mexzony: It's the new laws. Allow the play to go on and see what unfolds. It seems weird cos players burn unneeded energy. It's justified, in case there's a goal. VAR might check and see there was no offside. But if the flag is raised early, when there's a genuine goalscoring opportunity and video replays show it was a wrong call, it will hurt too much. The new system absolutely makes sense, bar "wasted energy". |

Dannyozs: nope I don't think so but the scene has already been hit up by both Coaches, its good they understand the ref is supposed to be the authority. They have violently criticized almost every call against them. It shows a lack of respect esp since ref has warned them on several occasions.
Also have you heard anything whatsoever from the Cameroonian Coach? I get it |

Not like as if the ref has been impartial nor has he not warned the Coach more than once Was the yellow card to one of the assistants few minutes after that of the coach really necessary? |

You are judging them based on your opinion of what you think things are?
They all wouldn't attend this tournament if they didn't consider themselves Africans! MENA means Middle East and North Africa. Why not name it "Arab Nations"? |

tonididdy: True black continent? Is this a racist rant because the Egyptians are white skinned and you do not consider them true Africans?
How shallow... So the Nigerian GK is not true Nigerian? Before you get all emotional, the North Africans indeed consider themselves more superior to black skin Africa. They prefer to relate more with the middle East than with Africa, in my honest assessment. That's why there's MENA, not forgetting they only just recently participated in an Arab world football tourney. |

Starting to seem like one of the strategies of these North Africans is to stay on the ground, to try and slow down the tempo of the game and demoralise the Cameroonians. |

Theunbothered: You can and they won't kill you unlike the "peaceful" Muslims.
Here is a man protesting in the Vatican.
If Muslims can't tolerate different opinions Muslims are the problem. This is being clever by half. Someone comes to advertise his faith - which is "No God". Meanwhile the other one, in a clear post that was even shared here was insulting another person's faith, by maligning the personality of the man they hold dearly, as a symbol of their faith. Where's the correlation? I thought you will show me a banner saying "Virgin Mary is a prostitute" or something of such. |

Your boko haram example is nonsensical apples and oranges comparisons. The person saying it only goes to jail if its a direct call to arms, saying your religion is fake isn't that. On facebook...it's not like the guy went and forced people at gunpoint to renounce their religion.
Seriously, when Muslims , and no I am not here to attack Islam, start responding violently to all sorts of provocations, it plays into the hands of your enemies who wish to portray you as anarchic violent people. There is a time to simply ignore people.
He wasn't in the Army, plus you can leave the army, there are legal ways of doing so...plus some ex soldiers do diss the army...once gone. as is their right. I think the debate is on the government handling the trouble monger in a manner deserving. We've seen schools suspend or rusticate students inciting trouble. The government had the mandate to maintain order in the society as they deem fit. If he left the faith and maintained it at that, I'm not sure anyone will jail him. He had a mission to incite trouble and he has been appropriately handled. If it was reversed and a Muslim was arrested for trying to cause problems in a Christian dominated community, I will support such arrest similarly. It's a world of "live and let live" |

backbencher: You have a point, but at the end of the day, proclaiming that one has left his religion for atheism, should not be the opportunity for violent acts against others.
He says he is an atheist. So what.? Ignore him, and let him go his way. He did not force his atheisim on others. If he stopped at declaring his new found belief only, it would have been fine. He kept on attacking other people's faith. That's an invitation to anarchy. The military doesn't tolerate you leaving, talk more of turning around to start bashing the institution. That's discipline. |

Blue3k: Man these religious zealots are something else. Everything he did falls under free speech unless everyone should be compelled to believe in their tales. This case will go to the Supreme Court since neither party can accept defeat. Hopefully Bala wins.
Anyway Can a lawyer explain what legal standing does kano state have to prosecute Bala for a crime that occurred in Kaduna? Even of the complaint originated it kano it should be left to Kaduna to prosecute. Nigeria's lawyers aren't worth their salt if they miss this easy goal. The government has the right to curb actions that are liable to cause public disturbance. If someone comes out to start making posts about how Boko Haram should spread to other regions, he should be left alone, because of "human rights"?! |
