The LP logo stands out and is easily identifiable. PO made sure of that. Why do you think, of the leading candidates, only Peter Obi goes around with the logo inscribed on the clothes he wears? E get why. |
I have lived in Lagos all my life. Was born here. Tinubu left Oshodi the same way he met it. Molue buses were still on the roads after Tinubu. The sanitization of Lagos (in practical terms, not by claiming ownership of a blueprint) began with Fashola and continued under Ambode. Fashola started the BRT lanes and buses while major cleanup of Oshodi was done under Ambode. |
You may want to add the poll below your collection: https://www.kwakol.com/blog/kwakol-research-forecasts-the-2023-nigeria-presidential-election |
FromZeroToHero:Precisely. Just like saying Osinbajo was once a president of Nigeria because he acted in that capacity when Buhari was away. |
Well, it is definitely not on the achievements of the current administration. I think the focus is on the achievements of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. The challenge here for me is that they do not focus strictly on his achievements but on those of his successors and give him undue credit for them. |
Edo no be Lagos. APC WILL NEVER WIN EDO STATE. |
I and mine are ready for the elections.
|
Lagos voter Presidential - LP Gubernatorial - LP or APC (Largely undecided) Others - PDP |
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has endorsed the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi as his preferred contestant for the 2023 general elections.
|
Same reason PDP is misinforming people that Peter Obi is Atiku's ally. Hopefully PO will emerge victorious. |
Oga check your results again. If Jonathan had gotten zero votes in all of North-East and North-West he would have scored 17,316,841 in the elections and would have gotten at least 25% in 23 states plus Abuja to make it 24. Which effectively would have still made him the winner. This shows that Jonathan in 2011 would have won without votes from North-East and North-West. The votes he got from those two geo-political zones were actually not relevant to him winning the 2011 election. |
Correct. Thisday newspaper also made a similar analysis in 2019 to favour Atiku but turned out to be inaccurate. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sunnewsonline.com/2019-poll-thisdays-survey-showing-atiku-leading-buhari/%3famp |
It would be best if you worried more about convincing Nigerians about your candidate. PO is busy winning new converts and you guys are getting all worked up. It started with '4 people twitting in a room', to 'his supporters are purely online', to 'he will not win more than 4 states', to hoping that the turnout is low in the South-East. It is actually a pity. Reality will soon dawn. I was undecided for some time but now I am more than convinced that PO means well for Nigeria. My vote is for him, so help me God. |
I think successive governments have failed the country, more so this current government, but this short term plan to protect people is a welcome development in my view. No resource is too much for a government to deploy to ensure the safety of its citizens. I am very sure if this same act was done 'in the abroad' the same people condemning it would be full of praises. We talk about adopting 'simple technologies to take care of this but fail to realize that the so-called simple technology may not be readily available. In the interim, whatever works is a welcome development. The government, in the meantime, needs to improve on the current effort and address some of the criticism against this effort e.g. the fact that the chopper alone may not be an effective way to secure the trains. Again, I commend the government for at least doing something. Better than seating on its hands and doing absolutely nothing. |
Realguyman1:The areas in bold fonts: I completely agree with. The other areas, well not so much. I may not represent Nigeria as the president does, but it does not mean that I do not represent the country in my sphere of influence. What I decide to do at that level is totally up to me. I only hope and pray that I choose to do what would uplift the country. Not because I am better than anyone else but because it is the right thing to do. Thinking critically about it, I apologize for calling out those students (if there was any Nigerian in that class). It requires courage and the right atmosphere to do what I suggested, though I still think the faculty is an idiot. He should bother more about their own problems. I hear they are currently battling the crisis caused by the Russia-Ukraine war. That should be enough to keep his nose in European affairs. To some of the more personal areas of your post. You only know your story. I have suffered as much as any Nigerian. To the extent of losing a relative to Bokoharam. Despite the pains I feel, I know for certain that it does not make trashing the country right. |
