Don't mind them joor,Owerri is known as the skull mining giant of the world,it's industries are built with mud and those industries have the highest brown roof in the whole of Africa. The IGR of ekiti, the fastest developing state in Africa is bigger than the IGR of their tiny 5 southeastern states join together.Ibadan is their Newyork city where the all wish to live forever.Don't mind that mumu guy, those pictures he post are from lagos,Oshogbo and Akure. The all want to live their tiny land and come to the United states U.S of Africa.Indeed i'm proud of my states Ogun, oyo, osun, ekiti, kwara and ondo for having the biggest economy in Africa and also one of the highest developing states of the world.

Abro, I'm not from Imo State, I'm from Anambra and I grew up in Awka. So I'm perfectly sure of what I'm talking about, I've lived in Awka my whole life, but it's no where comparable to Owerri in terms of master plan.

The town planners we have here are doing little or nothing in terms of improving Awka master plan. You need to see how Rochas transformed Orlu that used to be slum. We need someone that will replicate what Rochas did in Orlu in Awka

Inner roads in Awka are too tiny(not wide enough), Even the major roads aren't wide enough either. You see houses built close to drainage, some are almost touching high tension cables smh.

Awka needs total overhaul, serious one.
stop replying/quoting that guy. Maybe you are new here. He is a known Afonja pretending to be from Anambra and is always using Anambra to fight other igbo states to cause confusion. Ignore him.

Your topic is different from what you just wrote here. I've traveled quite around the country, I'd say something similar and even more to what you wrote if I'm asked to describe my experience about the east, but how do you guys feel turning every topic of discussion into tribal/religious fights? From bicycle ride to this?

Are you blind to the multiply threads they open on a daily basis to mock the East as being undeveloped and how Osun state generate more IGR than the combination of all the SE states, and how Anambra is poorer than Osun state, going by their fake NBS report, headed by an Afonja man?

Please spare me your sermon.

This thread really pained some Afonja. It reminds them of their own developmental failures despite having more advantage in the Nigerian structure over the years. Hence they want to drag others along into their low standards and poverty, cos they believe everybody is like them. Smh

Anyways, this is a reminder that development is people based and not fully government. In the east we don’t wait for government, individuals take up development, hence it reflect in our standard and quality of living.
Others can be deceiving themselves with IGR and NBS fake reports. Las las, covid 19 exposed the deep hunger in the land, and we all saw where was worst hit.

The motto is develop first, the government can later come and fix the roads. the pace of development is faster than what government can handle, i dont blame them. only if the local governments can be made independent and functional.
