Different people have different ways of expressing fear or nervousness.
I wasn't scared of dying or nervous... I was actually at peace with myself...don't know why I laughed..... the collective screams of jeeeeeesssssus and all that kinda felt funny....

The beginning and end of everyone has been written.

This happened a while back but Its still my worst travelling experience till date.

I boarded a "small" bus (i will not name the company) heading to lagos. I was coming from delta state and was really hoping I would make it back to lagos before 11am (max 12 noon).

About an hour into the journey, I succumbed to sleep but I made sure I was strapped into my sit..... I don't know how long I slept before I was jolted back to reality by screams of "blood of jesus" by fellow passengers...... of course there was tire screeching!!

At that moment, it felt like everything slowed down.... instead of screaming, I started laughing.... I had a hearty laugh for what seemed like an eternity before the bus somersaulted a couple of times...

Eventually, it all came to a stop and I was still alive. Still strapped into my seat. The lady beside me also survived but she was hysterical and when I tried to talk to her, she totally ignored me.... she would talk to other people but she wouldn't talk to me....

Help from the locals was almost instantaneous.
I was helped out of the bus and I had nothing but a small bruise on my right arm.
Can't say much about the state of other passengers... I just picked my small bag, boarded another bus and continued my journey.....

Cause of accident: I heard it was a trailer that ran us off the road. I was sleeping then

The really appalling part was that (1) the trailer driver did not even stop.

2) passengers from other buses were busy taking pictures and I heard atleast 2 people say "thank God ooh.. I was supposed to board this bus".....

2 * 1 = 2
2 * 2 = 4

it is strategic. You cut the supplies and naturally, frustration will set in.

They will intterogate him and he will give them very uselful information.

Drones following the guy happens in Movies.

The bolded is a slower process to arrive at an inevitable victory.
When frustration sets in, the dissidents will rob banks, raid villages and commit more atrocities in order to gain the very needed resources.
But if you trail supplies to various camps using drone -which nigerian government claims to have- then you can coordinate simultaneous strikes using drone missiles and jet fighters.
That way, boko haram suffers greater casualties and they will leave in perpertual fear cos they dont know how the NA got the intel.

u don't follow an enemy to its enclave rather u gather enough info and intelligence before u strike else more casualties wil be recorded

Looool... ever heard of a device called Drone
The last time I checked, Nigerian armed forces got a couple of drones.
You don't have to send men in to follow them when you can easily bomb their asses away as soon as you confirm that they're supplying boko boys

The army is not filled with dick heads. They should know that better than anyone. You don't expect them to give you details of..

The army is filled with belligerent individuals that have committed hideous atrocities. I have little faith in the nigerian army intelligence or mode of operation.

Of course, I wish them the best but I can only hope that these men getting paraded are not innocent

I totally support the army and the war they wage against insurgency but I often take stories like this with some degree of skepticism.

Instead of arresting and parading them, the army should have trailed or followed them (using drones or sending men on ground) to the boko haram camp they are supplying the cargoes to. That way, more arrests would be made and more evidence to prosecute these fellows.

OP, this is a very serious issue. Buhari seems to be making some effort to address recent cases based on Amnesty report but I don't think that will be sufficient. Wholesale review of all cases with measures such as public hearings, citizens' watch initiatives supplemented with some sort of whistle blower act may be required in the short term.

A total overhaul of training practices and complete re-orientation is critical in the longer term.

Hopefully, things will be set right but no one is paying attention to the armed forces and that us worrying.
The armed forces is still as truculent as ever!!

The mjor problem is that she now nags over little things.... she complains, screams and I have actually witnessed one of her feats.
I know is not easy but an understanding woman should know that men need more encouragement in their low point. Nagging just makes things worse.
