Travel / Canada Immigration Express Entry by lumideezle(m): 11:27am On Jul 17, 2015 |
Hello Guys, So i am currently in the process of getting into the express entry Pool. Just Booked my IELTS exams , and sent my credentials for Assessment ECA. I would like people who have applied in the past or who have experience to comment. Also New applicants with questions are welcome. Meanwhile here is a step By step process to apply into the express entry pool It's all on the CIC site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp (Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program) 1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp 2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language. How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp 3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp 4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC. 5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points. 6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following: a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count. f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

smartg: Scientists have finally done it again. In their quest on how to reduce the world population, they invents all kinds of diseases. They invented HIV, but were not happy when they saw that Hiv does not kill faster as expected; that is, an HIV patient can survive for more than 20yrs. They went on to invent SARS, but sars was more deadly than Hiv, it kills faster, but could not spread wider because the victims does not last long before they die. Now they have come up with their latest invention 'EBOLA VIRUS' which means the combination of SARS and HIV. The virus last longer and kills faster and spread wider even after the death of the victims. What a deadly disease, it can be transmitted through a physical contact even a hand shake or by touching the walls of building. Dumb fVck!! Everything must have a religious edge to it in Naija lool 2 Likes |

Wow I am totally Amazed at the amount of people supporting the cashier to rob their employer. I mean I understand say Naija hard o but u can actually make it without stealing. if u are doing thiswhat makes u different from the Armed robber on the streets that we are all so quick to Judge. And its theses same people would complain that things aren't working in Nigeria. A south African company comes to help us revamp our shopping and our Plp wanna run them out of biz how do u expect to draw the attention of other well meaning investors to the country ? Neways OP I salute you for exposing this, I would advice anyone that if this happens to you kindly ensure that u report such a cashier to the manager. Have we even thought of the fact that, that missen item would be deducted from the store keepers pay ? And he or she might have a family to feed o . 4 Likes |

Lilimax: Just to satisfy my curiosity; what is the essence of of the autopsy since An autopsy is the external and internal examination of a body after death using surgical techniques, microscopy, laboratory analysis and medical records -- the ultimate quality assessment tool in understanding the exact cause an CIRCUMSTANCES of a death.we know the cause now we want to know the circumstances. Since the police claim he was fleeing God help them if they find out the bullet was shot @ close range. Also the angle and depth of the bullet penetration matters. 1 Like |

gbanikiti: Kudos to Oshio baba for looking into the case. No peace for the wicked! This mentality is the prob Nigerians have, what are u kudos(ing)him 4? it is Oshoz Job to ensure that peace and justice remains in his state. He swore an Oath to protect the lives and property of every1 in his state so my dear he is just doing his job noo need 2 make too much noise about it. If you are a messenger in your office and your boss sends you on an errand does he tell you thank you, r u supposed to feel entitled to his thank you?? For crying out loud Nigerians need to understand that when we elect people into office we are giving them a job to do a job for which the are hansomely rewarded so we should hold them responsible to deliver. Nepa brings light you shout "Up nepa" and I wonder what is up about them, is it their job to bring and take the power? Fashola builds bridge we no go hear word again I mean if he dosent do these things what exactly did you people elect him for? To steal your money?? Nigerians please change your mentality. playcharles: Pls don't judge the police too quickly, we all know how stubborn some UNIBEN student can be, let those in authority investigateYou talk like an illitrate,so because students are stubborn it is ok to shoot and kill them?? You can as well get a gun and shoot your kids whenever they act stubborn. There is something called the rules of engagement in the police force, you are not allowed to engage a"criminal" in a gun battle unless you can prove that the other person possed significant danger to your life and you had no other choice than to shoot the person. This is the reason y d police should chase a fleeing criminal sofar he/she is not armed meaning he dosent pose a threat to u as a police officer. 3 Likes |

This country is filled with toothless bull Dogs and 2 make matters worse they are unsincere and 100% not comiitted to their jobs. What is the point coming public with your fidings thus alerting the Criminals to be more careful and change their modus operandi. Wouldn't it have been beta to bait a few of them, catch them red handed and make it a big press issue to teach others a lesson ?? Smh useless country, useless leaders, I pity any1 who still believes that the leaders in dis country have his/ her intrest @ heart. All they are fighting 4 is their pockets. When we hear a govornor looses his life now the same Nigerians would gatter and mourn, instead of us 2 thank God 4 taking the wicked from amongs us. I call dem wicked because I don't see what is wrong in allowing the nations wealth trickle to the least person its not like there is not enough, there is enough for everyone to have a piece . |
