Because I authenticated all my documents before I send it and even got temporary residence permit inside Croatia to back it up

Reason1: there are reasonable doubts as to the realibilty of the statement made and or the credibility of the supporting documents and their content

I went to VFS global portal to make enquires on which documents to be submitted and book an appointment with them again 29th of May 2024


Documents submitted on the appointment day

International passport
Filled Application form for a long type D visa
Insurance
Print out of the temporary residence
Flight ticket
Hotel reservation
Visa fee of about $149 with delivery fee of 4500naira

On the 23 of May 2024 I got a mail that my Temporary residence have be approved

23 February, My PCC and Croatia authentication was sent from South Africa

And I applied for Croatia Temporary residence permit that very day

20th of February, I bought my one year travel insurance from AXA insurance @Maybe 40k or so. Can't remember unless I check the document

Precisely February 16 I send my documents to South Africa for authentication at the Croatia Embassy


Documents: Police Clearance certificate and booked Croatia Address

Actually I used a third party to help me but he carried me along with everything he was doing


The first thing he requested for was Police Clearance certificate!!!

I search online for how to get PCC, on the second day I reach out to a police officer in alagbon Lagos

He asked me to pay 50k after much bargain we concluded on 45k because I wasn't ready to go to Lagos for fingerprint. I sent the money to him and in less than five hours the PCC was sent to my mail.

Hi there, I hope you are fine. Receiving that email from the Embassy implies that you may not had applied for residence permit prior to submitting your Long Stay Visa Application.

But I don't think that is a problem because by asking you to make that payment, it is already a positive response to the fact that your residence permit will be granted.

I have not heard anything from them, I even sent them an email last week Thursday and no response yet. It was very strange because during the time I was looking for which Croatian embassy to legalize my police character, I emailed them few times and they usually reply within few hours.

So I’m wondering maybe they didn’t see my email and I’m thinking of resending but I’m not sure that will be a good idea because all these embassies sometimes have skoi skoi..
