the forth goal was inevitable, it was just when they would score it. all I want is to wake my neighborhood when we score. they cannot be sleeping while am enduring this.
I had hoped the Moroccan no 9 didn't score us too....chaii. |

Icon79: Barring any unforeseen circumstance, the Group A players are definitely going to Russia:
Group A 1. Victor Moses 2. Obi Mikel 3. Wilfred Ndidi 4. Kelechi Iheanacho (will definitely make the team. Aside from being one of our best strikers, he's also great for team unity) 5. Alex Iwobi 6. Eddy Onazi 7. Leon Balogun 8. Troost Ekong 9. Moses Simon 10. Chidozie Awaziem 11. Shehu Abdullahi 12. Odion Ighalo 13. John Ogu 14. Oghenekaro Etebo (likely to make it because he's a utility player)
Group B - Very likely to make the list - 90% chance 1. Brian Idowu 2. Tyronne Ebuehi 3. Ahmed Musa 5. Kenneth Omeruo 6. Francis Uzoho 7. Mikel Agu 8. Ola Aina 9. Elderson Echiejile (his experience might help him make team, if Aina fails to excel) 10. Joel Obi (most likely to make team if fully fit) 11. Ikechukwu Ezenwa
Group C - still on the outside looking in - less than 50% chance: 1. Anthony Nwakaeme 2. Olarenwaju Kayode 3. Henry Onyekuru 4. Sarenren Bazee 5. Isaac Success (supposed to be in group B but his attitude might cost him) 6. Dele Alampasu 7. Ajiboye (the new CHAN guy. Having seen him play though but I wanna go by all the commentaries here and elsewhere) so u could write without the "o pari" |

Missing that chance in the first half is just enough not to have Rabiu in the first team. It could have made the difference for us.
Ezeonyi proved his mettle in this tournament back in South Africa. that managed to earn him a move away from Rangers back then. Rabiu Ali is just a local league veteran.
I really hope we don't go on another draw spree. its like they eat a lot of okra soup. |

I often think it is psychological or environmental pattern. It tells you alot about their upbringing. Happy new year guys... I forgot to reiterate that am also a neophyte here, though I have made a couple of comments last month..
And I must confess am so glad to be here, to have discovered this thread and to be a part of this family. A proud and patriotic GWG carrier in heart and soul.
I have enjoyed your views, your dyad of thoughts and through this I must confess that I have learnt alot here. I go out and come back and am sure am covered once I open this thread to get my daily legit dose of Nigerian football news.
Following the Eagles team since 98', yea, that makes me a yesterday in matters of the eagles in comparison to many here. And that's the point, why am so proud enriching my knowledge of Nigerian football history leading from you guys.
you guys are all fantastic, and you are doing a great job, and I believe we can certainly do better in helping Nigeria having a great world cup, come June this year.
thank you all and enjoy 2018 with the richness of its grace and prosperity. May this 2018 bring surprises as such that would have us go watch the SE in Russia.
Once again I say thank you and God bless you all. |

Remember the golden generation of the Ivorian team. Compare them with that of the Egyptian golden generation. You will agree with me that the Ivorian side were always a title contender for the AFCON trophy. Pundits would have easily rated their arrays of stars to crush any African side. But there was a challenge for this Elephant side. It was obviously their GOALKEEPING. They were weak without any doubt. While the Egyptian team possessed core home based team, which was equally adept in every field. Not until there was a ripe maturity from the Ivorian goalkeeper, Barry if recall in the penalty shoot out before he was able to help the Ivorian side win the nations cup, at this point the golden generation of the Ivorian side had lost a core of its key players with the absence of drogba and others. But yet they were able to win the nations cup, with a more matured GK. Who saved and scored during PK. Shaky Barry really turning this around at that point made me value experience. I stick with Enyeama. Even as an understudy to the younger GK. Another thing is having a team is capable in every aspect and not leaving a loop hole to be exploited. We can say we have the team, but the GK is still much a worry that we need to resolve to have a Balanced side like the golden Egyptian team, whose GK continues to dominate affairs for the team. Even when he came back from retirement. |

abeg let's forget this mane, salah, aubemeyang comparison with VicMo. I mean we could easily drop Vicmo without a second thought. imagine an Aubemeyang in SE ahead of VicMo, or a Mane how potent that would serve us. Maybe VicMo is as good as Salah but his goal conversion rate cannot be compared with Salah if the Egyptian played for SE.
(2) Oshoala would easily win AWFTY. But we wouldn't say she hasn't played any match for Nigeria this year. while her SA rival has played. But we would not make a fuzz about it as we know she is way above her contenders.
when you are good, I mean clearly good. it is usually difficult to be ignored even when you are not at your peak. Names like Aube, Mane, Salah have been playing at this peak for the past 3 seasons. Maybe Salah hasn't but he has kept himself not too far off. Moses case like we know has been one which is just having a resurgence from his days at Wigan. |

gbosaa: That muthaphucka is snitching on us, it’s not as if they can’t watch and analyse Super Eagles’s matches but a Nigerian displaying such attitude on a foreign/enemy’s forum is stupid.
He was just trying to show off his debating skills. He riled and disrespected the Croats boasting that Nigeria would beat them by 3 unreplied goals!, bragged about the victory over the Argies in the last friendly and he got the sort of responses he deserved.
Let’s not be carried away by that victory. Argentina missed lots of chances. We might have a young and hardworking team of energetic young men but Croatia is highly favoured to win, the goal keeping issue might haunt us if we don’t sort it out. I hope we be able to stifle the threats of the likes of Perisic. He is fast, very skilful and can shoot hard and precisely at narrow and tight angles. Shehu, Ebuehi need to be fit and in top form to deal with that. Manzudkic is strong and deadly,Kalinic, Ratikic all are serious threats feeding off the deadly passes of Modric. The winner of that first match might top the group. I think Croatia will not lose to Argentina and I have a feeling Argentina might have a bad experience in Russia. I wish them disaster.
That boy ‘Super Eagles’ should stop showing off and disrescting Croatia. They see him as a Serb troll probably because of his knowledge of Croatia history and politics. been following the thread as well, that dude really needs to tune down. he talks too much. he is just trying to make a point about his intelligence, and that's sad. they would still racially define his perspectives. |

Mickael2: ok let me put it this way, between 2002-early 2013 we were not defensively strong right? And who was the constant defender there? Yobo. Many coaches tried many players, Apam, Adeleye, Shittu and so many others but we were still poor defensively then Keshi removed Yobo and since then we have been strong relatively, what does that tell you? How can you say for ten years we were not defensively strong?? haba. |

Mickael2: I would never ever rate Yobo among our best defenders, Yobo exemplified a period of defensive frailities for the Eagles, he was never really outstanding(except as a fullback) and he continued playing because of sentiments Mickael2 : I would never ever rate Yobo among our best defenders, Yobo exemplified a period of defensive frailities for the Eagles, he was never really outstanding(except as a fullback) and he continued playing because of sentiments Mickael2: I would never ever rate Yobo among our best defenders, Yobo exemplified a period of defensive frailities for the Eagles, he was never really outstanding(except as a fullback) and he continued playing because of sentiments (except as a fullback) he was outstanding?? |
