Are you better off now than you were 6 years ago before President #jonathan was sworn in as president after the death of President Umaru Yaradua? If the economy of a country is getting better, the people feel it before they see official published statistics. Are Nigerians living a higher quality of life now than before because they have access to better, good paying jobs, better healthcare, better education and infrastructure, power or electricity that has removed the need to invest in diesel generators? What is your perception of corruption in the country? Do you feel opportunity is being expanded for all or most of the opportunities in the land is limited to a privilege few who are in government?

Yes I'm better off. At least, I now have one more car added to the one I had before, I've been promoted twice since he took over, I've also acquired property in a choice area, long completed my M.Sc and almost starting my Ph.D, moved into a bigger and better apartment. It entails using the available resources among the competing to derive maximum satisfaction. This is because resources are by and large scarce so the ability or initiative of a consumer to wisely manage the limited resources available to him is what economics preaches. This explanation emanated from the believe people hold that economics is all about economizing and that economists are stingy. More so, economics seeks to address economic issues facing different economies of every nation on earth. These issues include: Unemployment, Inflation, Wealth distribution, Equality,Effective taxation and a whole lot more. As it is in the USA today, aside the presidential debate on foreign policy, addressing the key economic issue of unemployment seem to be the single most important agenda of the candidates. For those of you on NL who reason in this direction or have relatives and friends who share same opinion and perhaps see economics/economists as the study of being stingy should get a clue at least from this. In most tertiary institutions precisely universities, micro and macro economics is now taken as a general course. I am of the opinion that it should be made compulsory for everyone who passes through the university to be abreast with some national economic issues and at least have a knowledge of how it can be solved. One love!

Fela to most people is seen as a legend today not just because of his songs which was always against the military government,but also because of his life style. People go to KALAKUTA REPUBLIC on yearly bases in remembrance of Fela and his beliefs. Charley Boy should be left alone. if he chooses to thread on this path, let him be. Oh! i thought its only in the city of calabar. Power supply has not been consistent since the resignation of Barth Nnaji so pathetic.

Today makes it exactly one year since i got married.My wife was working in Abuja before we managed to work her transfer back to the city where i am. She took in five months after we wedded,she got registered for anti-natal both in a teaching hospital and navy clinic and she has been so serious with her anti-natal classes or appointment. I hardly allow her to do any tedious house chore to avoid being stressed up. After about three months of pregnancy, she started complaining of seeing blood when she is taking her bath, we immediately visited our gynecologist who gave us the instances that could lead to that but none of it was applicable to our case. Right from the third month, she had been having cases of threatened abortion but became stable from the fourth month and finally in the sixth month, the baby died in her womb.
she has been so depressed ever since and we had already planned on shopping for the baby this month but this is how it all ended. From those in the medical field or those who has had experience on this should please tell me what possibly could lead to this. we've consulted several gynecologists outside our personal consultant but they all seem not to deduce the real cause.
