Good Afternoon House. I am a Physiotherapist who is interested in migrating to the UK. I would appreciate if there is any Physiotherapist in the house who has successfully migrated through the HCPC programme should kindly put me through.

Thank you for your time.

I haven't been on here in quite a while, apologies for the late response. I am physiotherapist in the UK on a spouse dependent visa. Do you have your HCPC license and how many years of clinical experience do you have?

Good Morning all,

We just renewed our visa. We initially paid IHS for 1year but my baby at the time was under 1 and was required to pay for 3 years. We renewed our visa for 3years and had to pay another 3 years IHS, this is including my baby who we had previously paid 3years IHS.
Please how do I request for a refund for the 2years left on the previous IHS of my baby (thats £400 cry cry cry). Thanks

Travel / Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by MadameKofo: 9:58am On Jun 11, 2018
Hahahaha. I think mostly IT. You'd hear £1000 and over per day sef.

Oga Ralphlauren please show us the way grin grin grin

Our seniors in the house can you please throw more light on sectors/jobs that pay good money. It Would be an advantage to know the sectors outside the medical field that are balling.

Looking through Job websites I see jobs with salaries of £30-40k per year but people here have talked about jobs that pay £500, £650, £700 per day and someone even said £20k per month.

Those with such info should please help us in demystifying the uk job market Abeg o

Thanks

Good day people. New UK Immigrant on Tier 2 dependent visa.
Settling in nicely with 2 kids under 4. I've been able to get my first into a nursery with 15 free hours, which he goes to from Monday - Friday.
Moving around with 2 kids hasn't been so easy without a car. I've applied for my temporary license and will start preparing for the theory test soon.
I will be a stay at home mom for now till my baby turns 1, While also waiting for my license to be approved from my professional body (I'm a physiotherapist) as well as doing relevant online courses to make up for my time not being in active work.
I've been considering a change in career, probably project management although i have no prior experience whatsoever, just something i think i might enjoy doing in the long run. If anyone knows about any entry level or trainee jobs i wouldn't mind you sharing the information.
Anyone has any business ideas i can be doing online from home?

Okay let me go and start reading from page 0, i can already feel there will be so much valuable and useful information on this thread.

One love guys kiss kiss

Good morning all. Also a newbie in UK on a tier 2 dependent visa. Mamatukwas you and i are in similar situations. I have 2 kids under 4.
Looking for how to attack this UK job maket as well. I just applied for my temporary license and would take the theory test soon. Mobility cannot be a hindrance

I have International drivers license from Nigeria. Im just not confident enough to drive on UK roads. The right hand steering still dey confuse me

Mamatukwas:

Apology accepted Sir and many thanks for your feedback! You've given me food for thought. All 3 of my kids are under 4- the last is a newborn.

My visa doesn't have work restrictions which is a plus.. I've decided to start working seriously towards getting my license so that I'm not limited by mobility as is the current situation then decide on the best way to attack this U.K. Job market smiley God will help us. Your input is very much appreciated and has been saved for future reference.

Regards.

Thank you all for the replies
We would definitely leave the UK within 5 years for family vacations, etc. So the baby will be illegal if allowed to stay beyond 6 months in the UK despite having US citizenship. We have already paid part of the hospital fees so we just might go ahead to have the baby in the US.
Since i would be coming back to Nigeria it will be ideal to apply for the baby before i finally go to the UK.
Pls how long does it take for Child dependent visa to be processed and how much does my husband need to have in his account in UK to apply for 2 children under 5.
Thank you all for your contributions. God bless you my people

Hello people. Happy weekend. Please i don't know if anyone has been in a situation like this before.
My husband is in the process of applying for Tier 2 visa. The certificate of sponsorship gotten from the job he got covers for him, me and my son.
Im presently pregnant and we are thinking we both apply together first and afterwards he'd sponsor my son and new baby in a few months. He's to resume in September and im due October. I intend going with him in September to get my permit then come back to Nigeria after a week.
Having a Tier 2 visa now will make it easier for me to apply for jobs and get one before i resign from my current job in Nigeria
Now i dont know how easy it will be to apply for the children later, hoping it wouldnt raise a red flag. Or do I just wait and have my baby in a few months time and apply later with the 2 kids.
Im so confused right now and your advise would be highly appreciated. Thanks

Advisory:

When are you starting the job? When will you be in uk, when is the baby due? Best bet is to apply first and sort out the baby when he/she is here

Thank you for your response. My husband is starting work in September so we'd be in UK around that time, baby is due in October. Are you suggesting we all apply together now, then apply for baby alone later? Or do we apply for both kids at the same time.
