Madu77: Please house, how will one send his Transcript to WES? Can I get their address so that the school can mail my transcript to WES? If any other person can help I will be grateful please because I have got HND in Chemical Engineering and going by the report on the thread, I deem it right to see if I can do my postgraduate course as a my wife is a nurse and can write their state exam to start working. Wellton: @zeleez I think EgbonBode have said it all. Believe me bro, you do not need to start allover like most people think. I understand Nursing is a very lucrative course in the US but do you know that health technology which is a field driven by ITand software development is the current face of healthcare business in the US today. Currently an automatum was issued by obama to all hospitals operating in the US to change their mode of services to Electronic Health Record (EHR) by 2015 and hospitals that couldn't meet up the 2015 deadline will face consequences such as decline in medicare funding & others

The point I am making here is that more jobs will be created in the IT and software industries. EHR is a software that allow patients access to their own health records, help decision making for Doctors, eprescription and referral options, the Nurses and Doctors can not manage this software. A hospital spent over 10million dollars to install an EHR, so you can imagine how important it is.

My advise for you is that you continue your postgraduate courses in any IT, software program because there is alot of opportunities there. Or better still take a program in biomedical engineering they are also needed in the medical device industries especially now that you have E/E in your first degree.

I had a smooth and successful interview at the embassy yesterday. Got to the embassy at 5:45am and at about past 6 a staff of the embassy came to announce to us how the interview session will be condUcted. We were asked to form two lines one line for immigrants and the other for non immigrants. After dat we went through the security checks and finally got a number tag that I used for documentation and the interview. My tag nos was B407. At about past 8. I was called to submitted my documents and by 9:50am my nos beeped I was interviewed at window 14 by a beautiful white woman. I did fingerprint and I sworn to say the truth. My interview questions. CO: Gudmorning Me: Gudmorning Co:pls can I take your finger prints Me: Sure. Later took my oath and interview proper. CO: what year did u finish secondary school Me: 1993 CO: why are you using two WAEC? Me:I did make my English at first sitting so I did GCE to make up for it. Co:what is your highest level of education? Me: First Degree CO: what course? Me: History & Diplomatic Studies. Co: are you married Me: No CO: do you have children Me: No. She now said congratulations I will approve your visa. Welcome to America. She told me where to pick my passport and how to pay for the UCIS fee. I wish everyone going for their interview next week all the very best.

tetomo: Thank Ʊ very much!My family had a successful intervie.Like ii said τ̅☺ be at τ̲̅ђe venue as early means if your interview shedule time for example is 8 am,Pls try as much as possible τ̅☺ be at τ̲̅ђe venue latest 7.15 am 'cos checking in of applicants for interview may be earlier than τ̲̅ђe scheduled time.I pray for as many going for their interviews this month shall be highly favoured and their Visas shall be granted τ̅☺ them.

nubian269: @Madu77 thanks for the reply. However are you suggesting that I shouldn't send the DS230 forms for the baby to KCC again? Secondly I wrote KCC a few weeks before my wife put to bed of the situation and their reply was the auto-response email telling me to fill new forms and attach all relevant documents. My wife actually put to bed a two weeks ago and like I mentioned I won't be current until January or February. Kindly help she'd more light on this. Thanx

nubian269: Hello forumites, I have a similar issue on my hands! I have written to KCC and got the auto response e-mail from them. I have since filled the forms and I am about mailing it to KCC, with the baby's NPC birth certificate and passport photograph. I would like to know if I also need to notify the US consulate of the new development. I won't be current until January or February.

Good morning to you all and we are highly excited to inform the house that we had a successful & wonderful interview this morning.

It is the Lord's doing & it's marvelous in our sight. I am very grateful for the exprience/advice shared on this forum. By the grace of God almighty we shall all end with shouting of rejoicing in Jesus name.

Now, our Itinerary:

Pre_interview Activities:
- All documentation were properly arranged with Principal applicant leading.
- Ensured the originals & Photocopies (Birth certificate, Police report, School Certificates & Medicals) are in order.
- We ensure no document(s) was missing & did a thourogh check before leaving.
- We had a review all the forms sent KCC & had a dry run interview with my spouse for consistency.
- We got the children involved by reminding them of their birthdays.
-We prayed & sought for God's favour & help before leaving home.
-We had a baby after sending our forms to KCC & we had notified them (LagosIV) before the interview date.
-We prepared his own DS230 form & presented it at the venue.
- We left home early enough & arrived at embassy by 5.45am and drove in with the entire family.

At the Embassy:
By 6am, we moved in & there was a briefing & 2 lines were formed for Immigrant & Non-Immigrant
- Were instructed to remove phones, electronic gadgets, oil, liquid, metal object but i was allowed in with my car key.
- Were instructed to please open your medical envelopes (All seal envelopes must be opened & failure to do that point may resulted in turning you back - pls be attentive to the instruction)
- At first point: Principal applicant was called & requested for 2NL, then we were given a slip for payment, blue tags & number was given to us.
- Another slip was given to us to fill in Principal applicant name, email & Address.
- Next we got seated & waited for security checks (Pls ensure you abide the instruction to do away those items that are forbidden).
- We moved inside for final security check (scanning machine) before we were ushered into the hall.
- As you entered, you will be given a number that will serve you for the day. Immigrant applicant were other to seat separately.
- We waited patiently until they called our number for payment - we did that in USD & issued a receipt (don't misplace it).
- We got seated & waited for sometime before they started attending to Immigrant visa.
- About six(6) families came this morning & first two families were granted.
- About few minutes to 9am, my spouse was called & moved toward the counter with new baby & i was called as well.
- We were told to raise up our right hand make an oath to say the truth & we did accordingly. All forms were given to us to sign & either of us signed for the children.
- Our fingreprints were taken. I was instructed to go & sit down while my spouse was to be interviewed.
- The conversation goes thus:

CO: Your name?
Spouse: Answer according

CO: when did u get married?
Spouse: Answer accordingly

CO: Where do u work & what is your role?
Spouse:Answer accordingly

CO: You had a baby after submitting your form to KCC & what are the proof to show?
Spouse: DS 230 form was submitted & signed there, we presented the photograph for naming, church dedication, photograph showing family members with us during the naming, etc

CO: Have been to US?
Spouse: No

Now the CO called me for clarification:
CO: Have u been to US before?
Me: No

CO: You have a valid visa & why have you not used it?
Me: I explained that i was to go for a conference but had to postpone to later date.

CO: She said CONRATULATIONS. Brought 2 papers & handed it over to my spouse & explained what we need to do. All our originals were returned.

Spouse: Bursted to laughter & we gave all glory to GOD for this milestone.

Lesson & Advice for Others:

- I saw someone that came with passport phoograph that did not meet specification. Pls adhere to instruction. The person was lucky & was told to go out & take a correct one.

- Someone international passport dropped from his enveloped & never knew only for someone to find it & return it to the security guys.

-Pls avoid anything that can put on pressure & ensure that you arrnge your document very well.

- For us, they did not collect the photocpies of police report i strongly advice you go with it on the day of interview.
- Stay focus & don't manipulate in any way & by the grace of GOD we all stand 99.999% of getting if you meet the requirement.

More gist later, i need to go - GOD us all.

Obatide: I Have a similar issue like yours, you know, and this was their reply:

Thank you your inquiry regarding your diversity visa application and Congratulations on the birth of your baby.
All diversity visa interviews are handled at the Consulate in Lagos. You may attend interview with your baby with the following documents: a completed DS-260 application form, National Population Commission birth certificate, International Passport, 3 passport photos, medical report, proof of relationship and visa fee.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us any time.

westcodes: Congratilulations, having a baby after selection does not in anyway adversely affect your application, you have to download the forms again and send it to KCC with the baby's birth certificate and your application will be updated. You specifically need the DS 230 part I & II form.

I did d scannin and my form was givin to me to sign, after d signing of my form d white lady started laughin,she jus ask my wat i did wen i was servin and wat year did i finish my secondry sch. Dts all.she gav me to form,d 1st one is wher to pick my visa and d oda 1,hw to pay for my visa procesin and it shuld b paid b4 travelin out. Wat i beliv is dis, d form u send to kcc,will speak for u, make sure u fill it veri well.above all,i giv glory to almighty allah and to u guyz in d house, one love.tanks alll

Like i mentioned in my previous contributions,

Adult = Consultation fee (12K) + Vaccination (2K) = 14K per adult (No medical record was presented).

Children:
approx 2yr = Consultation fee (7K) + 31K (Incomplete medical records/immunization record).

5-8 yrs child = Consultation fee (7K) + 6.5K(partially complete immunization/medical record).

Trust me, that was exact amout we paid for our medical. I cannot tell if it changes per individual.

Madu77: Plz When will 2014AF00085XX likely become current. Also I sent my form in June but was suprise to receive a mail from kcc that my form was missing after I tracked and saw it delivered. I resent another one on the 2nd of september and put copy of the mail kcc sent to me and the copy of the fedex receipt with track number as prove. I hope it will not be counted as duplication?
