@ Ukemeglitter, I sent you a reply just now. You can check your mail
ukemeglitter: @Madu77

I just PM you now
TravelRe: DV 2014 Winners Meet Here by Madu77(m): 11:10am On Jan 10, 2014
Hi Mr. Rule, hope u r gearing up for you interview nextweek. I wish you the best of luck in Jesus name.....amen
TravelRe: DV 2014 Winners Meet Here by Madu77(m): 10:33am On Jan 10, 2014
@ ukemeglitter am happy for your post. I still remember the P's "Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance" when such anxiety built up last year. Lets just put our hope in God for He works in mysterious ways. No need to be sorry because we are human. We can over react or speak harshly when their is serious build up of anxiety. Ps 121 and 23 should be our daily recitation. God bless

ukemeglitter: Thank you Lord Jesus for making the Bulletin to be slow so that we all prepare adequately so as to have no excuse.

And guys also know that is not how Well you prepare but by God that showeth mercy, but on your on side note this "Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance".

If I should say this we didn't go there to select ourselves, neither it was by our accuracy that made us selected but God Almighty that made us worthy for selection. So I personally myself am sorry for sounding otherwise on my other post. Am urging everyone to stay focused, never lose Hope or get worried cos Success is your name.

Use this space of time to improve on yourself and do the necessary things that can be of a big advantage for you when you get there and also gather hmmm... of course you know what I mean.

Peace!
TravelRe: DV 2014 Winners Meet Here by Madu77(m): 3:25pm On Jan 09, 2014
My dear, I read with keenness all the posts going on since the bulletin was released. I wish to encourage all with high case number never to lose hope. Before you were selected they have you in mind for visa(Obatide in Quote). Too, Naija has been withdrawn from Dvlottery and hence no rush for us as no accomodation for dv2015. Again, why build up too much anxiety, God who started the selection will perfect your interview. Just apply the P's I had earlier written, Prayer, Patient, Planning, Perserverance and Prudent. Spend less and save because the stages need money.
Nothing to be worried about. Keep the faith, it is well with us. I started dreaming of USA since 2008 with the US flag in my car everyday. May God perfect our dreams in Jesus name.....Amen

ukemeglitter: Hmmmm................

Its unfortunate for some of us that the Jan. 2014 were waiting for begins like this,

At this moment I have no words to say cos Minds are getting worried and boring.

And a very BIG question was asked by @energysaver and I think no one can provide answer to this question. And I ask God any hope for ushuh (People like me with HIGH CASE NUMBER)

But kudos to some of us that God has seen through, atleast they will not make this forum dull, but rather Success Stories shall all fill this forum, and I pray God to see us through also. Amen.

My dear, please go the earlier posts in this forum and dv2013 you will read of administrative processes which people had gone. It is just to verifiy more on your report, information, data and claims or anything to make sure that you are not scamming them. Just as the first person advised you, please relax and pray to God. It is well with you.

chibuzz89: Hi everyone..am new here..i just found my way here when I tried getting some answers about administrative processing..am a young man who got married about a year ago..I played dv2014 for me and my girlfriend(now wife) same day and after our marriage it was success on my wife end..it was a perfect wedding gift for us..we did all the necessary things and had our interview on the 1st of Nov 2014..everything went well and was expecting to get a visa that day but was shocked when the CO gave us a white letter stating that we are under administrative processing for 60days..it was not the best of the year for us as we have had plans..but we can't question God..its been over 60days and I wrote them which I got a reply that it's still under AP..am confused..please has anyone had such case before..cos this is really affecting so many plans in my life right now..i'd be happy if I get a good response to this...god bless and happy new year all
TravelRe: DV 2014 Winners Meet Here by Madu77(m): 10:40am On Jan 02, 2014
@My brother Obatide, You are indeed wonderful. It is a great idea and a creative idea to help all. I can suggest if you can go ahead with the new thread it could be called "LIVING IN USA OR LIFE IN USA" I mean I was touched on a post I just read on how somebody said that even your dad can eject you in USA. Everybody is serious and even my own uncle that just came back 2days ago has been telling me that life in america is independent. It is a dim light for me but am not scared.
If we have the new thread, like someone post earlier how the sister helped a family that was stranded to get an accomodation, also my friend called me that told me the hell they passed through in the hands of the family that accomodated them; let those who have crossed over share exclusively on the thread which will help those preparing to go to put their asses together.

Just want to say happy new year to all the members of Nairaland. May God who saw us thru" 2013 smoothen our path for favors, goodness, promotion, open doors and abundant grace in Jesus name .....Amen

Obatide: Greeting to Everybody
Thanks for the intelligent we have all displayed to analyze one of my posts, I duly appreciate both reactions, at least, it makes people to contribute and share their honest feeling, God bless us all.
In summary
1. It shows we are all one big family and need more information to succeed on this journey whilst keeping in touch as mates even in America.
2. Those who argued against creation of the new thread, said so not to abandon this current one while those in support share that too, but in addition, they considered rules guiding posting on Nl as well.
What prompts me to suggest a thread for ‘that’ purpose are:
I Observed that
1. Most of members who have had their visas approved are not that active on the thread unlike their activities before interview except very few of them. Do u notice that too?
2. This thread, ‘2014 Dv winners meet here’ deals with necessary process needed to have a successful interview
3. The thread; ‘Diversity visa immigrant? Welcome to America’ contains information we need after arriving America (I have been a regular poster there too, pls read). Hence, the stage between Successful approval of visa and Arrival in USA has not been comprehensively discussed like the two mentioned threads.
4. Most of 2013 people do try their best to assist on information there but work don’t give them that total freedom as in my personal chat with some of them to ensure they contribute regularly on 2014 thread, you will hear something like ‘You wouldn’t understand until you get here, because time is money here in America, but I do reply those who mailed memy concern is what happen to people who don’t have their mail or social medial handle but need such info too?
5. There is need to graduate the processes, which I believe will keep us together. Say
a. 2014 Dv winners meet here; process towards interview
b. Yet to be created thread; planning Migration after successful Interview
c. Diversity visa immigrant? Welcome to America; settling down in USA
My submission
1. I appeal and promise that this thread will not suffer as a result of graduated process
2. Having a graduated process will bond us together the more and give each segment a full sense of belonging
3. There will not be deviation from Subject matters of each thread; hence NL rule will be kept.
Conclusion
I have no inferior motive behind creation of the thread and don’t think NL pays those who have created topics before, so my motive is to enable us rub mind together on every stage of the process to avoid extortions and exploitations by Agents.
Therefore, I suggest that if anybody could edit this topic; ‘Preparation for Migration after Diversity visa Approval’ before it’s finally created, I will appreciate it.

Thanks and Wishing you all a Happy and Properous Year 2014!

Gbam, Oba the great, you are on point. Hurray to the guru of the forum

Obatide: Very much appreciation for taking to advice of people.
However, you may also be a great asset here, sharing information that could help others.
If you are destined to live in America, God will do it in a Miraculous way. Immagine one of our members here, who said he had been placing American Flag in his car right from his first car (funny? grin grin grin), and this year, God surprised him by making him one of selectees, he's due to be interviewed very soon and I believe that God has approve his VISA.
My own case also, All my 3 kids have wonderful and noticable American Names (at times, people make jests why I have to do that, even asking for the meaning of those names) and very recently, God confirmed his Word.
So relax, seeing that signs, God Has a plan for you and it will manifest at the appointed time.
Hope I dont board you sir?

okeymen: I paid my USCIS fees last night using my Fidelity bank VISA card. Any visa or master card issued by any nigerian bank will do. However if u have a visa card, u may need to set it up for internet use first. If on the other hand, u already use it to pay for airline tickets or to buy things from Jumia, Konga or any online shop, then ur card is already set up.

The most important thing is to get ur account name correct exactly as your bank has it in their system. No abbreviations, no short forms no ommitted or added middle names; it must match exactly. Secondly, u must use the same address that was used to open the account. Don't use office address when it was house address that was used to open the account and vice versa.

Once you follow what I have written, you will be able to pay straight from your naira account and the money will be changed at CBN rate with zero charge. In my case I paid $660 for 4 people and N105,600 was taken from my account which means the exchange rate was N160 to the dollar. Embassy rate was N165 and black market is over N170.

Now all I need is travel date and a plane ticket
My brother Okey, a big congrats to you and your family. It is a thing of joy and celebrating. Have a blissful Xmas and fulfilled end of year

I wrote out of experience but if you feel they dont reqiure Maths and English there is no harm going with credit in other papers. I have a friend whose relation was denied visa some 4yrs ago due to a pass in English. If thaz the case no harm if no English or Maths. He has B3 in Maths and the guy is qualified. He is afraid because he said he didn't write the Maths himself but another person

odewenwa: I doubt it if maths and English esp maths is compulsory o the rule says minimum of five credits it dint mention maths and English.

Adeboy007: mmm... dis is a 1derful thread so far.. Good morning my e-Family...... alot of Testimonies have been going on here.. I key to it... its God's favour upon us all.... a learner today .. might be guru tomorrow..... dats has already happen here on dis thread.... a case of Obatide dat has been 1derful on this thread.. i just decides to read this thread from page 1 upto to date... i discover dat Obatide is a learner, before, he ask people question on dis thread concerning his own case as at earlier, and now he is one of d guru in d house helping people.. dats amazing.. keep it up..... I have achieved so many things here on this thread and even i av printed out so many information ranging from where to get NPC and Affidavit format letter, so many successful interview, advice, and many more info..... I read all everyday...... BUT I AV A QUESTION which i no OBATIDE and other gurus can answer

(I am a SSCE holder)
1. My Waec result is 8 credits without Mathematics... Can I use it alone? OR
2. Can I use 2 sittings (WAEC 8 Credits without Maths + GCE 3 Credits with Maths)?
3. with d rate at which d bulletin is moving... as at feb bulletin is still 8700.. (NA WAOOO but God dey)... now when probably will I be current cos I hav a very High CN.. which is (165** (God is involve) I hope d Visa will not be finish before it get to mine?.... cos i can see d success rate and am happy and also i key to there success... PLS REPLY me and give me lots of hope plssss.
My dear since you did not have maths in the ssce, it will be wise you combine the waec. The rule is that you must have secondary education with 5credits english and maths inclusive at maximum of 2 sittings. You are good to go with a combination of two certificates.
On being current, my dear relax, just pray and start preparing for your interview; the visa will not finish. For you to be selected they have a visa for you.
Bravo! I have I have spoken well on your questions

adeadebayor: 3 Gbosa for the people of this forum..... My appreciation goes to everybody on this forum, u guys re doing a wonderful job.

The whole thing was just like a dream because I hv been playing DV lottery for a while now...my broda it don tey, wot gave me confidence to go on was dat 2 of my friends dat we used to stay together won n now live in us ...When God says yes nobody can say no.

In 2012, I played for mysef and wife, at dat tym we re looking up to God for a child. To cut d long story short, when d result came out in may, 2013 my wife was already 6 months pregnant. I checked mine...same story but when checked my wife's result i saw a different page then i realised she has won.

We filled and submit our forms by email on June 15th and got our 2nd notification October 22nd. All documents ready December 3rd and countdown to interview begins. I used d remaining days to prepare my wife cos she is d principal applicant, in fact it was a drill.

Interview day: We got to d embassy 5.30am our appointment was 7am, by some minutes after 6am security checking started, security checking plenty o. We were checked in and we collected blue card and payment voucher and I paid for 3 pple, @ d rate of 165 to a dollar, including my boy of 3.5 months.

After which we were called at window 21 to submit our document and waiting for interview starts, during this tym my boy was in happi mood laughing in loud voice then slept off. At 10.10am we were called to window 17 where we met dis young beautiful black America.

The interview goes thus:
CO: raise your right hand, are you prepare to say the truth today?

We: we ans yes together. The CO gave us our forms to sign and my wife sign for the baby

CO: What re u doing presently?
Wife: bla bla
CO: what course
Wife: bla bla
CO: mention some of the courses u offer
Wife: bla bla
CO: hw long hv pple known each other
We: bla bla
CO: when did u get married
We: bla bla
CO: what kind of marriage
Wife: bla bla
CO: show me pix
We: wife opening wedding album
CO: any before pix
Wife: shown three and even explain
CO: baby pix
wife: wife flip through christening album.
CO: bring out two white papers, one for visa collection and d other for guidelines to pay ucis fee.

The interview didnt last more than 10mins..in fact we re the first family to b granted visa.

Observations:
1- ur interview wil b based on what u filled in ur forms. for those of yet to submit ur forms, fill it carefully wit info u can defend. dont put anything u cant defend in d name of impressing the interviewer. They re nt after such. like the case of my wife, we didnt include her nd because her statement of result is not available.
2- get there before tym and adhere to all instructions.

This goes to those that hv done their interview. How do I get d alien number?
Congrats my dear. It is the Lord doing and it shall be permanent in Jesus Name Amen. Go and fulfill your dream in USA

Okeyman, Once more congrats. Such a wonderful experince. We better watch and pray as not to be like Peter of the bible. Great favor from God over okeyman, waking up late, almost sleeping at interview. Note all the people with kids are given much considerations

okeymen: Ok so this is how it goes... Obatide wakes me up at 4am to prepare, we dilly dally and lazy around till 6am before we leave the house and get there before 6.30am just as they started calling people so we we joined the queue and were last at the time and I said 'oh good so we can sit back and watch other interviews and have more to put on nairaland' but that was not to be. There was a couple that almost didn't show up with anything and said they just got a call to come that day. Well u know they can't be part of this forum so be grateful u are. We were just a few minutes on the line when the kids started complaining they wanted to sit down cos we had done so much the day before on quadbikes, jetskies and go karts (men Lag na fun place sha) so I cld not blame them. By the time we collected our blue tags to cross the road to the embassy proper, my son asked if we had finished cheesy.
The only person that wasn't so nice there was the lady we paid the $330 to. It was like nothing I had imagined. We were called to submit our documents and I saw the forms I had sent to KCC earlier right there. We ended up submitting 3 sets of passports instead of the 2 others are asked for but they returned all the ones we submitted to KCC. Please be sure u have up to 6 months validity before ur passport expires or u may have issues.
The kids and I were all asleep in the hall when our number showed...we didn't even know the interviews had started cos it turns out we were the first. When we did, we packed our stuff, carried the kids and staggered to window 16, where we met the famous pretty black american lady and after the oath and finger prints

Co: so u played the lottery urself
Me: yes I did
Co: highest bla bla
Me: bsc
Co: where?
Me: UI
Co: oh I love that school
Me: really? How nice
Co: its a good school
Co: where do u work, what sort of company and what is ur role
Me: blah blah
Co: ur wife?
Me: blah blah
Co: so when did u get married?
Wifey: blah blah
Co: any family photos?
Me: lots of them
Co: I just need a few...ok so pick up ur visa from blah blah on monday and don't forget there are holidays next week. Congrats and welcome to yankee and that was it Folks. Glory to God in the highest and thanks to my friends on nairaland who will commit their personal resources to ensure we all come out successful. So despite making a mistake as to when we got married (of course we corrected it at once) and looking sleepy and tired, God stood up for us!

Chiwuike my brother, take consolation in God. You are finished and I have read of many mails to you, you are a real man for coming back to say it. In 2005 Honduras embassy gave me a visa and tore it. The tore destroyed my passport and I said thank you Jesus. Later my brother insisted on going there and today he tells me that thank God I did not come there. When one door closes, another one opens. One day you will remember this, your destiny cant be tossed about. Something better will show up your way.
Takia and God bless you

Thanx wonderful my brother Okeyman. I claim and raise psalm 23 for you and your family in Jesus name.. Ya gaziere unu nke oma

okeymen: Amen nwa nne m. we are all on God's side so nothing to fear. yours is just around the corner too

we planned to spend 2 weeks in lagos and i always like to have my own mobility rather than depend on my hosts. besides the journey is good for the kids; gives us bonding time and a sense of nigerian geography and distances. as we pass though every state, we revise what they have been taught in school concerning the place.
