Hello house and
@ jesusdway,

I would like to know some things about the FDSW process.

i am about to apply for the IETSL this month

- i saw a comment about school sending transcript to WES.
Right now i have my transcript wih me ( i applied to collect it recently) and also WES verifying it came from my school, can i still request for transcript from my school again to be sent to WES?

- i am yet to be married to my fiancee, but i would be considering that next year. Will she also take IETSL and also apply for all the steps which i am to apply for?

Thanks

Hello Lucky12g

Its nice that you've been doing a little bit of research, but you should keep reading this thread, u can start from part5. From the looks of things you have very little idea of the entire process, so my advice is don't be in a hurry to apply, take your time to study and understand the process, so the moment you try, you'll get it.

If your intention is to remain in canada after your sudies, I'd advice you take a 2year prog, instead of 1year.

Unfortunately I have no idea what sheridan college is like.

For the visa application process, the 2.5m is a little low, you might need a sponsor/co sponsor.
However the case may be you'll need to read the thread more for better understanding.

@ tnuola, thanks for your response,
I have been a regular reader on this trend which has made me to be patient up to this time to make a decision. From your response, how much do you think i need more from my sponsor to support me ?
Of course i want to stay for a very long time.

From my research, i learnt that most Canadian animation companies will not hire international graduates directly from school because they get tax credits for hiring Canadians .In other words, it costs them more to hire an international graduates, so you would have to be really extraordinary and/or able to do something for them that they can't find a Canadian to do, to be hired before you have resident status.

If you go to a public college, the post grad work permit means once you graduate you can apply for a work permit that allows you to take any job while you wait to get resident status, at which time , when one apply for jobs, the company that hires you will be eligible for the tax credits.

Which means after i graduate, i intend to apply for a work permit that allows me to take any job while i wait to get resident status

How much do you think i need more from my sponsor to support me ?
Sheridan college is in Oakville, Ontario. Do you know the standard of living there?

Hello house i need a little help on this,

I am single , i live and work in abuja, and i earn a little above 200
I work in the IT and creative section but i feel i need to expand my experience and get more exposure outside of the country .
I applied to a school in Canada and i was given an offer , but i learnt that they are a private school so i rejected because I read online that i would not be given a work permit after school except i apply again for a year at a public school after i graduate.

I want to learn character animation in any school at Canada, though I have a very strong portfolio in animation which am hoping to get a job around that area in Canada
I want to apply again to Sheridan college for one year program ,hoping to get a job after then that will make me stay and live comfortably in canada

Here is my question house,

What do you know about the school, the location and accommodation around the school.

I am sponsoring myself for the fees .

I have about 2.5M in total, the school is around 12,000CAD
Will I get a job in my field to sustain me for my living expenses?

I would really appreciate your suggestion.

I have been reading on this thread about people getting stranded and doing bad jobs at Canada, I don't want to be part of them.

Hello ,
Please i need your advice on this: I am single , i live and work here in abuja, and i earn a salary of 230k per month .I work in the IT section but i feel i need to expand my experience and get more exposure outside of the country . I applied to a school in Canada , so i learn more in what i do and get exposure which has always been my goal . But the tuition is CRAZY , around 13,000 CAD for one year and its a 3 year course but i will have to pay for the first year before the session begins, then i can pay the remaining separately before each session starts.

Here is my biggest concern , i currently have the tuition for the first year, and my living expenses, but am scared of the unknown if i would get a job over there that would sustain me in paying the remaining sessions while i still school. Though i learnt about Canada giving work permit for students that already have study permit .

Or probably i should just forget about expanding my experience and the exposure .

Please Help out.
