Norbert Owona, former captain of the indomitable lions of Cameroon who lost everything he had in life, lost his family in an accident, became sick and homeless. After asking the government of Cameroon for help to no avail, Cameroon football Legend, Samuel Eto'o paid him a visit , gave him 500,000FCFA for feeding and promised to give him a brand new house.

Owona Nobert said

"Last Sunday, I had the surprise of my life. Samuel Eto'o came to visit me. After his first match in Qatar, he took a flight to come to my sick bed side. A great man who had never known me. He gave me the sum of 500 000FCFA for feeding, and promised to assist me in everything I need.. He promised me a house which we were going to see in Bonamoussadi".

An unidentified lady was found dead on Monday afternoon in a River Osun at Oke Osun Area along Ado-Akure road in Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti State

At the time the 9japosh Media crew got to the scene of this incident, it has causes a gridlock along the busy Akure-Ado road as motorist and passerby could not seize express sad moments has the body floated on the river.

Ambulance from state hospital has moved the body from the scene and the police hope to investigate the issue later

A Togolese lady on Twitter has thrown a subtle shade on Nigeria by mocking the absence of President Buhari by asking the most ridiculous questions of the year. See below;

MTN’s night data plan has been one of the best offers MTN can give to their subscribers since all their data plans seems to expensive for that amount of data. The night plan is only accessible by MTN customers under the Pulse tariff plan, though.

What was 250MB for N25 and 500MB for N50 before, has just been changed to 125MB for N25 and 250MB for N50. We don’t fully know if they are trying to let go of some customers or it’s just a minor change. But truth be told, it will affect their customers diversly.

MTN is sending out text messages to most of their subscribers. This message entails;

Y’ello! when you buy the Pulse Night plan at N25 from 16/08/2018, you now get 125MB. You also get 250MB for N50 and can make multiple purchases. Dial *406# to buy.

From the message we can tell that this takes effect today being the 16th of August, 2018. The method that you use to activate the data is still the same as before. It is valid from 12AM – 4AM.

Nigeria’s first indigenous telecommunications network, Globacom, on Wednesday introduced 125 per cent free data for all subscribers to mark its 15th anniversary.

 Unveiling the product, named ‘Ogasim’, Glo Regional Chief Marketing Officer, Ashok Isran, said customers would be getting 125 per cent free data for every subscription for the next four months.

 “It is the master of all Sims in the country today.

 “The value to be delivered and derived from Ogasim could either be gifted or shared as deemed fit by the subscriber, so it is very flexible product.

According to him, Globacom is the only operator with a submarine cable global which links Europe and America, delivering much faster connectivity services to its various telecoms customers.

Glo Head of Prepaid Activation, Ekene Okonkwo, said that what was most important to the customers was data, adding that the bonus was also applicable to old Sims.

 “If you are already in the network and not using data, now is the time; all you need to do is dial *777# to activate.

 “For every #500 you get 1.8 GB, #1000 you get 3.6 GB data and so on.

 “This is done to empower Nigerians who are craving to be connected,” Okonkwo said.

THOSE WHO STOLE OUR MANDATE WON’T ENJOY THE BENEFITS FOR LONG

Today, I formally filed the much expected petition against the results of the July 14, 2018 governorship election, which was openly manipulated by political desperadoes, using instruments of the federal government.

Like I have maintained, I am challenging the election results not out of desperation to be governor, but for reasons of future and posterity, and largely on behalf of the people of Ekiti, who were taken aback by the outcome of the election.

Without doubt, the will of the people was subverted by those who have chosen to take Nigeria back to the dark days of ballot stuffing, ballot boxes snatching and outright falsification of election results and I believe they deserve to get justice.

As law abiding citizens of our country, the only path of honour to take in a situation like this is the process that we have initiated today, to seek redress against the use of security forces and other instruments of the federal government to suppress the will of our people.

Sadly, the desperation of the APC to take over all States in the country, especially those under governors like Dr. Ayodele Fayose perceived as uncompromising has destroyed all the gains made by the PDP government regarding free, fair and credible elections.

The mood of Ekiti people when the beneficiary of the electoral robbery was declared winner and up till today is a pointer to the resolve of the people not to accept the subversion of their will and we have answered their calls to use the judiciary to get back their mandate.

In doing this, we have presented overwhelming discrepancies in the results declared by INEC to the tribunal to adjudicate upon and I am confident that the popular mandate of the people of Ekiti will not go unrestored.
I therefore want Ekiti people to keep hope alive, remain strong and resolute in their belief in God.

While we go through this judicial walk to exposing the electoral thievery of July 14, 2018, we urge the good people of Ekiti State, especially my teeming supporters to remain calm, peaceful and prayerful, bearing in mind that those who stole their mandate will not enjoy the benefits for long.

I also want to use this opportunity to condemn the indefinite closure of the State Radio and Television stations. No doubt, the closure of the radio and television stations was part of the grand plan to sustain the inglorious use of naked force to rob Ekiti people of their democratic rights, but the people will triumph ultimately.
