refurbish the stadium to an international standard fitted with all basic amenities suitable for modern event; we expect every turf to be lush green so we can either go for the emirate type of turf where artificial is mixed with real grass or go for the FIFA 2 turf used at the Teslim Balogun stadium in Lagos.

We must ensure that the stadium has a control room with inbuilt HD and SD facility capable of transmitting matches to any part of the world.

TO THE COACHES:
Any club that has the capacity to raise over N2Billion yearly should go for the best or some of the best coach around, local or foreign; the coaches should be allowed to choose his technical crew like every professional club.

TO THE PLAYERS:

Like the coaches the club should be allowed to go for the best regardless of nationality but effort should be made by the club to setup at least one super-center to groom young players locally in each of the local government in their state.

players should be advised or informed that they are role-model and must act like one all the time; part time English education should be given to most of them in order to be able to express themselves occasionally.

In a choice location the clubs are expected to build accommodation where the players and the coaching crew will be housed; in my opinion 6 block of 10 storey building with each block having 20 apartment of 2 bedroom flat for the players; or the six blocks 2 should be used for the players since more clubs usually have about 35 players. the other 4 blocks should be 3 bedroom apart where apart from the coaching crew other members of the public are expected to rent the apartments so that the club will generate fund. Around the area where this apart is located is where you will find the club training ground, a mini mart, swimming pool, and other basic amenities needed by the players and their neighbours.

The club can also take advantage of their new status to partner kit manufactures, or the states can invite some manufacturers into their state and give them exclusive opportunity to kits the home club for 10 years tax free provided they will setup their company in the state and open shops in all the local government and employs Nigerians; it doesn't matter if the company is known provide they can manufacture quality sports wears; the state should give them more incentive to lure them to capitalize on the opportunity.

Or states from all the geopolitical zones can form an alliance to invite any of the interested kit companies to setup their presence in the zone and open mega shops in all the states of the zones.

IN MY NEXT EDITION WILL TALK ABOUT THE TELEVISION RIGHT AND OTHER AREAS TO TRULY HAVE A QUALITY LEAGUE, MEANWHILE YOUR INPUTS IS NEEDED
SportsRe: Nigerian League Fan Thread: Enter D Place N Know Every by luckiest: 2:08pm On May 20, 2009
from the above in my calculation we have a little more than a 250million which is only the minimum, but when you consider the fact that more people will certainly join when they realize that in all parts of the country every state is doing something simple; lets paint a senario where we know it is possible to create a membership club of 100,000.

It is possible to have about 50 people per club in the gold membership = 250,000,000

It is possible to have about 2500 people per club in the silver membership= 250,000,000

it is possible to have about 25,000 people per club in the bronze membership=250,000,000

then the green members could be about 100,000, = 500,000,000

this number above represents less than 10% of the lowest populated state.

given into account the possibility above a club can make up to about N1.25Billion; also considering the possibility that membership will be renewed yearly and member will be expected to pay a reduced some yearly to reinstate their commitment and support for the growth of the club;

The yearly payment by club members should be as follow:

Gold = 20,000 multiply by a possible 50 members

Silver = 5000 multiply by a possible 2500 members

Bronze = 2500 multiply by a possible 25000 members

Green = 1,500 multiply by a possible 100000 members

annual membership renewal today for most clubs by this possibility could be more than 200million; considering the possibility also that some state like lagos has the capacity and population to surpass the number, then it is so possible for clubs in nigeria to survive without funding from the state.

But we actually the need the government support to organize and make this work

You came to this world without a shirt am sure you must have copied someone; we have our traditional wears, but check ur wardrope you have more tommy's, ralph etc; if you were born in the 80s you can tell me you created the type of cloth you wear today becos you copied from the America and european fashion people. - the idea nairaland came from somewhere, it could have been seunland, but it is allowed just spice it up a bit and that i think dbanj is doing, or are you afraid of saying the truth so that you will be following the trend of those of them who think otherwise or are you afraid of been blasted those we think with something else; the guy is doing a good job and I will be the last to condenm his effort. SOLUTION TO THE NIGERIA LEAGUE

Here is a simple plan to change the phase of our league and let it grow naturely all by itself;

Every club in the National and Premiership whether government or privately owned must find a way bringing together about 20 enterprenuer with good understanding in sports business that will also be ready to undergo regular refresher course to understand the modern way of sports business. these 20 business guru will form the first set of a truly independent board of the club. I suggest that at least 5 member of the 20man board should be an indegine while the rest could be from any part of the world.

Each member should be worth more than 20million naira and be ready pay the sum of 5million as their contribution a board member and as part of 1.5% ownership of the club (with the opportunity to buy more in the future but not more than 20%). Gold members (limited to 20)

Each of the 20man board is expected to use their vast business strenght to bring in another 50 business minded personal who is expected to pay the sum of 100,000 naira (they will be called the silver members; the number of silver member coming through each of the gold member must be 50 or more depending on the gold member ability. Every silver member must become member only through any of the gold members; so so the gold member must ensure that such person is not one with questionable character.

The Silver member is expected to invite at least 100 new member to be called the Bronze member who are expected to pay the sum of 10,000 naira each. the number of Bronze member coming through the Silver member excede 100 depending on the ability of the Silver member to convince his friend and relation and must ensure that such person is not one with questionable character.

SOLUTION TO THE NIGERIA LEAGUE

Here is a simple plan to change the phase of our league and let it grow naturely all by itself;

The Bronze member is expected to invite at least 50 new member to be called the Green Member that is expected to pay the sum 5,000 naira each. the number of Green Member coming the the Bronze Member must be at least 50 or more depending on the ability of the Bronze member to convince his friend and relation and must ensure that such person is not one with question character.

Wunmi now tell me just becos some people think the show is nonsense; shouldn't the organiser be given the benefit of the doubt to proove them wrong? I saw your pix and I think you deserve a shot on the show, but truly if a lady like you take part and win, will it mean that you will sleep with Dbanj - NO! so its only a lady who want to sleep that will surely do so

if you are talking about Daarsat, then I will take the risk, but if you are talking about HITV then I know what am talking about I am close to the inside, they will surpass the expectation of those who think they can't; the owners listen unlike their Daarsat counterpart who in my opinion is whatever the boss says is ok by me

DaarSat! after u-17 world cup in naija what next; I can beat my chest to say they don't have up to 1000 subscribers, but in all sincerity I will get DaarSat only for the sake of u-17 and the world cup in SA 2010 since I will get an HD LCD soon, but my only worry is that to me the equipment could be useless after the two tournament, they should think of reducing the subscription to say 1000 naira so that they can work on the popularity of the network, but I will never trade my HITV for any network, but I expect Hitv to get more equipment and also build state of the art studios and improve their graphics we have people who can

we can surpass the good old days because if yoou consider the way people are trooping to viewing center to watch football it is a confirmation that our people love sport and if our administrators can see the opportunity and take advantage of it; all they need is 1 million local league crazy fan base to drive the consciousness and in less than two years everything will change, we can create a unique time like between 6 and 8pm so as not to clash with the foreign league during live matches

I know HITV will improve becos they have started adding quality channels like BET and Aljazeera, I see them doing more gradually; in my opinion the only expect for HITV is an action movie channel, one or two more documentary channels I will be ok any other thing will be the improvement of channels like Amuludun, Hi Life, Biscon; no disrespect to DSTV the number of channels they have makes it difficult for them to cut cost and it will even be worst now that they have lost UCL in naija; for Daarsat my advise will be for them to talk to HITV so as to join forces; pls the owners of DAARSAT should try and reachout
TV/MoviesRe: HiTV Subscribers Question And Answer Forum by luckiest: 8:13am On May 17, 2009
what improvement do you wish to see in HITV generally speaking

for me I hope to see the addition of an act movie channel, 2 documentary channels, 1 or 2 reality tv channel, i need to see improvement on the ELP coverage studio (am not saying the current one is not good) but there is room to make it even the best (see Al Jazeera news room); the graphics used during live program must be improved becos I believe there are better graphics specialist in this country, pls HITV it is necessary especially during half time and after the match analysis.

Amuludun, Hi Life and Biscon are good concept but they need serious improvement; the pics quality, audio and current movies (at least 3 months); i also hope to see HITV NEWS Channel that will cover the entire nation with news we don't get to see on NTA or AIT

Yes, he is smart alright. that's why he wants ladies to pay him 5k to enjoy them grin
as big as you are you kai you surprise me; since D came to limelight I don't remember any scandal link with him, correct me if am wrong apart from all those things he says while singing; even the word koko was actually suppose to mean "the main word" but like every othe innovative people he realised he could use it to his favour and it worked, as an artist you must rebrand regularly in order to remain relevant; there is nothing wrong if the guy sleeps with the girl provided she wasn't not raped; if the lady want it and the guy also want it, then why should we stop them, sex is suppose to be mutual, while rape is the other way round

she is gay!!!!!
to catch a monkey you must act like one; I suspect this guy is gay, becos the way and manner he goes about it is like someone with a strong source; you must know Asa and MC mama very well; I think you are of the same club and you must have seen their names in your club register
