He said Upfront, so this advise cant work for him... Your advise only works for applicants that got Medical request from IRCC...

Peace
EmeeNaka:
Print your Medical Request Letter and head to Any of the approved Centre and explain the situation to them. They will book you for a nearer date before your deadline. It's not 100% thing but I am sure they will find a way around it.

You can keep contacting the clinic or checking if you can be lucky to get an available slot for unknown reasons....

Alternatively even if though its almost impossible, you can liaise with someone you know that has an appointment for month that isn't really urgent for him/her...

Peace

Good evening everyone, please am in a fix right now, I want to go for my upfront medicals, however all the hospitals slots are not available till September, is there any way I can get it done this month. Please your recommendations, advice and suggestions are highly required.
Thank you so much.

Even without the bolded, an applicant can still be approved.. Click on this link https://www.nairaland.com/6567181/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/314#103458735 and read of the Moniker Kenthro's post.... No one knows the exact operation of IRCC... Peace
HorlarJP:
Anyone here remember that my female friend that I said we applied together last year and even did our biometrics November 2020 and my own study visa was declined this January while she was called for her medical same time and she did her medical in February I said her application has been on hold since then( over 4 months) no messages from IRCC and just today PPR dropped! Really happy for her because the wait alone na die, she didn’t even wait for an hour before she send her passport through DHL lol
What I just notice is if IRCC requests for IELTS and mybankstatement please try and provide it even though it’s optional, I think it gives an applicant a 90% chance of getting PPR
I didn’t provide it and my application was declined while she did IELTS and provided the mybankstatement , might not be the reason while mine was turned down but I think it will really help a lot to provide it.

use the Webform https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1. You can as well attach the slip as a mail to the visa office handling your application.. Good luck

Re-application is not necessary faster than the first application... We have seen on this thread in the past(2019) where an applicant's 3rd approved application took almost a year(11 months) while his first refused application took just 2 months and many more like that.. It can and may not be faster.. Peace
Perseverer:
Thank you very much.

Do you know if decisions for reapplications are faster than first applications?

The wait is quite something.
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by makano: 9:47pm On Jul 14, 2021
Not correct... Re-application is not necessary faster than the first application... We have seen on this thread in the past(2019) where an applicant's 3rd approved application took almost a year(11 months) while his first refused application took just 2 months and many more like that.. It can and may not be faster.. So you cant categorically say it is faster.... Peace
Thaiy:
I guess it's faster, as some checks had been done in the previous application, so the concerned area will be scrutinized, and decision reached.

It will end in praise for us all.

Canada wont impose any medical clinic on applicants... An applicant can chose from the 2 approved Medical centers i.e IOM and Qlife.. Peace
ogunleyesijibomi:
Hello house. Pls I need an answer to this question.. if an applicant receives Medical request, will he/she be given specific hospital where medical test should be taken or he has the right to do it any where?
I will be glad to read from you people.
Thanks
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by makano: 9:14pm On Jul 14, 2021
It should not, as we have seen on this thread in the past of an applicant having an EE profile at the same time getting his TRV approved..

And at the same time, in the past on this thread, we have seen a VO refusing an applicant pointing out in the GCMS note that the applicant has an active EE profile.... But several applicants that have EE profile have gotten their TRV approved.... So it shouldnt.. Peace
abaegbelu:
Hello house

Will going into the Express Entry pool negatively affect my chances of getting a student visa?

Thanks
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by makano: 8:16pm On Jul 14, 2021
So what will you say about February Applicants that have not even gotten Medical request... I want you all to understand one thing about IRCC, its not about the time you applied that determines when you will get your final decisions... Many factors determines this, but majorly it depends on applications and documents submitted i.e There are some applications that requires thorough screening from the VO based on the documents submitted and the information provided by applicants..

Another major Factor is the VO attending to the several applications.. All applications are spread across different Visa Officers ..As we all know all the VOs wont work in the same way, just like we have in our daily working environment where Worker A doesn't put in the same amount of work as Worker B or vice versa.. Also we all know that we have Junior VOs and Senior VOs, if an application is given to a Junior VO and he/she encounters something that requires him to escalate, he escalates to a senior VO...

For those of us that were very active on this thread during 2018-2020, we will remember the Lagos VOs were the fastest then, while 80% of the Nairobi VOs final decision were fast REFUSALS... So we should not make that mistake again, its not by when you applied but majorly by the documents you submitted and also the Visa officer handling your application..... Peace

You cant use the same SOA you used for your study permit application, if possible you will need to print out or have with you your latest SOA few days before you travel.... Peace
Alchemist01:
When i am travelling to Canada, am I supposed to travel with a bank statement for proof of funds again? If yes, can I used the same one that I used during my study permit application or I need to go and collect the latest bank statement?

Note that I have already started classes and paid full tuition for spring/summer semester.

Something might have caught their attention on the information you provided and also the documents you submitted, so your background check is on "close marking". Once they are done with that, your Eligibility should change back to "We are reviewing if you meet the Eligibility requirements". PEACE
EmeeNaka:
I just got a taste of ill luck today. Yesterday, I received a message that my Program at Hanson-Bramptom Campus for Cambrian College has suspended their Postgraduate Program for Fall,2021 and the school revoked my previous acceptance letter and issued new letter. The new letter is still the same thing with the previous in most things except the tuition fee which reduced by about 6000CAD and Internship hours reduced to 105hours from 300hours in previous and Campus which changed from Hanson-Bramptom to Sudbury Campus.
So I forwarded the new LOA through Webform and today,in less than 24hrs, I got an update, my Eligibility Review Changed From "We are reviewing if you meet the Eligibility requirements" to " Your Application is in progress, we will inform you when we begin your eligibility review".
So, it means my application has started afresh or what exactly does it mean?

Sorry about this bro, I still talked about the risk of using agents some days back... Those people are just out to make money from desperate and innocent peeps that wanna travel out by all means... Nothing Good comes easy, the information on this thread is enough for anyone to get his or her visa... USING AGENTS IS A BAD MOVE.. Once you are banned for misinterpretation, it is your name that will be on Canada blacklist and not the agents name.. Please let us put in the handwork by reading all this information here and apply by yourself.. It will end in praise... PEACE

How do you mean it wont be enough? Didn't you submit SOA with your application when applying? Or the money in that account isn't enough? I am just asking to know why you are worried... If you can't give a convincing reason than just being worried, then I will advise you shouldn't send any additional SOA if they didn't ask for it... If IRCC need additional documents from an applicant, they will ask.... So don't be too forward submitting what they didn't ask from you.... Like I said earlier, if you don't have a genuine or convincing reason than being worried, please do not submit, If they need additional documents as regards ur finances, they will contact you... Peace

1. Did they ask for it?
2. Did you order for GCMS note and saw in the note where the VO was having issue with the Statement of funds you submitted with your application?
3. What's your reason for uploading additional statement of funds without them asking for it? If your answer to question 1 and 2 is NO, I will advise you calm down until they ask for it or until you see in your GCMS that they are presently having issue with your Statement of funds in your ongoing application... Peace

I don't know about now, but as at early 2020.. I know of some ma peeps who didn't pay a dime for school fees prior to getting to Canada and they were allowed entry into Canada... So far you have enough money in your SOA to pay your full school fees and take care of yourself all though your stay in Canada, that shouldn't pose a problem for you.... Anyone that has been in this condition of recent can also share their experience.. Peace
Yusufibrahimde7:
Hello everyone,

A quick question

In a case whereby one arrive at the Port of entry of a Canadian airport waiting to be issued a study visa .if the immigration officer asks for a tuition fee receipt and you get to tell him or her you haven't paid can that cause anything?
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by makano: 2:26pm On Jul 13, 2021
Go to the clinic and explain to them with proof, They should get a favorable date for you because most of the peeps that have already gotten appointment with them are peeps that wanna do "Upfront Medicals". So I believe they will take you as priority since IRCC sent you a medical request and not upfront... So go to the clinic explain to them politely, I believe they will give you a closer date.. Peace

You people using agents are just putting your application at risk.... This payment is something you can do yourself with the abundance of information on this thread... I don't think your agent will wanna allow you do it since he/she started the application in the first place, try and convince your agent that the payment is something you can do yourself... Do not jeopardise your application all in the name of agents.. Peace

QLife and IOM are the only two approved IRCC medical centers... Qlife charges 40k and IOM charges 45K( Except there are recent updates on the charges on any of the Medical center).. Both medical centers are very good.. You can book your appointment for the next available date from either of the medical centers, the earlier you book an appointment, the better.. Cheers

He was refused based on his home tie, his purpose of visit, Financial and personal assets... A well constructed and detailed SOP/LOE will resolve all these refusal reasons mentioned here, so far you can proof that you posses all of the requirements to tackle the mentioned reasons.... But I will suggest you order for his GCMS notes so we know the detailed reasons he was rejected.. Peace

Get another SOA from your bank as the previous one is no more valid..

you can submit same original documents you submitted in your previous application(They already have your documents with them though) but you have to submit another Statement of account..

Their is no harm doing an upfront medical, go ahead and book an appointment to do your medicals in any of the IRCC approved medical centers, they will upload your result to IRCC and you will also upload the slip(Optional) that will be given to you at the clinic via Webform and Email..

Even if IRCC wanna prompt you for medical request, instead they will update your medicals to pass... Peace

Good day house,
My first application was refused in May. I obtained my gcms notes and want to reapply.

Unfortunately , you as the applicant, you need to submit your statement of account.. You cant escape it... If you do not have the required amount in your SOA now, I will advise you wait and try and work on your statement of account, when that is done, then you can apply.... PEACE

They have received it.. Most times they do not reply messages sent via webform.. So far you have sent a webform with your correct details to them, then be rest assured they have received it.. To confirm this, you can order your GCMS notes much later and you will see that the GCMS note will capture your message.... Although there is no harm in sending more messages to them if you feel to do so..... Peace
