Hello good day, I have been battling with my Honda city 2007 gearbox, I was advised to convert it from automatic gearbox to manual gearbox, they said that a manual gearbox won’t stress me at all, is it advisable to convert it?

I have my check engine light on since i brought it and a tapping sound which my mechanic said they are not serious issues,

I noticed this morning that my check engine light kept blinking non stop, its was stable before but now its always blinking, my mechanic said its not issue but im scaried cos what i read about check engine light is scary

Bro u bleeped up by getting another gear. Id rathwr get a gear directly from abroad than going to ladipo. Nigerians are cursed. They know the gear is bad ,they know the engine is bad, them go use acid wash am make e be like brand new,then claim its direct toks.meanwhile na scrap wey don condem.

I bought the car recently (first car) only to discover that there was no power steering pump on it. So I decided to buy and fix it.
before installing the pump, I discover that the vehicle (not the steering) veers to the left when I accelerate and to the right when I decelerate on the express. But if the road is rough, it goes zig zag depending on the condition of the road. I have to be very slow and not go too close to oncoming vehicles. It also. I changed one of the brake disc that was thin on the advise of the mechanic. all these before installing a power steering pump on it.
When the pump was installed, during bleeding, the steering was turning on its own (I don't know if this is normal).
The noise (whining continues even after turning it from side to side several time. the belt was stuck and started smoking. Another belt was fixed and immediately started sliding and failed again. The mechanic said it's the steering rack or pinion. Later he said it might be alignment or something else. I kept buying things I'm not sure are bad.

I don’t know anything about Peugeot (i dislike it), pls kindly seek assistance from a competent technician on how to fix this problem.

But judging from my experience with other brands, fuel pressure, misfires, blocked catalytic converter, failing transmission etc can cause this issue.

Good day everyone. I have an issue here. My mechanic used the wrong oil 20w-50 for my Toyota avalon, instead of 5w-30 required. This happened last week, is it advisable to change the oil again this week to 5w-30 required. Thanks.

What causes noise from the power steering pump? I installed another one thinking the pump is faulty but the noise started as soon as I put oil in the new one.
I have noticed that when I I accelerate, the vehicle veers to one side and to the other side during deceleration.

Greetings dear Nairalanders,

I drive a Toyota Camry 07. About 6months ago my AC compressor got bad and was replaced with one that had to carry some connections with a certain unit from the follow come compressor.
Now the compressor doesn't function well when parked and also my engine vibrates slightly when the AC is on.
I met another technician who said I need to replace the compressor with a certain one he says is more suitable for my car.
Now I'm scared of uncertainties.
Should I go ahead with the replacement as advised again?
Also isn't the follow come compressor available in the market? If available, how much for tokumbo and how much for brand new?

Good evening bosses..My Toyota Camry 2006 big daddy keeps shorting oil..I use Mobil super 2000 5w-30 which is the recommended oil but I still experience oil shortage after 5 liters I bought recently. I still bought 1 Litre to top it up…just bought the car from America 4 months ago..pls your suggestions would be highly appreciated

Just changed my Camry 2011 AC Compressor to Tokunbo Manual Compressor , few hours ago.The belt was changed too. But I started noticing funny sounds coming from the AC vent. But the AC is very chilling..

Could this be, that the compressor is not a good one or it was replaced with something different from the initial one, that’s not compatible with the car ?

I hate hearing funny and uncomfortable sounds from my car.. Kindly help out..

yes, the security light goes off with the key inserted and the car get adequate fuel pressure.

I changed to another knock sensors and the engibe light still came on after clearing it.

The thing is, na tokunbo sensors they get here. Is there any way to get new or original tested knock sensors?

1. Repair by welding it and flushing = 3k
2. Buy Belguim = 17k
3. Buy new one = 30k

When I put on my Ac and I'm driving my car feels heavy when I accelerate what could be the cause.

My Honda Accord 07 doesn't revv beyond 3000rpm. Again if I step on the clutch pedal forcefully for fast acceleration, the car will be jerking and when I release my foot, car drives fine if I press pedal gently.

Cars idles fine. No jerking while idle only jerks when I forcefully step hard on the pedal. What could likely be the challenge?

Please I drive a corrola 2005/2006, but it has been giving issue. It usually goes off when I am accelerating and might not start again after sometime. First of all, it will not accelerate and then it will just stop.

Note:
I have changed plugs, serviced noozle and also changed fuel pump.

This problem still remains. All the mechanic I have met do not have solutions to it, and even car electricians too are also confused.

Please help me so that I can use the car without this frustration.

Let me try to explain this issue.

Car drives well.

However, when I apply the break and the gear on DRIVE, rpm goes to 500 while the bonnet vibrates....that is engine vibrations.

If I turtle just a bit let's say rpm increases to 700 vibrations stop and further drive is excellent.

Car idle smoothly in PARK around 700-800 rpm.

Please note that all engine mount are in top shape.

Car is Honda Accord 2007.

My question.

1. Why this vibrations?

2. Rpm is not low on idle ( car in Park)
If rpm is low, can it be adjusted in Honda Accord 2007?

It is a puzzle that has remained unsolved.

I don't think they have anything to do with the vibrations.

P0141 is for downstream oxygen sensor. It's just for Cat monitoring and emissions.

P02185 is for the second ECT sensor at the radiator.

Hello House, I drive a Honda Accord 2007 model with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine...

But recently I have not been enjoying a smooth drive as the gear all of a sudden while in motion stop changing gear until I stop and restart the car

Once I restart the car the whole system reset to normal and it picks and works normal... Everytime the car's gear stop changing I will stop and restart or put it on neutral, off engine and start again

The car can work normally for a month and all of a sudden it will start malfunctioning again for months

My mechanic introduced me to a rewire who changed the turtle mouth, changed the brain box and did other things but still the same issue...

What can you advise... This can be very frustrating

Good morning, Please my Toyota camry works fine when I start the car, if I am in a hold up it jerks before picking up and when am climbing hill, or when the car has worked for a while, looks like it forcing itself to accelerate. What is the likely cause please.

Good morning engineers in the house pls I need you input on this my car issue, the car is Honda Civic 06 (Asia) initially the car jumped timing and eventually 4 valve was bent cos it refused to start and I tried it for 2 days before we discovered it was timing issue. We opened the cylinder head and replaced the bent valve the car stars now but number one cylinder misfires I switched both the coil and spark plug to another cylinder but number one still misfires but it drives fine even with ac on it doesn't stall but while on idle (parked) if I rev it it revs and the rpm goes below 1 and stalls pls what could be the problem and possible solution pls.

Pls help a brother my mechanic said it will normalize it's self and I'm not too cool with that.

I notice that my car is experiencing long cranking whenever I want to start the car to repark in my compound.
It doesn't happen in the morning or even when I close from work. I usually park outside before reparking in my compound. I park outside around 6pm and repark inside my compound around 8pm, In-between these 2 hours I always notice this problem.
My car model is Toyota avensis 2011.
Note: The car doesn't jerk or stall while driving.
What are the possible causes pls?
