Na dem mouth loud pass, anuofias. Loool... any citizen of Nigeria residing in any part of Nigeria has the right to complain about or commend the performance his/her state government. Afterall, we are one Nigeria. |

ndcide: I don't think I will be against ambode. I'll give him a chance. Though I never voted for him. I'm wondering How he won the election.
It was a night to the election that I saw some gathering in my area, that I knew something was wrong.
Lagos can't be said to be enlightened and Agbaje lost the election. It just doesn't add up. Ambode won fair and square. Currently, he doesnt have my 2nd term vote though |

ABYSMAL WAS A PERCEPTION SOLD TO THE GULLIBLE NOW WE ARE TRUELY WISE. JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE STOCK MARKET, LOCAL AND FOREIGN INVESTOR HARDLY MAKE ANYTHING NOW, EVERY GROWTH ENGINE OF THE ECONOMY HAS BEEN HALTED, NO WONDER CBN SAID WE GRADUALLY HEADING TO A RECESSION, BUT GOD FORBID BECAUSE I HAVE INVESTED IN THIS ECONOMY SO MUCH THAT I WOULD EVER THINK OF GETTING SCRAP. So, would you rather have 4 more years of jonathan Jonathan performed poorly in most areas but did exceptionally well in some areas such as road reconstruction. Buhari is here now... the election is over. It is in our best interest that he suceeds. |

biafranking: re you now regretting it? We gave you people jimmy agbaje,a credible, eligible and hardworking governor to vote for. You all desist to vote for him because ndigbos sided him. For over 5months now, lagos state is dry and it look like we have no governor in the state. My friend, this is what tribalism and party choice can cost the people a quality and vision leader. We need to be careful in making our choice of leaders. I pray the lagos state governor wake up from his slumber and get to work or lagos state development will be slow as osun state if ultimate steps is not taken. Southwest wake up Wake up o.
To your tent oh israel.. The bolded got me laughing. Igbo people supported jonathan out of teibal semtiments despite his abysmal records within the past 6 years. If agbaje couldn't handle a campaign, na lagos state he wan handle ? Besides, agbaje could've been worse off. |

I voted for ambode but with the way things are going, I am beginning to regret my decision. Do we even have a governor in lagos state?
Little to no public appearance, zero engagement with the citizens and zero updates on the affairs concerning lagos. Zero projects commissioned and zero projects embarked on.
In the best interest of everyone, I pray he trumps the positive records of fashola. Right now, ambode doesn't have my second term vote. |

I once worked with a big private firm that placed me on probation for 6 months with a starting salary of N40k and later upgraded it to N120k after confirmation. I know some banks that do this too. Lucky you!! Back then, my probation was 160k. My retainer was 180k (after tax) Awon baddest guys |

Rumpelstiltskin: Is it a job that will provide opportunity for advancement? Do you have a passion for the job you're being offered? If you eventually get admitted, can you 'conveniently' finance your Master programme?
The decision is up to you to make. Just remember that the master degree programme will always be open to you but the job may not, considering the current situation of the country. A bird at hand is worth fifty in the bush. Wish you the best in your endeavours! Except a federal or state job, i dont think any company that starts you up with 60k would have room for advancement. This opinion is largely based on my personal experience and years of being in the corperate world. |

It goes a long way to play the fool in the midst of those low self esteem individuals whose only claim to power and success is their ak 47 and their black uniforms. If i have a loose change, i often give them since they are perpetual beggars and im a perpetual winner!!

Health › Re: How Fast Food Restaurants Land Nigerians In Hospitals by magicminister: 10:11am On Sep 26, 2015 |
I have been a victim of food poisoning numerous times. The thing i noticed is that most of these "poison" centres will refuse to show you their kitchen if you request to see it. Any restaurant that knows what they are doing should be proud to have customers over to their kitchen but that is not the case in the poison centres in Nigeria.
I used to live the fast food life; going to fancy and expensive restaurants and i paid the price. There was a time i used to fall sick every month.
Nowaday, i try to cook for myself and when things get too hairy, there is someone i invite to cook for me. The only thing i buy outside now is snacks and i buy it from the restaurants i can trust.
The situation is really appalling. In the developed world, even the smallest restaurants meets up with standards. The "street food" in the developed countries are also hygienic.
Everything in Naija just get k-leg..

GudluckIBB: Emiefele can go if he likes.
He contributed to the our falling Naira by recapitalizing Bdc segment. The Economy was stable before he came about recapitalizing bdc's and immediately after that exercise dollar jumped to the detriment of the Naira which made them devalue.
It will be on record that it was in Emiefele's regime that CBN devalued the Naira twice. He has not made any pissitive impact since he came in.
If you want to quote me, first of all, ask those working in Zenith Bank and they will they you how clueless he was when he was the MD. if only people like you knew what emefiele has done to save this economy from total collapse.... if you knew eh, would worship his shoes!!! Emefiele is a genius!! |

No one is paying attwntion to armed forces reforms. I opened a thread on that sometime ago. Everyone is screaming sai buhari and heaping praises on the president but no one is talking about armed forces reform. Our army, police, airforce and navy are power drunk, unduly belligerent and truculent in their dealings with civilians.
I know my voice isn't loud but I am appealing to the president to look into armed forces and prison reforms.
Do you know that your chances of getting kidnapped by ritual killers is slimmer than your chances of getting extrajudicial capital punishment from the people we pay to protect us.
Every year, numerous cases of armed forces abuse litter the media yet no one is talking about a reform. They only protect and serve the rich people who are in favour with the powers that be.... https://www.nairaland.com/2581225/no-one-paying-attention-armed |
Travel › Re: A Discriminating Experience In Poland by magicminister: 3:18am On Sep 22, 2015 |
pansophist: It was before my departure, I was patiently queuing about to board a flight from Katowice (Poland) to Eindhoven (Netherlands) at 07.15 am. While waiting, I was approached by a male employee who asked me about an unknown baggage found somewhere around the airport, I courteously replied that its not mine and I suggested that he should make a public announcement about it before passengers began to board the aircraft. When it was my turn to board, I approached the passenger service assistant and gave him my ID and mobile boarding pass but to my dismayal, he explicitly stated that I will not be allowed to board while asking me to wait at the corner for his boss to handle the situation. He wouldn’t listen to my subsequent plea as he rudely separated me from the curiously observing queuers, as I waited for the arrival of his supposed boss.
Three minutes later, the middle-aged boss arrived and as expected, collected my ID and interrogated me with the same question asked by the previous vicenarian employee, I repeatedly told him that I knew nothing about the baggage but he wouldn’t accept this as the truth. He further claimed that I was caught on camera dropping the bag and he would release the video to me if I keep denying, I was amazingly shocked at such magnitude of lie against me. I ask if I could see the video, wondering if I was mistaken for someone else, He agreed to show me but inferred that I wont be able to board the flight because after the nitty-gritty, the plane would be late on arrival, then its was dawm on me that this is getting serious. I replied angrily that if I miss my flight, I would sue the legal-person(s) involved. On hearing this, he immediately facilitated my boarding and directed me to the boarding gate. I asked again if I could see the video where I was caught dropping the baggage but he refused and reminded me that I am delaying the flight, in an attempt to diverge my pending questions. I was vehemently mortified. As I entered the plane from the front door, I noticed the fear and irritation gripping the passengers due to my chagrin. I approached to my assigned seat number, the passenger next to me wanted to be sure if I should be sitting close to her, as she was scared. I have never been publicly humiliated to this extent before. Throughout the whole trip, I was filled with so much anger, being victimized, guilt, and disregard. I wondered why I was handpicked and accorded such degrading treatment; I strongly believed it’s because of my phenotypically dark skin as I am the only ''non white'' on the flight, since no public announcement was made to inform if someone misplaced the baggage.
I have been a denizen in Poland and I have never experienced such degrading treatment throughout my time there. This treatment created a deep hole in my heart and brought to my awareness the reserved prejudice deeply rooted in the heart of the airport workers who ganged up and treated me so unfairly due to my dark skin. It is expected of public workers to be competent with customer’s relation skills, especially in airport serving passengers from all parts of the world. This experience has made me unnecessarily sensitive as I was made to tacitly understand I would have to prove my innocence if I’m unluckily present in any mix-up situation, that I will be assumed guilty by default with the burden of proving myself innocent resting on me, that this experience is but a mere trigger of an existing presupposition. The most painful part is that my feelings were completely ignored and at the very least of my expectation, no apologies issued to the aggrieved.
I am writing this letter without prejudice, and all I ask for is that the necessary authorities should equip its employees with customer relationship skills and method in reaching coherent conclusions without subjecting anyone to an inhumane treatment, and also as a deterrent from this happening to subsequent passengers. Racism is alive and well. I would always advise any and every black person to grow a thick skin. i have witnessed subtle discrimination and obvious discrimination. There is no solution to racism and tribalism. The only problem i have is when i see white folks being treated like demi gods by Nigerian people when they are in Nigeria. It makes me really really sick and angry when i see my Nigerian brothers and sisters give preference to a white man in Nigeria before they even look my face or your face.Blacks have to unite. That is the only way! Lets stand as one.I might hate you but if i see you getting harassed by a white man, i will jump in quickly to your rescue. whenever i read cases of white employers maltreating and physically abusing Nigerian employers In Nigeria, it really makes me wonder! Can't their Nigerian colleagues jump in and save them? |
