Introvert isn't timidity, neither is it being afraid of others. It's about enjoying your own time but interacting with others when need be.

Inability to interact with others at all is a psychological problem. One should seek medical help for such a problem. Introverts have friends and partners. I'm married and have couple of friends and loads of acquaintances.

I mostly spend time with myself but I don't also run away from people. I don't think a lot of you guys here are introverts. You are socially awkward. What I may term s social misfit. Please seek help quickly.

I also noticed people talking about being trampled on. I don't talk much, hardly interact deeply with acquaintances, neighbours, colleagues, workers etc but I notice I'm very highly respected. It seems nobody wants to offend me. They talk to me with so much respect, even those older than me that it baffles me. I still don't understand why. This has made me disregard the notion that quiet people are trampled on. The reverse has always been the case for me.

Alot of people have made some points just like you have,giving their own evaluation of who an introvert is or not but without the use of judgmental terms. You can be blunt in your utterances but tagging people misfits and all..smh
I'm not disputing the fact some introverts may actually need psychological help no doubt, but the fact that you're different doesn't make you any better.. Everybody na king for him lane introvert or not.

Read the book : The road less traveled by M. Scott Peck
Go through his therapy sessions of some of his patients, how he evaluated them to get to the root of their neurosis. At no point was he judgemental about his patients condition tho he was firm and blunt on some occasions he never tagged them social misfits..

A brief incident, someone called me a nasty name on the 31st night for no reason, I've been the type to let it slide cuz she's used to throwing words..but this one got me, I sent her happy new year message and later in the day sent her a message telling how I really felt about the "nasty word" and how you don't use such word on people.she called me to apologize, but ended it saying she wouldn't utter another word to me, I just wished I let her be and as usual avoid them.
I'm back home wondering if I was wrong to tell somebody how I felt about their actions. This is one reason why I like to subdue my emotions, keep to myself and avoid people, they always misinterprete things.

One of the most annoying thing is people think we are blind to their bad attitudes,as being quiet is seen as being dumb so they keep at it. I hate confrontations, but when I've had enough, I'm like a volcanoe, I must let out the hot lava till the end.. and mehn getting angry can be exhausting, I can take a whole month to recover from it.

People find it hard to understand my nature, I dodge my neighbours, avoid shallow conversations, stay indoors most times, hardly mingle except book reviews I go for because it makes sense. No girlfriend, emotions are subdued and I hate to let my feelings known to people because i find it hard to trust. Only few people have stuck around me. But then when I speak I keep people spell bound, I'm a bit of a perfectionist, sometimes I don't talk so people don't find me intimidating.Only few have come to know me.

I looked back at the beginning of this year, precisely 14th January 2019 when I started working at a private primary school. Three weeks later, I was told that I had to be taking two primary five students extra lessons after closing (3pm), and the pay was 1k each. With my monthly salary which was 13,000 added to the "1k" each makes 15 thousand.

You would think I earned 13k for three months abi! No I didn't. The first salary I got was the half of 13k. The woman just called the staff on the 28th of January and gave me 6.5k. I had no idea what was going on and I thought she was going to balance up at the beginning of February just like she said while addressing us but it was a lie. it was at the end of the term, the third month April, that I got to know I am being ripped off. She said she was going to pay 5000 naira at the end of the term as salary because school opened for just 10 days. It was the greatest shock of my life. A graduate, a grown up man like me, taking 5000 naira home!!
I wanted to leave but I couldn't because I wouldn't be paid for the common entrance lesson and I had not gotten any other opportunities elsewhere.

Sometimes in early February, She called me that I would be handling primary 5 Common entrance lessons which is meant to hold every Saturday and at the end of the third term the money will be shared between Me, a staff that partners me and the proprietress. She said the money will be shared 60%(I and another man) to 40%(the proprietress). The formula was very unfair and strange to me. The sharing formula seemed very strange to me and I challenged it but she enforced it.

Fast forward to early this month, precisely 3rd of July, the proprietress started acting strange and insulting all the workers and all that. The following week she sent one of the oldest staff by to inquire what will be the staff reaction if they are not paid at the end if the term. The staff said they won't agree to such and some even threaten various actions. Fast forward to Thursday 25th of July, vacation day. the woman started up a plethora of complaints deliberately she said she was going to pay 4000 as July salary. The same thing she did at the end of second term. At the end she ended up not paying a dime. She didn't pay any of us. Not even the common entrance lesson which made me stay.

I cried and stayed inside throughout Friday. I had a deep thinking, with my academic background! Was it that I didn't know my worth? with all my struggles to be successful academically I am now slaving in one private school for a paltry sum of 15k, money wey I no fit cope with as an undergraduate! Money wey be say no reach my NYSC allawe!
I really feel for graduates going through phases like this. I really feel for graduates teaching at private schools. I pray better days finds you and I soon.

It's like after graduating from the university, there is nothing to look forward to, all the excitement fades away. I worked for a private I.T firm during my service n after, it was hellish, me that doesn't play with career growth, I was decieved with training n all, one training I didn't see. This man keeps deducting salaries for flimsy reasons, oya confirm me as staff I was already 3 months due mbanu.. they started sending me to Kano for jobs, no incentives attached to it.
Our society is so bad that employers get away with anything. You need to see this company's staff welcome book, Bros na types of punishment n fine full inside.
End of the month, staff will open punishment book to see the cost attached to it, so you can counter management when they deduct your pay by month end..
Seriously, if I have my way I'll leave Nigeria to somewhere I can grow, everything I've learnt I taught myself. Nobody wants to mentor anyone because of fear of being better than them, very backwards thinking.

This is the same Uniport graduate dude Chinedu Zinquest whose family claimed was killed by the police because of a tattoo and he destroyed vehicles in the station .. At this point dude has been shot and was losing a lot of blood , his body immediately releases an overdose of fear flight and fight hormone andrenaline which when paired with some other narcotic or alcohol he had taken before the encounter could cause such delusional Dutch courage and warrior complex he is putting on ..at the end of the video when his andrenaline wore off he started requesting for a phone to call his dad but unfortunately those policemen declined .. These guys stole, but then I look at the circumstances surrounding their choices. Their is a moral angle to this , wasted without given any avenue for repentance.
These guys could be our friends, brothers or cousin's, victims of a failed society.

Youths commit suicide, sniper is banned!!, How does that solve the problem?.. you don't kill a tree by cutting it's branch, you solve of problem by understanding it's root.

Most of what's plaguing us is our country's chop I chop leadership mentality, not thinking about how their actions affect the populaceboth past and present.

You graduate from a Nigerian university and it's like there's nothing to look forward to anymore..mschewww!!!

Am an introvert and it's affected every aspect of my life. ..am not scared of the outside world or anything, I just love being on my own...I tend to observe a lot, talk only to people I know, and tend to think a lot. ..Most ppl don't just get me...even my family think am always depressed, ppl don't just seems to understand me..I love being by myself, I won't deny, sometimes it's really lonely up in my head...I think, I breath and I smile...I haven't been able to keep a relationship for over a year, girls just get bored and move on..But most of the time I block them out myself...I have no patience for drama, fake-life and stuff...y3a, it's really lonely sometimes and I admit it'll be great and nice to have someone to understand me and learn to cope with my me...
