We survived.. Kano Pogrom 1945 Jos Pogrom 1953 Nationwide pogrom 1966 Genocide 1967 to 1970. We survived abandoned properties. We survived state imposed bankruptcy. We survived nationalisation of industries. We survived quota system. We survived government anti Igbo policies. We survived Fulani herdsmen. We survived destruction of our properties in Islamic riots. We will outlive every evil policy from a country entangled in gross darkness and mired in structural wickedness. Evil can never triumph over good. We will overcome the dark heart of man. of man's inhumanity to man. Today we remember our heroes. Odumegwu Ojukwu. Philip Effiong. Alexander Madiebo. Joseph "Hannibal" Achuzia. Rolf Steiner Taffy Williams Carl Rosen Roger Faulques Bruce Mayrock Jan Zumbach Etc. Thanks for giving your yesterday so that we can have a future. ... and God bless the living legend Squadron Leader Artur Alves Pereira of the Biafran army, for coming to our rescue when the world feigned blindness to the cruelty of the dark construction of the human heart. Your generation is blessed. Today we remind Nigeria that her past will continue to haunt her, her present will continue to torment her and her future will continue to elude her... for obfuscating history and conniving with evil, until Biafra is recognised and freed. Even if Nigeria, a country suffering identity crisis and internal contradiction forgets, we will never forget. We will take back our nation. From the Hausa Fulani slavemasters and their puppets. We will restore Biafra. And make it the pride of Africa. In Biafra Africa died and in Biafra Africa shall rise again. In Biafra Nigeria died and in Biafra all the ethnic nationalities currently enslaved in Nigeria will rise again. Come Biafra come. 507 Likes 83 Shares |

*Temii Dayo* writes Dear Humans, In a few hours the Gregorian calendar will read May 30. Some people will call that time bloc "TOMORROW". NIGERIA HAS NO TOMORROW. Tomorrow, Nigeria will once again spit on the graves of the young Igbo children she murdered during the genocide called the Nigerian Civil War. Tomorrow, Nigerians from all ethnic enclaves in the country will join hands in this bloody communion with our country in this travesty most vile. This is how Nigerians will collude with Nigeria tomorrow to kill those children of Biafra again: Tomorrow, they will make speeches on the social media and everywhere else to push the delusion that May 30 is about a man called Nnamdi Kanu and the group of angry and fed up Igbo nationalists he leads called IPOB. They will mock IPOB. They will mock the concept of Biafra. They will tell you about Kanu's hate speeches. They will tell you about the killing of the Sardauna and how Igbos mocking the murder of prominent northern leaders led to the days of rage which culminated in a "civil war". IPOB members themselves would hijack their slice of the narrative by demanding that all Igbos be for Kanu or be nothing. Everyone would have something to say. I should know this. I once was that Everyone. I once dealt with my unease by projecting my shame on the Igbos the way society raised me too. I once asked if the Igbos could not have prevented the war by not even being Igbo to begin with. I once politely asked the Igbo if they could help me feel more comfortable by not even existing. Of course I did not say it in these words. No one ever says it in these words. We are always civil in our murderous hate. It is how we can keep a steady hand while we rip out a small child's intestines. If we roared in our beastliness, the child would know to run. Their parents would shield them and fend us off. So we conceal the noise of our raging hate with a social demand campaign of civility. Tomorrow there will be civil speeches all over. Make no mistakes about it. Every "but why didn't the Igbo people just..." note of exasperation you hear, especially when it comes from a non-Igbo Nigerian is at its core begging the same beastly roar of hate that was thrown to the souls of those child murder victims in Igboland: Why did you have to be born? And this why I am confident to say this: There is NOTHING WHATSOEVER the Igbo whether individually or collectively have done wrong that would compare to a tenth of what other Nigerians are doing wrong. I won't belabour this post with too many trips down memory lane else I'd be reeling out statistics and instances of the naked criminal impunity of other ethnic groups in Nigeria which we have collectively agreed to accept as "their way". But I will leave you with this much: Southern Kaduna. Right now in your country a group of Nigerians are carrying out acts of xenophobia against other Nigerians. Again. You will not hear much about it because they are civil even while they slice through the throats of 5 year olds. And as with the attempts at ethnic cleansing of the Igbos during the Biafra Genocide, they are going for the jugular of their prey. They are killing little children. They do not want tomorrow to come, so they kill these children today. Nigeria will continue to murder children without any sense of outrage because she slaked her craven bloodlust in Biafra and no one called her to order. Dear Nigerians, Look. Let no one deceive you with words. Nigerian children will continue to be killed and their graves desecrated; Nigeria will continue to turn on herself and eat out her innards until she has nothing but the worms of her detritus left to swallow until Nigeria comes clean about the murders of Igbo children in Biafra. Nigeria has no tomorrow because Nigeria ended it in that crime spree called the Nigerian Civil War. We can find a million and one reasons why we would never apologise or accept our guilt in the murder of an adult person. We can latch on to any alibi we choose - from their hairstyle to their voice. But one depravity we will never be able to come to a consensus on, never mind how lost from the reach of our human conscience we might be, is the killing of a child. So today, tomorrow, when you come out to gloss over the crime that is called the Nigerian Civil War, I want you to think about your own child, your siblings' child...any child. You are a citizen of a country that kills little children. If you speak in defence of such a country, you are nothing but a beast. You are a rabid dog who wears clothes and tries to ignore the frothy saliva of rabies it drips everywhere in its delusions of civil language. When you take away the voice of a child in death, you take away every hope of a tomorrow. And because the universe of humans must square out ultimately, you will have no tomorrow to speak of. Your fellow rabid dogs are right now busy in Southern Kaduna. They are satisfying their raging hunger with our children once again. Their hunger knows no limits. Tomorrow, that will be your own child's intestines in their hands. So go ahead, Beast. Talk. Remember to be civil. 7 Likes 1 Share

Anytime I see posts or hear comments about how Igbos hate Yorubas or how Yorubas hate Igbos, I wonder if the meaning of "hate" has changed. How can you talk about long-standing hate between two ethnic groups and yet you cannot point at concrete examples of when they clashed and massacred one another in the last 50 years? What type of yeye hate is that? Look around the world and see how peoples who hate each other have been relating. Such a relationship never exists without perennial physical clashes and bloodshed and clear attempts to destroy one another. What exists between Igbos and Yorubas is not hate and is not anywhere near hate. What exists between them is mutual distrust. There is subtle rivalry between the two. Each believes it is better than the other and tries to prove it, but the other refuses to accept that. Each always thinks that the other wants to have an upper hand in all things. So each takes measures not to let that happen. Each creates stories about the other and feeds its children such stories. All these are meant to paint the other bad and weaker. There is always that feeling of: "If we cannot have it, let them not have it." So on person-to-person level, there is no problem between people from both ethnic groups. But on a group level, many lose their heads and resort to directly or indirectly maintaining that rivalry without even knowing that they are doing so. Cc: Azuka Onwuka 23 Likes 4 Shares |

Sammy07: All these zoo educated rats Do you know the meaning of indigenous, to say yorubas are indigenous to Cuba and Brazil? What you have in Cuba and Brazil are descendants of yorubas slaves who have decided to retain a part of the Yoruba culture.... it doesn’t make them yoruba, even if they speak Yoruba: does speaking English make you English? You also have descendants of igbo slaves littered all over the Caribbean, should they also be counted as Igbos? Finally, the only place yoruba is spoken outside nigeria as an indigenous language and also identify with the yorubas in Nigeria is those of Benin republic, and they are just a 12% minority yorubas speaking tribe KnowN as KETU people, in Benin republic and also in Togo.. It doesn’t make whole of 11million population of Benin republic yorubas or 6million Togolese yoruba. There are also other tribes in those countries That you have people similar to yoruba in Ghana or Ivory Coast, doesn’t make them yorubas.... they don’t even call themselves or identify As yorubas, neither do they speak a dialect or language related to yorubas. 18 Likes 2 Shares |

Without prejudice to my fellow Biafrans in Bini that I love dearly, I want to ask those that carved out South South/Niger-Delta, what are the tangible cultural ties or affinity between the people of Cross River and Bini that led to put them together in a geopolitical unit? Because Abia State has EKPE and OKONKO cults which are... This same topic have been discussed on Nairaland before... Who can remember this lady @Gracebae once asked this same question in a thread, and some of her fellow so called Niger deltans were attacking her. https://www.nairaland.com/3883693/what-does-ibibio-common-urhobobenin 2 Likes |

post=89732884: Beautiful... but I wish our roads can be 3lanes on both sides. I think two lanes roads are outdated and with growing population and cars in our roads, there will be need for expansion in the future, hence they should just construct it from the get go? Because having to expand the roads in the future will mean destruction of houses, payment of compensations etc, like we saw when Rochas tried to expand those in owerri, even though the roads are substandard. 80 Likes 4 Shares |

manuelreports:Even here on Nairaland, igbo Individual state threads are still active, with over 600pages... But go and check, the general thread for the Yorubas, They couldn’t even sustain it up to 320, yet igbos helped them take it to 150 at the begining before we abandoned it for them. I can remember then. Go through, all inside is just junks with no substance. You wonder why they are always fixated on igbo threads, because it’s always interesting, which end up having more pages. Anambra abandon theirs and restarted another one, yet have sustained it and still surpassed the general thread for NdiAmala https://www.nairaland.com/4463989/pan-igbo-political-economic-forum/714 This only tells you one thing, without igbos you are a nobody on anything social media in nigeria, because they are the only ones that can engage and sustain your page, forum, discussion or thread with real content. Be it as members, followers or as fans. Once they are your fans, they are very loyal to the extreme and diehard. Hence, don’t mess with them, unless they will come for you. Ask FFK, Reno Omokri, Kemi, Susana, maiyegun’s dairy, citizen Ay etc. That’s why they like courting igbos, and anytime they misyarn also, igbos don’t waste time in giving it back to them ghot hot Check people like Ena Ofugara, Cibi Dabo, Russell Bluejack and the rest, where are they today compared to when they were relevant? Igbos abandoned them cos of their too many over talk. They only result to blocking people, when they are being given back a slice of their own dosage. 3 Likes 1 Share

I had wanted to ignore the RANT woman's matter because in my view, getting the UN Nigeria, W.H.O Nigeria and the NCDC to severe their hitherto unofficial dealings with her, delete her COVID-19 video from their pages and sites as well as get her to publicly clarify that she never had any official endorsement with them should be enough to assuage the righteous anger of the victims of her verbal indiscretions but reading her recent post where she tried to play the victim amidst explanation of how her offensive posts were not directed at the Igbos as a whole, I feel compelled to make the following clarifications. 9 Likes 3 Shares |

We were colonized by Britain and without our consent, were forced together as one country in that atrocious 1914 enterprise known as almagamation. Plus, we've fought a bitter war amongst ourselves - a war which is yet to end. So it's not surprising that our ethnic cleavages will continue to manifest from time to time. It is not even unexpected for some of us to have some negative sentiment to express about our neighbors. Don't we all say some negative stuff about each other's tribe either in our unguarded moments, in our exclusive ethnic WhatsApp groups and even on our INDIVIDUAL social media handles sometimes? But, The moment you are trusted with any public position, be it an elected/appointed office or you assume the leadership of any multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multi-cultural social media group or you have any working relationship with an international organization dedicated to offering services to all people regardless of race, tribe, faith or culture, you owe it to yourself to cut down on your ethnic/cultural or religious prejudices and biases and pay closer attention to all your utterances, actions and even inaction. And when you speak absent thought against a whole race, nation, group or faith and the people you've unjustly denigrated start reacting, you don't go swearing that you would rather die than apologize. It becomes worse when you have a history of disparaging this particular people on numberless occasion in the past. And when they express displeasure over your unwarranted insult, you tag them touchy and divide them into "senseless" and "sensible". You don't do any of the above. And certainly not at a time of a deadly global pandemic which humanity needs to confront together. A lesson clearly lost on the RANT woman but one which every young person must struggle to imbibe. The UN Nigeria, W.H.O Nigeria and NCDC are reputable bodies with zero tolerance for discrimination of any kind. So why would you use a SUPPOSEDLY MULTI-ETHNIC group you founded to incite ethnic hate against a particular people even when the group rule frowns at such and you think any reputable body would like to associate with you?? And for those who say we are touchy, did you get bombed for 3 years while blockaded from both land, air and sea by international Forces and everything you've worked for taken from you simply because you sought to break away from a country structured to be deaf, dumb and blind to the sanctity of the lives of the same people she exists mainly to protect? Did you? Wait until you do, then come back and tell us if you would roll out the drum for anyone using a platform of over a million members, not even her individual account, to fertilize the same ground that incubated your past wars and woes. Ordinary COVID-19 lockdown, we are all screaming. Yet, our fore-bearers went through worse situation for 30 months amidst heavy bombardment and some toxic fellow dare accuse us of being touchy. No, we are not touchy. We are Torchlight. I blame you?? 30 Likes 3 Shares |

Area4Area: One thing I have noticed about igbos on social media. They are your best friends and very loyal. Once they love you, they love you to the end. But if you take them for granted, they will give you equal dose. Go and look at most non igbo social media influencers, check out their followers they are mostly igbos. Infact one of the easiest ways to be famous on social media is to court igbos, but let it be for the right reason, cos if you do any how, they come after you like hards of cattle 27 Likes 3 Shares |
