Bros r u not tired of dis ur copy and paste of d same comment on more dan 15 different threads dat have to do with rivers state. Try and be more original with ur intelligence if u have one. U r blabbing dat Amaechi gave private investors land to develop real estate on, pls did ur teacher ever taught u d meaning of PPP? Cos u need to use google which is free. And for dis monorail issue, it may please u to know it was supervised mainly by Engr. Tele ikuru (Deputy gov) who's now Wike's right-hand man. D project didn't see d light of d day because it wasn't well oranised from the start. It is one of d few minus in Amaechi's administration, bt no soul could ever say Amaechi isn't d best governor Dats ruled rivers state. So stop ur sentiments and focus on reality.

Bros he did. However it was when Wike was his chief of staff. All those projects were done in his first tenure. It was because of this Rivers people considered him for a second tenure. Unfortunately, he used money accrued to Rivers State to sponsor election instead of developing his state.
You can see why Rivers people believed it was Wike who influenced him to carry out those meaningful projects.
I would also want to add that the mono rail project was a miscalculation. Its present state is about 20% complete. Dont be deceived by the pix you see. The train you see has no rail for tractions. It was hurriedly put in place to deceive Nigerians who can not get down to verify things by themselves.

Lemme ask u, who was the contract for Iwofe-rumuolumeni rd awarded to during Amaechi's 1st term? Incase u don't knw it's Wike, and he spent d money. It would interest u to know dat Wike collected Commision from all contractors Amaechi awarded contracts for projects, dis made most of dem to have issues with mobilization to sites, this was just one of d few issues dat started dier strained relationship after his 1st term. Wike is a globally recognised thief, if u doubt it let him surrender his immunity today and see if he would not end up in Jail.

Corruption fighting back indeed.....This is why I laff Everytime people keep blaming PMB for budget padding and, that none of d past corrupt Politicians and Govt officials have not been convicted. This thread becomes inevitable, given the current backlash and vents of frustrations from the Minority Voters and some people who have been displaced from their sources of "livelihoods" by the Change of government at the Center and the current stand of Mr. President on accountability...

Recall that during the campaign period, the three pillars of Buhari' Promise Were: Security (Boko Haram), Anti Corruption War and The Economy..

Let's us examine these three Pillars, on how Mr. President is faring on the above Mentioned indices:

1. Security (Boko Haram):
When Buhari assumed power, the activities of Boko haram were on all time high..In fact, it was documented that Boko haram was occupying about 14 Local councils, this is in spite of the late push by the infamous and corrupt of government of Jonathan in early last year...

Now fast forward to 8 Months after, Boko haram has not only been defeated and cleared off the Councils, they have not been able to stage any attack for the Past 2 Months...

How did Buhari Achieve this feat and what were the initial reactions from the Wailers and critics alike?

When Buhari started this war against this evil in the North East, we could recall that he embarked on regional tours, to gather support from the neighboring countries, in order to have a coordinated and smooth approach on the war against Boko Haram. At this time, Nigerian Army was being reorganized, rearmed and re oriented on the new approach to the war... by President Buhari who equally is a retired Army General and a war Veteran.

However, when this planning was being put together by the Security team led by the indefatigable Mr. President, Boko Haram who had sensed that their time was coming to an end, embarked on last minute, wanton destruction and Killing of soft targets...it then looked like no progress was being made on the War...while the Buhari's government was assuring Nigerians the War was almost over, that Boko Haram had been technically defeated...
The wailers, the haters and those who never wished him well from day one...shouted him down calling him incompetent, 'Dullard" and other unprintable names... But now the eggs are on their faces...The President, The Nigerian Army and the patriotic Nigerians have won the War...

2. Anti Corruption War: This is another area, Mr. President has continued to receive accolades from far and within on his Vigorous approach on war against corruption...
The mighty, and the low, the generals and the ranks and files, The Father and The Son are all mingling freely in Kirikri and other jail yards, awaiting their days in court... Buhari Promised looters hell on earth...and hell, they are seeing.., Billions are being recovered daily.. Foreign countries who hitherto were reluctant and unwilling to repatriate Abacha's loot because the ones returned were relooted by the cronies of Past administrations are now doing so... Promised Kept!

Meanwhile for those who think, the cases in court now would drag forever like the Cases of Orji Uzor Kalu, Chimaroke Nnamani, etc..Sorry to disappoint you!! There is a new act passed by the 7th Assembly, to fasttrack Criminal cases, Known as The Administration Of Criminal Justice Act 2015-The Silent Revolution ...So like the election petition Cases, The criminal cases are now being heard on day to day basis...

How did Buhari Achieve this and what were initial reactions of the Same set of people who wanted Buhari to fail from day one?

When Buhari embarked on tour to some International countries pleading that they help in tracing and possible repatriation of the monies stashed by past governments officials in their countries...
What were the reactions of Wailers and some critics then?.."Buhari should name names or shut up" "Nobody stole anything" "Why are they not being arrested" "Is all witch hunting" etc..
However, like Boko Haram war, they are now silent and covering their faces in Shame...

3. The Economy:

Just like the Boko Haram War, Buhari while working day and night to fix and kick start the economy is being harshly criticized by the same set of people who never believed in his style which has effectively defeated Boko Haram, fighting Corruption without fear and ensuring accountability in facet of governance.
Nevertheless like an astute and detailed administrator, the President has embarked on the following measures to jump start the economy which the benefit will surely start creeping in on or before the Year;

A) A 6.8Trillion Budget which is awaiting passage by the National Assembly.

B) Full Implementation of TSA to ensure availability of funds for the government as at and when due..

C) Rallying OPEC to ensure Oil Price Stability, which has already started yielding fruits..

D. Setting up of Economic Team, which will be unveiled next month.

E. Diversification of the Economy thru Agriculture and Solid Minerals, which will commence immediately the Budget is passed..

Now the Big question is: If a President who effectively tackled Boko Haram that had bedeviled the country for the past 7 years, within 8months of assumption of power, Fought corruption with Zeal and determination that had never been seen before in the annals of the country...Why Do You Think The Same Man Cannot Effectively RESET Our Monolithic Economy Which Is Adversely Affected By The Astronomical Fall In Price Of The Only Commodity That Sustains It?

Therefore, Buhari Is Resetting Nigeria...And We Believe In Him..

I dont think you are, because if you are, you would have known the preamble of Ameachi's treachery against the collective interest of the people of the Niger Delta. where were you when Ameachi received a prophecy that he's going to be a vice President? How can he be made a vice president in the PDP when a son of the Niger Delta was already on seat as the President? It is the prohecy that drove Ameachi to start anti-party so that he could decamp to the opposition (APC then) where he can have a chance of becoming the VP.

Well I am not impressed with the comments of the Ameachi, that is why he cannot achieve half GEJ achievements, even if his government was filled with so much corruption.

The whole world listen to his interview and that is not expected a former governor and currently a minister for that matter, he should be more concern about the lives of the citizens in the state, now the statement he has made will lead to more problems and PDP not responding at this time shows a lot of maturity and they should maintain that till the election is over, for the killings in Rivers most, if not all are cult related killings a former colleague of mine was killed in omoku and several others long before elections and after election which had nothing to do with politics.

So all this comments of calling Wike a thief and the police commissioner being bribed just show that Ameachi was one sperm that was wasteful used. I am so ashamed to call him my for!er Governor.

I can conveniently tell you that Wike is working. I was in PH 2 weeks ago and on my way to Saipen via Iwofe road, I noticed that he has done the road almost to the River side end of it. The guy is really utilizing wisely whatever loan he may have borrowed.

Hahaha, wike is funny, this road was 90% completed b4 Amaechi left, wike just did a small section of d bridge to link d oda side of d road and now commissioning d whole road as a new Project....lol. Bros u need to find out d history of dat Iwofe road. Amaechi awarded d iwofe road project (In wike's rumuolumeni area) to Wike during Amaechi's 1st term,but Wike ate d money and didn't even jack. Just to imagine this is a Governor complaining of decline in allocations to the state and therefore cannot sustain most economic policies left by his predecessor, and he has started owing salaries too. Of what benefit would this be to the hungry and broke youths on the streets, or the unemployed graduates or the traders in the market.
This is just a misplaced priority, am sure with the way this Gov is going, he won't achieve Anytin tangible after 4yrs.

It is detestable for a young Nigerian to have dis kind of shallow & senile mentality. We have destroyed reputable institutions & moral values just on d altar of POLITICS. How can u be placing curse on president for doing his job? Someone old enough to be your grandfather. Anyway, lack of knowledge and adequate information has impoverish the intelligence of our youths, that's why most keep shouting there's unemployment and bad economy in Nigeria without them understanding the cause and the solutions to rectify the situations.

Let me educate u a little, I am not into politics but I really sorry for PMB for taking over d leadership at this turbulent period. I believe most of the promises the APC made to Nigerians as a party isn't tenable and realistic at this period in time, because they didn't anticipate this kind of economic meltdown and revenue decline. This isn't a blame-game period, we are all aware the past administrations has destroyed our economy, and turned our mentality to more of a "beggar-type" rather than self-sufficient and being productive.
The priority of a sensible government isn't about satisfying few "selected" Nigerian youths and be giving them N5000 monthly stipends, whereas millions of Graduates are rolled out every year from our institutions without any hope of employment.
The only way for every responsible citizen is not to criticise the government at every opportunity like "Fayose"does, but for us all to help rebuild a nation, restructure the economy, block all leakages and reset the mentality of our youth from this "get-rich-quick" one to a productive and resourceful one.
I believe it might be tough for now due to d low revenue from Oil and d delay in d passage of budget, but PMB and his team are on the right path.
Let us stop playing politics with the future of our country!!!
