These are the faces of the six members of a suspected money laundering syndicate that were arrested yesterday at the Excel Oriental Hotel, along Airport Road in Lagos by officials of the NDLEA for swallowing US$156,000 which is about N32 million.
The syndicate specializes in swallowing dollars in a bid to by-pass anti-money laundering operatives at the airport. The men identified as Kingsley Nwokenta, a bureau de change operator also known as Buchito; Augustine Onwuasoanya, 54, and Christian Okoli, 35, both based in Brazil; Uzoma Ezenwa, 33, a hotel manager; Ikenna Ezenwa; and Emmanuel Nwokenta. Sometimes I wonder d kind of doctors we have here in naija..most of dem r so heartless n wicked. Even when dey see d person at d point of death,dey will still demand 4 deposit,police report,id card et al.

Since my last encounter with Nigerian doctor at the general hospital, I've been asking God never to let any of my family to be sick to the extent of referring them to general hospital, especially the ones in Lagos. What exactly are the issues you have with them? Does it have to do with a service failure, or termination of employment?

If it has to do with service failure on your network, then please file a complaint with NCC (Nigerian Communications Commission) which is the regulatory body of the telecoms industry. If there is merit in your complaint, they can wade into the issue to either mediate or sanction the telco.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Consumer Protection Council (CPC). They can also intervene on your behalf.

If your grouse with them has to do with termination of employment, then please look for a lawyer versed in labour laws who can advise you appropriately. If your firm has a staff union or association, then they can take up the case on your behalf.

Anyway, please remember that lawyers have different areas of expertise. You have the good, the bad and the downright ugly, too. Do your search and check their reputation, before engaging one. Also, ask around for the chambers of those advocates that have taken silk (i.e. Senior Advocates of Nigeria: SAN)
