1.poor education is lack of funds mostly but hindered by religion,for instance in my secondary school we spent like every morning in prayers and worship,granted it is a primary school and not every Nigerian student experienced this,then things like evolution are left out of school curriculum,why?,health sectors,economy are mostly corruption.
2.colonials and European christian missionaries built most schools like mine(Baptist high school)but most Europeans themselves are no longer religious, they have moved on,so people that brought u the religion also enslaved you have abandoned both.
3.religion is the reason for most issues and even in cases where it isn't it is a symptom

Many scientific research came from religious backgrounds. I’m sure you’ve heard that Gregor Mendel, the father of genetics, was a Catholic monk. He remained a catholic monk even after postulating genetics. He certainly didn’t see any conflict between religion and science. Pasteur is another second example. Christianity does not stop his members from acquiring knowledge.
