My aim of creating this thread is to give room for people who are facing hardship in thier community to analyse the kind of problem they ar facing and for such an issue to be discussed extensively in other to have a way out. I believe so much in action, lets start in our own little way and draw the attention of government to the plight of the people. My idea:if we have a pressman on this forum,he should be able to analyse how we can have a column in one of the newspaper with the help of the forum owner,ITS POSSIBLE. Like the issue of a community with power outage for about six months, all I expect nairalanders to do is to give suggestions on the neccessary steps to be taken and how such a community can bring the issue to the notice of the governor cos I think hes the only fair man in the state right now. |
When will dis end,its really biting hard |
For the Lagosians did u notice the queue in filling stations yesterday. Whats causing the artificial fuel scarcity again,is it the tanker drivers this time. |
One thing about websites is easy accesibility. Once its loaded with graphics if ure using internet connection with low speed u wont enjoy it. Nairaland is unik the way it is. I can access it easily with my phone under 5 sec. Forget about redesigning the front page, That stuff even looks so childish, great discussion forum website are just as simple as nairaland. Remember its more easy to load text than graphics on any browser. |

Should we all go on decieving ourselves and pretend as if all is well. Im sure Mr. olusuyi is trying to go against their corrupt attitude on a certain issue dats why they hit him with a plank on the head. |
PHCN Workers Beat Colleague To Death, 8 Arrested The Police yesterday, stormed the office of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) in Ejigbo, a suburb of Lagos, and arrested eight workers of the company for allegedly beating their colleague, Mr. Stephen Olusuyi Akeju, to death. The victim, a 37-year old father of one and an accountancy graduate of the University of Lagos, was a senior staff of PHCN. Sources said that a minor incident between Olusuyi and his eight colleagues led to an argument which snowballed into a brawl. It was during the fight that the victim was hit several times on the head with a plank. Police said that the victim was injured in the process and died on his way to the Police Station to report the matter. The State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Mr. Frank Mba, confirmed the story last night story. Mba said: “It is a true story. Some staff of PHCN fought and in the process, one of them was injured. He was on his way to the police station to report the matter when he slumped and died. The case is being investigated.” Sources said that after the victim died, his colleagues tried to make it look as if it was an accident. But this was discovered by men of the Ejigbo Police Station. An indigene of Ikaram, Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, Olusuyi, was a member of the Deeper Christian Life Bible Church in Oke-Afa, Isolo, Lagos. Those who knew him before his death at Jakande Estate, Oke-Afa, Isolo, where he lived for several years, described the victim as a loving father who cared so much about the less privileged. “He loved praying and singing. He always gave praises to God,” one of his relations told our correspondent, last night in Lagos. The relation added that the victim was disliked by some of his colleagues because he did not like dishonest power supply to practices such as collecting bribes in order not to disconnect indebted users. The corpse of the victim has been deposited at the Eko Hospital mortuary. At the time of filing this report, the arrested PHCN workers were still being detained at the Ejigbo Police Station. |
I learnt they payed 2.7 million naira b4 their tankers were released , If they actually payed that amount they wouldnt have blocked that same road as they did ealier. something is wrong somewhere |
The tanker drivers suspended their strike yesterday. Honestly speaking their is something unusual about the tanker drivers. This morning again they've blocked the the service lane along apapa-oshodi express road oposite Toyota bus stop. Something is wrong with them, they need to visit psychiatric hospital. ![]() |

Three patients in a mental institution prepare for an examination given by the head psychiatrist. If the patients pass the exam, they will be free to leave the hospital. However, If they fail, the institution will detain them for seven years. The doctor takes the three patients to the top of a diving board overlooking an empty swimming pool, and asks the first patient to jump. The first patient jumps head first into the pool and breaks both arms. Then the second patient jumps and breaks both legs. The third patient looks over the side and refuses to jump. "Congratulations! You're a free man. Just tell me why didn't you jump?" asked the doctor. To which the third patient answered, "Well Doc, I can't swim!" |
Asked if the rapist used condom, Grace shook her head and said: “He didn’t use condom. When I asked him to use condom because I had some packs in the room, he slapped me across the face and I almost fainted. He was smelling alcohol. Although I am a hustler (prostitute), I have never seen anything like that in my life. The man was an animal. He was raping me and cursing me at the same time. His manhood is like that of a horse, it was almost coming out of my mouth. I vomitted later. He bruised me all over.” ![]() |
This is another season of fuel scarcity. The tanker drivers decide to punish the whole lagosian because of the feud they have with LASMA on Friday. How long with this last? Whats your own experience, |
