Stoplying:I will ask you to be true to your name and stop lying. You did admit he actually said so but it was a joke. How ridiculous can one be denying the obvious. BTW, no where did I say the Obi sent the boys but that the boys may have been spurred on by his 'joke'. A person occupying such revered and exalted position should be careful with his words and not talk like touts and agberos. Truth's that he meant what he said, only apologists like you think otherwise. |
Stoplying:Really? Same way MC Oluomo made a joke with his own comments? How do you even make a job with something as important as one's life? Come to think of it, if it was a joke, I'm not sure his boys understood it else they wouldn't have beaten people going to vote Obi in 2023. Joke or not, his comments set the stage for the assaults Obi's supporters suffered in Lagos, don't try to downplay it bro. |
aswani:Or Agbadorians who physically assaulted people going to vote for Obi in Lagos, who called every good looking person Igbo and Obi supporter in Lagos. She could've been spurred on by the likes of Obi Rikwan Akiolu, Remi Tinubu, MC Oluomo, Bayo Onanuga and co who threatened the Igbo over their choice of candidate. Perhaps too, she was egged on by Wole Soyinka who has become senile as a result of the crumbs from Tinubu's tables he feeds on. |
Was the airport built to receive planes? It was built to hide/cover Umahi's loot and corruption. We said it then that there's no need for that airport in Abakiliki when Enugu airport is just 30/45 minutes drive away but we were called haters. What population of Ebonyians can afford to fly to justify the #36 billion wasted on that elephant project? |
ObaOfBeninNahMu:This is a thread that should've united Nigerians to fight these oppressors in power but look how you've derailed it. Why are some of you so unfortunate? What's all these fights between Yoruba and Igbo? How does it improve your living conditions? You stay online fighting while the crooks are at Abuja sharing our commonwealth. It's a shame how we the common people continually fail to get our priorities right. |
Did I read that Taraba State is paying the wage award? That's the most ridiculous thing I've read here all years. Who's the govt paying to? That's a big lie. |
Nailly:Igbo is your problem yet the north and west won't let you enjoy the proceed from your oyel. Onye isi mgbaka. |
What's wrong with Aminu Ado Bayero for goodness sake? He isn't the Emir no longer by the laws of the state. That law that removed him is the same that brought him in after removing Lamido Sanusi. He should respect his old age and stop overheating the polity. Lamido Sanusi quietly left after he was deposed, he didn't make noise, he respected the laws of the state. Ado Bayero should do same. |
thesicilian:I'm Obidient and I love Nigeria more than you sycophants. They spent #21 billion on the VP's house, subsidized Hajj with over #90 billion, spent #1.5 billion buying cars for a 'First Lady' not recognized by the constitution and so many other unnecessary expenditures but can't pay Nigerian workers a living wage but sycophants like you are cheering them on because of the crumps you get from their tables. Yes I'm Obidient and very proud of it |
thesicilian:We know you don't like Peter Obi but you don't have to be unfortunate with your life. He may not be a Messiah, nobody has said he's but you need to admit the truth when you see it. Are you happy that our president and governors and their teams are living in ostentatious splendour while millions of Nigerians ars going to bed hungry? Why do you take sides with your oppressors? |
blacknp:Unfortunately folks like you're the hypocritic idiaats here. Point me to one thing he said that isn't correct. |
ekhai:This shows how empty you are, shows how little you know about Nigeria but because you've a smart phone possibly bought by your parents you feel who have a right to talk. Was it Obasanjo or Jonathan that had problems with governors over saving money from the Excess Crude sales? Who led the governors then? Amaechi Rotimi isn't he? Isn't he one of those you called progressive but who ran the country aground with your saint Buhari. Please keep off an issue you've very little knowledge of. |
pharmagba:Obi speaks and gives you figures to substantiate his claims and he asks you to go and verify. But an olodo like you will prefer to listen to empty speeches like the one Tinubu presented today. Obi isn't out to tell you what you want to hear, he isn't out to massage your ego, he lays bare the hard but bitter truth which you psychopathic agbadorians can't handle. It's a shame I share same country with dullards like you who prefer the chains of their oppressors to people offering them freedom and a way out |
Judgementa1:If Obi is guilty as you claim and EFCC is delaying, you can package the evidence and submit to them. Stop beer parlour gossip typical of illiterates. |
EmperorCaesar:Oh! A Nobel Laureate who can't call evil out for the evil it's is worthy to be considered smart. A Nobel Laureate who keeps quiet in the face of the tyranny and oppression of the govt isn't my idea of a smart man. He's just hypocrisy personified and there's nothing dignifying about him. The Igbo hate them or love them can't be pushed over no matter how much dunces and dark hearts like you try and it's not for nothing that millions of them are making waves and receiving serious mention across the globe. |
EmperorCaesar:If the last smart Igbo died not too long ago, it means no smart Yoruba ever lived and it's such a shame the over 40 miscreants from that sad waste of Nigeria are dunces. I don't know how phools like you aim verbal attacks on the Igbo and when they return them in good measure, you start foaming in the mouth. |
illicit:And I guess only the members of the NLC political party will benefit from the pay rise when it comes. Let's suppose NLC owns a political party, what about its sister labour centre TUC, which party does it own? See how politics of religion and tribe has messed your brains up. |
unmask:Oh really? When did he come to this understanding? After he had issues with Labour Party I guess. For Okupe to have made an 'error of judgment' on such a matter as important as leadership recruitment shows he isn't man enough. Anyway, I know he's seeking for favours from Tinubu, it's his right though bit he doesn't have to sound petty to get it. |
TimeManager:A private residence? Jeez! What are you guys smoking in this country? How can a house built with #21 billion of Nigeria's money be a private residence? |
If he knew Tinubu was the best, why didn't he work for him instead of Peter Obi? Didn't he tell us then Obi was the best and deserves to be elected? Why is he singing a new song now? Very smelly Nigerian politicians. Come.to.thinknof it, what capacity and competence has Bola Tinubu demonstrated? What's the state of the nation now compared to when he took over? |
The governors are the major problems of Nigerians workers. To think there's/are states still paying the #18,000 as minimum wage in these hard times. 60k minimum wage is unsustainable but they are comfortable spending close to one billion naira on refreshments and useless travels. In fact I blame the very docile Nigerian populace. |
coputa:And whose duty is it to encourage production of more goods? Farmers across the country can't access their farms as a result of insecurity occasioned by banditry and kidnapping bit the govt can't do much to help. The govt need to stimulate production through effective and enduring policies. |
EmperorCaesar:After condemning the criminals, what next? Does it stop the crime? Ok, what the criminals did is wrong, thunder fire them and their families. They have been condemned, I believe the criminal act has stopped. The way some of you reason is very shameful and to think you even introduce a tribal angle to it shows how low intellectually you are. In Lagos and other major cities across Nigeria, manholes on roads are stolen but nobody has called the Yoruba and others names. Some parts of the North East (Taraba, Adamawa, Gombe etc) have been without power since May as a result of vandalization of TCN high tension towers but nobody has called them names. The solution to these crimes is proactiveness. On such a multi billion very important project, the least the.govt could've done is installing CCTV cameras to check the vandals. Be proactive and not reactive. |
coputa:Your customers are the civil servants. If they don't have money to patronize you, buy your goods how do you make profit and survive? The woman who supplies garri to my wife has been calling her since last week to come buy but my wife can't go because, you guess why. Now the garri seller is stuck with her goods. |
raskymonojendor:Change the 'topic' to whatever you wish, the truth remains that Reno Omokri is obsessed with Peter Obi who doesn't care about him. If Peter Obi is behind the strike, the. I think Nigerians owe him a huge commendation for doing the right thing. |
helinues:Which nonsense national grid? What's so special about a national grid that has left millions of Nigerians in darkness for months on end? To hell with the national grid. |
slim75d:So what would you have labour do? |
Callosobruchus:If they aren't willing to go on strike, why did they join? Have you heard of any affiliate of both labour centres that pulled out of the strike? Nigerians may be anything but I like how united they are on this matter, shows we can speak with one voice of we want. I want APC to win the hearts of Nigerians, I want them to be responsive to the needs of Nigerians, that'slhow much I want my country to succeed irrespective of who's leading her. |
Callosobruchus:A battle between LP and APC? I guess all organs of NLC and TUC like ASUU, NASU, COEASU, NUPENG, PENGASSAN, MHWUN, JUSUN, SSANU, NUBIFE et al that have joined the strike are all LP affiliates. Some of you prefer to play politics with the lives of Nigerians. Come to think of it, if NLC and TUC are LP agents, what stops APC from winning the hearts of Nigerians and putting LP to shame? |
Raskimonojendor:Nobody did as much for Jonathan as Late Prof Dora Akunyili, a woman who dared the cabal. Stop being sensational |
senatordave1:I understand what you're saying, let's see how it pans out. The days ahead promise to be interesting but I hope right reason prevails. Political prostitution is one of the reasons why our democracy hasn't developed. |
senatordave1:Did you hear the letters read out by the then speaker as written by the individual ex lawmakers? Anyway, I see your argument. You suppose the ex speaker must have tampered/destroyed the letters he read out that day. Well he may have or may not have but I want to believe those letters will be produced should the need arise. |
