I got the contact of a fellow nairaland member who is on to MLM business around august in this forum, and to be candid, I started with zero naira byt today, I cash in a few thousands. For me to reciprocate this, I came here again, put up something about mlm and many contacted me. However, we finished the training, only one came back and showed interest. I thank God, she is doing well today.

I discover that people will rush a package with a price taq, but free things like this, they won't take it serious. These are programs people will demand huge amount of money from you and won't teach you the rudiments and your money will go down the drains....

I have a project of writing Four different stories depicting the funny side of poverty, the word length is 2300 each within a month, and the client is offering $7 per story making the whole work $28, but I told him to pay $10 per story making it $40 for the four stories. Please is the bid too much or too poor for a work like that?

Seems it's true cos the same thing happened to me few minutes ago when I was bidding. They minimized it to something like 250 characters.

I need advices from you guys, there was an employer that awarded me a contract of £200 per week, it was a project on Web search and data entry and a tedious one to be precise, I accepted the project with no idea of what milestone was all about, then I later persuaded the employer during our chat on creating a milestone payment after reading about the benefits of milestone and she said she will do so on thursday last week(The project was awarded on Monday last week) and will be paying me every saturday, now my problem is that I tried my best to finish the job on friday morning(a project of getting information on optical stores/ clinics under the criteria she gave, about 9 of them and I'm to submit 500 entries every week), I've been sending chats and e-mails to her about the milestone payment before thursday and she's not responded any, after completion of the project, I notified her via e-mail and chat medium and till now I've not seen any reply from her. I'm confused and need advice on what to do now because my account is having -£112...
Please I humbly ask for advices from Ladywriter, Tanxo, Chidinho, Godmother and other advanced freelancers.

I guess you did not read ALL the pages on this thread before you started. I suggest you do that before you make other costly mistakes.

Milestone creation is the ONLY guarantee you have that the employer will pay you after a SUCCESSFUL project. When someone awards you a project, do not accept until he or she creates a milestone. Immediately you get an award, tell the employer to create a milestone before you accept.

Just know that once you accept a FIXED PROJECT, the fees are deducted immediately, unlike HOURLY PROJECTS where fees are deducted only when the employer pays you.

If you have not submitted the first batch, tell your employer that you are waiting for the first week milestone before you will submit. Also let him or her know that you will start working on subsequent ones ONLY when you see a milestone. Do not work without a milestone. You may suffer to work and the employer will abandon you at the end of the day. This is business, not charity. A lot of crooks are on FL masquerading as employers and FL seem to side them over the workers, probably because they are the one with the money.

Sorry, i'm not trying to embarrass you, it is a common mistake many of us make. The past tense of bid is bid or bade . I have also made this mistake before. Nobody is perfect but at least we can help others improve their knowledge on the little ones we know. Thanks.
