Romance / What would you do if you found yourself in this situation? by Mabella18(f): 2:18pm On Dec 15, 2021
I know we live in a cruel world, a lot of people have become so inhumane and their conscience has gone to the drains. How do people get to knock someone down on the road and just zoom off like nothing happened?, they don't even want to find out if he/she has a chance at survival or not. How do they get to sleep at night?

An Incidence of such happened yesterday, and I kept asking myself these questions. I was with my colleagues and I had to voice it out cos I was disturbed and to my utmost surprise one of them said that I was just talking because I wasn't in the person's shoes plus we were in the festive season, who would want to spend money on such things, he also added that I was just talking from a young girl's perspective. I had to tell him there was nothing like a young girl's perspective here, we all have human conscience and we should make use of it.

Since that event transpired till now, I haven't been myself, I've kept on wondering if truly I was talking from a young person's perspective or if there are more people like the driver and my colleague cos it was obvious he would have done same.

So I want to know, what would you do if you were in this position?, Would you hit and run or stop to save the person's life?

Travel / What Was Your First Experience Like Travelling By Water? by Mabella18(f): 4:13pm On Jul 10, 2021
So I travelled by water for the first time in my life on Thursday. It was a journey from Port Harcourt to Bonny Island. My colleagues and I boarded a speed boat.

Initially I wasn't scared like I should have been since it was my first time. I was basically excited and eager to know how travelling by water was like.

The journey started, we hadn't even gotten anywhere when the boat stopped, gbagam......that was when the wahala started, my mind skipped. Passengers started shouting, telling the sailor to go back since we hadn't gone far, he obliged and reversed, then he started working on the boat and it jerked back to life, then he turned again and continued the journey.

The journey was going well, the water was still calm since it was in the morning. We had travelled a reasonable distance where we couldn't see anything else except water then the boat stopped again. Ah........mogbe, I became scared, he worked on it again and it wasn't long when the engine started and we sailed on.

Different thoughts began to flood my head, my mind was playing tricks on me. My mind started singing "When peace like a river....." I was like which kind wahala be dis before I knew it was "The storm is over". My mind started displaying Titanic for me, nothing fear no go cause, I just tire.

Next was Geography, one thought was if it was salt water or fresh water? I sha got my answer when water splashed on my face and entered my mouth. Damn!, It was salty.

The part I enjoyed most was when we were about reaching and a wave passed, the way the boat went up and down, bouncing on the water made me feel like I was going on a rescue mission (wetin too much film dey cause) Lol.

We finally arrived and my face was all itchy because of the water that splashed on it, had to get water to watch my face. I kinda enjoyed it though.

Have you ever travelled by water? What was your first experience like?

I made a similar choice for two years...but now that I'm ready, the people I would have chosen are all married, it is difficult to find a good woman now.

Don't worry.....a good woman will come and she'll be the right one for you.

Romance / What's Your Thought On Tall Girls Getting Married To Tall Guys? by Mabella18(f): 9:53am On Jun 18, 2021
It's not a new thing that whenever a girl is tall, she's told by people not to get married to a tall guy so that they don't birth overly tall children.

I'll take myself for example, I've had several encounters of such. The recent one was yesterday at my workplace, just walked in to get something and what lead to the discussion is what I don't know, I'm about 1.79m tall.....and they were like I shouldn't marry a tall man o, that we'll give birth to children that'll be too tall, that I should marry a short man and I was like what are these people saying ......my partner will either be the same height with me or a bit taller than me, you guys should allow me worry about my children biko.

Have you ever encountered this? Both as a lady/guy, What was your response?

Without discrediting you, alot of females claim to value honesty and abhor dishonesty

Check school yearbooks, you'll see most girls with honesty as a turn on and dishonesty as a turn off

The reality and experience shows that it's all just bull and not true, since it's common knowledge that women prefer smooth liars to honest, straightforward dudes

You may be an exception though, rare as it actually is

No offence taken if you discredit me, I understand......a lot of people claim honesty but behave the opposite.....I for one prefer actions to words......so I won't just say I'm honest, I let my actions speak for me.

What are the values you hold so dearly? that you can't compromise for anything at all.

Mine is honesty and truthfulness........I try to be so honest in all my dealings with people, I don't cheat people and I also hate lies with a passion and try to avoid situations that'll make me tell lies to the extent my mom calls me mother mary.

Bro, why do i think you are kind of pacifying her to marry a man with potential.
Women are not doing any man a favour by sticking with them. If they like make them marry or not, men won't die and life will move on.
Only if you know that most men are also enduring them.
Hardly will you see a nigerian relationship that is balanced.
It is all about what they can gain from men.
Most of the relationship have ever been were a waste of time and resources. I don't fancy it anymore.
How will you date a woman for 3,6 months or a year without nothing to show for it.
You look back, no boxers, no wrist watch, no singlet or wears, sneakers etc NOTHING!!!! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!! and you think i will be proud of such person? Someone i can remember with anything, no hosting me on outing or pool or cinema etc
It is very very very boring.
Love should be give and take.
If you are too broke to buy things for your bf in a relationship, then am sorry you have a misplaced priority.
What you need as a woman then is a job and not a relationship.

I'm in love with this comment

Have you ever been in a situation where you're single and refuse going into a relationship because you feel you have some set goals to achieve first? Like you feel I really need some certain things first and because of this reason, these people asking you out starts seeing you as being self-centered and wicked.

I'll start with mine, I refused dating anyone for now because I feel I need to attain some level of financial stability and develop some other aspects of my life before going into one......so I can love my partner the best way there is to love. These reasons I've given to the people asking me out in the most clearest way possible but they don't seem to get the point, that was how one called me selfish and said I'm undeserving of his love, another said I'm choosing my career over him that I shouldn't worry, time would tell.........see me see wahala o grin grin

Please share yours. smiley
