Thanks so much.

gracedson:
If you are applying for the first time, you will not have a UCI number, so just ignore the part.

Dear Spectro,
Please what if I finished school in 2019 and due to the covid19, I've wasn't able to secure a job throughout 2020. What should I write? Fresh graduate or how will I put it. Though I've been doing some online businesses since then through my Facebook page.

Pls advice.

Spectro:
For those about to apply.

1. Write a solid SOP (Statement of Purpose). This document is very important. It should indicate the following.
- What you studied in a previous academic institution
- When you graduated
- What you did between graduation and now (were you working, where did you work, did you just graduate?)
- Please, don't write that you've been unemployed. You are either a recent graduate or have been gainfully employed.
- What course you want to study abroad
- Why you want to study that course
- Why you should not study that course here in Nigeria
- Why you opted for the Canadian University you chose
- Why you opted for Canada and not some other country
- How acquiring a degree from the Canadian University will help your situation in Nigeria.
- How acquiring a degree from the Canadian University will enable you to add value to Nigeria.
- How you will be a law-abiding visitor and good neighbor in Canada.
- What you intend to do when you return to Nigeria after your studies.
- Declaration of funds and its allocation; who is sponsoring, how will the fund be allocated (fees, transportation, accommodation), etc?

elenewton1:
Usually you get a biometrics request letter within 24 hours after online submission.

Please to gurus in the house

I'm about applying for my study visa for fall 2021, through general route but I'm planning to submit my IELTS score (6.0 overall band). I'm not going through NSE due to the 30kCAD.

Is it advisable to submit my IELTS score upfront?
Is it also advisable to submit my MBS and medical report upfront?

IF I submit all the necessary documents upfront, how will it affect my application?

Current processing time for Nigeria is now 21 weeks while Ghana is reduced to 6 weeks. What's really happening. How did I find myself in this country?

Pls can someone with the following ielts result have a good chance with NSE?

Listening 5.0
Writting 6.5
Reading 5.5
Speaking 6.0

MsJanez01:
U see this race, just do what is asked of you. We all read English in the university but a number of us still write the ielts. IRCC demanding for ielts from Nigerians as a requirement for NSE are fully in the know that English is our first language. That doesn't mean your application won't be processed but through NSE; will be at the discretion of the VO. My advise, just write it cause the wait for NSE is draining how much more through normal route. Dont be at their mercy

Pls can my sponsor (my hubby) use his retirement savings account (pension account) with some money in his account as prove of fund for my study visa?
I'm going for 1 year PG PROGRAM. I want to apply through NSE.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by madamg: 2:13pm On Apr 04, 2021
Thanks so much for your explanation.

Spectro:
If after deducting tuition and other academic related expenses, you have at the very least 10,000 CAD, I believe you are good to go.

But you will really have to explain this to the VO. The VO needs to understand that you made some payments, etc... And you must attach all the proofs.

What's important is showing that you have a minimum of10,000 CAD after all academic related expenses have been made.

I am not too sure, but I think this 10,000 CAD may be your pocket money as you land in Canada, so you may also have to factor in other expenses like plane ticket, transportation cost to Canada, etc...

It's always good to have above the said amount.

When you say he is moving the second term tuition, what exactly do you mean?

I should add that if the finances look really forced and hard, the VO may not be amply convinced. He or she would think your study abroad is not worth the immense financial sacrifice.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by madamg: 1:57pm On Apr 04, 2021
Thanks Spectro,

My program is 1 year and first term fee is 5,845CAD. I'm to pay a balance of 4,845CAD which is approximately 1.8m having paid the 1,000 tuition deposit. My husband is moving the second term tuition and leaving expenses to me and he will still have 2m remaining in his account. Can I still go ahead with NSE?

Spectro:
Your listening score is somewhat low, considering how Canada places high emphasis on the listening test.

Regardless, I have no idea if it will impair your chances... I'll let the gurus address that.

As for cash, 30,000 Canadian dollars is equal to approximately 10 million Naira, going by the IRCC/Mid-market rate.

But then, other factors matter here... The tuition of your chosen college/University and the information on your bank statement.

For example,

1. Is the closing balance more than 30,000 CAD? (Remember, your spouse is your sponsor, and it is expected that he must have something left for himself too).
2. Has there been moderate inflow and outflow?
3. Did a lump sum suddenly appear?
4. Is the bank statement authentic?
5. Is the bank statement yours, your parents', your spouse's, or someone not very close?
6. Are there other documents attached to reflect sponsorship commitment, signature, etc.?

I don't need you to answer these for me, but you get the picture.

Thank you for your reply.

Rootiab:
1. You can submit the ielts.
2. 6m is small. 1 year is meant to be 30k cad which currently is 12m. 1 cad is 400 naira. If possible have 10m - 15m and attached the ielts
