Since your inner man is pushing you to take the action and uve not had issues with any immigration laws of the countries you have visited in the past, then no harm in doing so.. Here is the link to the webform.. https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx Peace
Kriptune:
My guts keep telling me to include it cos it is solid. I didn’t over stay my visas and had no issues during my duration of stay.

Please how can I send a web form to the visa office in Lagos
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by makano: 3:44pm On Jun 29, 2021
it doesn't affect anything.. Just that your application will go through the regular/Normal timeline.. Of recent we saw an applicant who didn't submit any document or reply to the NSE request and he/ she got PPR after waiting for months(Regular Timeline).. You ignoring NSE doesnt lead to refusal.. Peace
dyce101:
Good afternoon boss

I actually ignored the NSE I didn’t submit Any document

While u await response from Frank, If u insist on including ur previous travel history, u can go ahead by sending a WEBFORM to the respective Visa office handling your application. Most times travel history really helps cos this tells the Visa officer that you aint a threat to their country especially if you havnt disobeyed any immigration rules in the previous countries you have visited.. But my personal opinion is adding or including anything now might not make a difference cos am sure the Visa officers are in the final stage of your application, since you said u are an April applicants and we have already seen in the past 3 days that May applicants are already getting their final decisions from the embassy.. But Like I said, if ur inner spirit is pushing u to include your previous travel hsitories, please go ahead by sending them a webform.. Peace
Kriptune:
Hello Frank,
I’m a first time applicant and I’m yet to get a reply from the embassy since I submitted my biometrics in April.

I didn’t include my travel history in my old international passport, and I have over 14 pages of stamps from my different travels between 2014 and 2016, with a One year resident permit.

What do you advice I do. Is there a way I can use this to assist my application at this stage?

You will receive a notification that you have a message/update in your profile, but when you open your profile, no message or update.. But in some days/weeks you will actually get an update in your application.. Ghost update is a sign of things to come with your application. Peace
jfrazzy:
Massive congratulations
But how did you know you had a ghost update .. make us understand ghost update
I submitted since October 31st 2020..

Yes you can apply for a PGD, many schools in Canada admit students without writting IELTS, make Google your friend in knowing these schools... Peace

Hello everyone. Please just a quick one: I want to start my application for study permit and I have just few questions to set me in the right path.
1. I finished from coutonu university but I’m from Nigeria.
2 I studied international relations.
My questions now are:
Can I still go for PGD in Canada and if yes what are the schools that I can apply to without the IELTS or any English exam. Thank you

Since IOM has informed you that they have sent it to IRCC, I believe IRCC would have received it and your medicals will be updated soon... So you don't need to send another Web form immediately. But if your Medicals hasn't been updated to pass in the next 1 month, then you can send a reminder through a Web form with the attachment of your e-medicals ... Peace
Freebands01:
Did my medicals on June 1 and I uploaded e medicals receipt on webform to ircc. IOM sent me a message 2days ago that it has been sent to Ircc also. Do I have to keep sending webform with e-medicals till they have my medicals updated or what?

It's better you tell them the actual truth, tell them the exact reasons why you were refused previous Schenfen visa without adding to it or subtracting from it, if there is space on the form for you to give the detailed explanations, you can go ahead. But if not, just let them know you have been refused visa in another country, and give a detailed explanation in your LOE... Peace.
sslooss:
Good afternoon everyone,

What details should be provided to explain previous Schengen study visa denial in the imm1294e form for the question 'Have you ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country or territory?'

Thank you!

Upload it through the webform, with detailed explanation and information as regards your application... In addition, you can also send it via email to the respective email addresses... Peace

Can I upload the new data page via the "upload additional documents" button on the portal? Or should I do it via Web form?

What was the reason for your ban? Normally Canada won't issue you a study Visa knowing fully well you are still under a travel ban to a country like the UK... If your ban duration had expired, it would have been better cos you may still have a chance but unfortunately you are still under a ban by a top country.. You can go ahead and try your luck tho, explain everything to them and tell them the actual truth cos even tho u don't disclose the whole truth to them, they will still find out when doing their background check on your application and that will even make it worse for you making them ban you from Canada.. So thread with caution.. Peace
PaPaJayden:
A big congrats to those who secured their study permits.

House please I have a question and would appreciate it if anyone can give an opinion on it.

I applied for a tourist visa (temporary permit) to the UK in 2016. However, due to some mistakes (knowingly and unknowingly), I got banned for 10 years by the UK.

Now to the point, my question is if I applied to Canada for a study permit, disclosing fully what transpired in my previous UK application, would I stand any chancehuh?? or should I not just botherhuh

Medical request doesn't fasten ur application, I know peeps that did their Upfront medicals which was passed the next month and they got a decision 11 months after... 2019 June Peeps will tell u more.. Peace
shupy:
It is naa, considering there are still some applicants from last year awaiting decision. I don't what it is, but it would take something special for a Nigerian applicant to get a medical request within a month.

NB: Go and do upfront medicals to avoid another delay in the process.

There are no consequences not attaching SOP, as we have seen in previous parts of this thread(I think part 12 or 13) where few got their visas without submitting any SOP. But the truth be told, you stand a better chance attaching an SOP if u are a 1st time applicant and an LOE if u are an existing applicant.. All documents speaks about the applicant, but SOP speak more of you in your absence to the VO.. So u can actually get ur visa without an SOP, but I will advise you write and attach one.. Peace
BeingAkorede:
Hi guys, I've been following this thread for some months but my application has been submitted earlier.

So, my question is that, what is the consequences of not attaching SOP for study permit?

How do you mean Certificate course, do you mean OFC? If So, please dnt even think of doing that cos it does nt show career progression.. U already have a Master degree and u wanna go for a certificate course ? That is a straight and big refusal ..... Except you hide the fa t that u already have a Maters degree, which I dnt advise you do, cos u just have to put down the whole truth to this VOs... Peace
newmoney133:
Thanks for the reply.I have masters in business administration but I want to change to healthcare which is a certificate course.
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by makano: 5:12pm On Jul 29, 2020
1st and foremost , before answering ur questions..If you take this Mindset of you getting tired of Nigeria to ur application, am afraid it will lead to a refusal... Al.ost everybody here share ur mindset, but never put it to this VOs that u are tired of Nigeria.. i.e dnt in anyway put that down in ur SOP or LOE.. Now to answer ur questions.
1. Yes you can change career path, but its a vert difficult task, you will need to extraordinarily convince the VO why u are changing career with valid and sensible reasons or points.. U need a lot of convincing here.

2. Waec is nt compulsory for evaluation by WES again, unlike some months back that it was.. Evaluate ur highest degrees and u good to go..

3. Yes, you can.. I wanna assume you going for a Masters degree since u already have a PGD...
Thats what I can input for now, or her gurus can contribute... Peace
newmoney133:

Thanks for your reply.. Please if I should be the principal applicant , is there need for her to evaluate her credentials or it's just her IELTS score I need ?
Vee2209:
She can evaluate just her ND, which is recognised as a 3year diploma degree but does she have the necessary work experience to be the principal applicant? Can she prove it? If otherwise, you should be the principal applicant cause of your years of experience. As it is, the only leverage she has is her age but work experience is necessary when applying for FSW. I suggest you use the CRS calculate to calculate the points for both your cases.
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by makano: 5:57pm On Jul 21, 2020
Hello house,
Please I need a clarification on something. I am a graduate with a working experience of 5 years, while my wife is still a student but in her her finals. Presently she is at home because of what is presently happening i.e The lock-down that has prevented schools from re-opening, and it does not look like schools are opening anytime soon, and honestly speaking I dont think I can actually wait cos we dont know the exact time schools will re-open. She has her OND already, and she is suppose to be done with her HND by October but I dnt think that is possible due to the current situation of things.
Now my questions are.
1. What can we do in a situation like this, cos I understand one has to evaluate 2 or more certificates. How can we get an additional certificate to add to her OND.
2. Who stands a better chance of being the primary applicant.. I am in my early 30s and she is in her not too late 20s.
And any other advise you can give as regards our situation will be appreciated please.. Thank You

Hello thanks for your response, I actually picked 1 or 2 things. But I have questions to ask, 1. I have a first degree and also a BCS professional certificate, if I want to evaluate ma credentials with WES, is it just the BCS I will evaluate of both.. Thanks
niyogeol:
To the best of my knowledge, how you qualified for your degree is not something IRCC is interested in. What they are interested in is that you have the qualification and any education credential assessment body like WES, IQAS etc can evaluate it as Canadian equivalent to same degree that is obtainable in Canada.

So all things been equal, your MBA should fly. And in this case, it is only your MBA you'll need to evaluate as it is your highest qualification. Cheers.

Hello, thanks for your response, I actually picked 1 or 2 things.. But please I have further questions, 1. In ur write up u said ND/HND - High.. please does this mean a Polytechnic graduate does nt need a Masters or professional certificate for WES? 2. Is CIPM exam recognised by WES cos I didn't see it amongs the exam you listed.. I will appreciate your response.. Peace

@cocococo, I remember this moniker from way back of this thread, say part 3 or 4. You were the same person who tried to discourage everyone in the thread then. Well, I guess like all those who stood firm to say they had made up their mind, you also have found reasons to believe now. - WELCOME HOME Bro/Sis

Well, we all know the "a friend of mine", "my friend" style of asking question.

Let me bring you up to speed, and to answer your question with my own as an example.

Within that period and now, I actually took the advise from the thread then, and enrolled at NOUN for my MSc, got the Certificate in March of 2019, did the WES evaluation between June and September of last year, and as at a month ago, my application had been approved.

The answer is YES - WES recognizes Certificate from NOUN and the question of whether to evaluate both degrees, YES - you have to, and note that this is not because it is from NOUN, rather it is because it is counted as a diploma (1 year). - To claim 2 or More certificate, you need to submit the two certificates and have BOTH Evaluated. - PgD is a Diploma, thus you'll need to add the other Certificate/BSc to compliment and make it eligibile for the 2/more certificate, which is higher in point than BSc alone.

Below is the Hierarchy (Lowest>>Highest) for clarity/reference;
- Secondary School Certificate - Little Point
- Post Secondary School Certificate/Diploma Certificate (one/2 year program) - Small Point
- First Degree/Bachelors - Average Point
- 2 or more degrees (ND+HND, Bachelors+Professional/ICAN/ACCA/PgD/CIMA/BCS etc) - High Point
- Masters/professional (LLB with IQAS, MBBS etc) - Higher Point
- PhD - Highest

I hope this helps you to understand that life isn't just a flat surface and hope you have seen reasons why many of us who are here chose this path.

And lastly, I wish this inspire others out there to always give something new a try, if others dont believe in what you want - That shouldn't be a deterrent, rather it should spur you to greatness. - #StayPositive #BeHopeful

I hope this is helpful. And, I'll like to thank you for reading.

Even tho this looks like a difficult situation, it is not impossible.. She needs to get a course very related to her first degree or work experience.. And she really really need to work on her SOP, she needs a lot of convincing to do coupled with prayers.. I believe with this, she should get her visa.. I have personally seen on this thread( I think part 10 or 11) where someone in his 40s got his study peemit.. So she should apply believing... Peace

Hello everyone, a friend is 40, has only a bachelors in mathematics, has been an office manager for 18 years . Lost her job due to the COVID situation and wants to be a nurse now. Wishes to go to school in Canada. She will be leaving behind her four teenagers and spouse who will come to visit from time to time. No travel history at all.
She has a very healthy POF to take care of all expenses. Does she stand a chance at 40? From the VO's perspective should she be studying something closely related to her first field of study to improve her chances of an approval and change course while in school? or should she apply for a nursing program indicating that she wants a change of career and leave it to VO and God?
