Even you are paid for these poata of yours or you are in this government, topics like this should not be handled like this. Government reads too. It is your duty here as a Nigerian and not as their supporter to say how it is in your area, not what people said many months ago. 3 moths ago, it was OK, but for the past 6 weeks, it has been hell inntje cell for everyone in Nigeria and they haven't come out to say anything. So, I don't know where you read or heard anyone saying it is almost perfect in his area. But they asked you about your area. Ate you.saying your area is excellent? Are you saying you are having constant electricity in your area presently?

Make ypu guys dey try use una upstairs small small na. Una wan just kill everyone's morale on top Judas Iscariot's 30 pieces of silver coins you dey receive in thisnmodern period? You aren't betraying your govt if you say the truth about your area this time na. Something like "boss, my area is having issues too presently, and I hope the right person will act fast". Se e no better like this? But you dey suffer in your area and dey lie on too....ypu need real help.

Politics › Re: Tinubu Approves New Army Depot In Abakaliki - COAS by LZAA: 10:17pm On Dec 15, 2025
Putindbutt:
Sometimes I laugh so hard when I hear some ignoramuses say Tinubu is afraid of the North. This is not even about Tinubu vs North but about fairness across the regions and it takes a man who is fearless to achieve all these.
Tinubu brought back CBN's administrative department to Lagos for seamless and much easier financial operations.

Tinubu decentralized Aviation Academy from Kaduna to all the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria.

Tinubu decentralized Army Depot from the North to other parts of the country. Earlier this year, Tinubu ordered the establishment of a new army depot in Oshogbo, now , he has approved another one in Abakaliki.

These moves above are what were ordinarily very tough for past Presidents from the South to do. Not even the mouthy OBJ could decentralize these powerful and influential institutions from the North. But here we are, Tinubu is doing it and spreading these vital institutions across board to reflect equality and fairness.

And he is even making these moves in his first term, not minding his reelection. A scared President would have considered his reelection and would then start to apply the moves in his second term.

A President that has not even addressed Trump or had an audience with the US delegates when they came to Nigeria despite all their huffing and puffing, does such a man look like a joke to you?.

Let me say, I'm very happy Tinubu is the man in power and not GEJ, I want to see how those coalition of failures want to dethrone Jagaban out of power. I only pity wailers and Bitter Obidients who are their delusional supporters, they will suffer HBP by 2027.

Konquest:
I like the positivity in your post.

Babatunde Sanwo-Olu ISN'T even "fretting" over anything. It's the highly irresponsible sensationalism in the newspaper report from ThisDay newspaper and other posters here and online spreading disinformation and ethnic bigotry and hate speech largely targeted by a section of people from the East of Nigeria on YouTube over this matter that's the problem. They are highly ignorant of the FACT that President 'Bola Tinubu's wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu was born by an Itsekiri woman from Warri (she married an Ijebu man from Ogun State), hence Oluremi Tinubu is maternally directly from the Warri area in Delta State. The NPA is under a Yoruba man so what's the targeted hate speech for?

Onne River Port too is currently functioning and people are using it. Yet they keep irresponsibly shouting and spreading propaganda online, "Lagos monopoly, we are in Lagos because of the ports. How many of these economic migrants use the Lagos ports?"

The other River Ports in Calabar, Warri, Koko, Burutu, Onitsha have been functioning in the past BUT have been very expensive to maintain annually due to the millions of Naira needed for the constant dredging or desilting of the rivers along which those River Ports were built.

At the end of the day, shipping experts will tell you that it's the shipping companies that will decide whether to come to a River Ports or NOT because large ships cannot sail into shallow rivers where most of these River Ports are located.

The advantage Lagos is experiencing has to do with being naturally located along the Atlantic Ocean and the West African regional and international business coastline. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with the FACT that Lagos Island (a very tiny part of Lagos State) was the administrative capital of Nigeria from 1914 to 1991.
That fabricated claim by one IRRESPONSIBLE poster on this thread is dishonest! The Lagos-Kano-Jibia trade route is currently the busiest in the whole of Nigeria and MOST of the containers coming into Nigeria are meant for the industries in Lagos, Ogun, Ibadan industrial hubs and the Northern States. Then another set the east of Nigeria.

There's way too many uninformed posters on this website who have NO business being here to mislead others who just want CREDIBLE information.

Same ports that were very active up until the mid 70s

owobokiri:
You South Westerners are a bit myopic on these issues but you don't know.
Most importers that use Lagos ports are from outside Lagos, but they were not complaining that much untikk recently inspite of the added costs that accrued while hauling their cargoes feom Lagos to say the South East or the South South.

If you guys in the South West wanted this advantage you gained after the war to last longer, what you would have done was to make the cost of doing business for these importers to be much lower. That way they won't bother to ask some pertinent questions. But village jealousy and tribal competition set in and you started making them feel uncomfortable using Lagos..
Now they want to leave..

Image the South West political establishment being averse to the rebuilding of the Lagos-Shagamu-Benin- SE/SS Road. This road is by far the most important road to Lagos businesses and ports, as over 65% of containers cleared in Lagos ends up in these areas thereby using these ports..

But lagos came with huge taxes and charges. Fashola and co then refused to do the road thinking they are getting at someone. As a result, the price of hauling these goods through that road quadrupled. Don't forget that a lot of those containers that end up in the SE, will have their goods distributed all the way to the NE. Essentially, your policies are effecting the NE too. .. Under such circumstances, its only a matter of time before something gives..

Once Tinubu leaves, Lagos stranglehold on Nigerias ports activities will be reduced. There seem to be a general consensus on this very issue across board recently. Blame local ronutards and their kiriji politics..
