sirthisthickkal:I am with you then. I thought you are the one asking another if he's a higher animal. |
sirthisthickkal:Intelligence compared to other human being or in relation to non-human animals. |
sirthisthickkal:Are you a lower animal? |
fr3do:What does Biafra mean, if it's not an Igbo affair? It must have a meaning; what is the meaning? And should the tribes adjoining Igboland refused to be part of Biafra, can it still be called Biafra? |
fr3do:Why won't Biafra agitate without coopting others who don't want to be part of the union? Biafra isn't going about it scientifically. If this neighbors don't want to be part of the union, and they don't trust you, the first step to overcoming this hurdle is to find out why they are sceptical about the project. You've tried this route before and it doesn't work, why not abandon it or research why it failed. |
fr3do:Did they think, feel, consider themselves Biafrans? I am now seeing some threads in the Politics Board of some tribes in the former Eastern Nigeria, all saying they're not Biafrans. Check it out! |
cjrane:Whose centenary did Jonathan celebrate, Biafra's? Flora Shaw (Lugard's girlfriend or wife), having been smitten by the love of Lord Lugard looked at all of you (Igbo inclusive), and said I'd love to call them Nigeria and it stayed. Nigeria was a creation of the spirit of love, and there's nothing you can do. In all the writings of Lord Lugard and Flora Shaw there is no mention of Biafra, not even once. So, he and she didn't know that. cjrane, pls be serious. History is not a matter of semantics or personal opinion. Don't come here twisting history to suit your secessionists ideas. |
cjrane:Yoruba are proud people. I've never seen a Yoruba claiming those tribes you mentioned. On the contrary, I've seen many Igbos in Lagos who've become Yorubanized and are claiming Yoruba. |
cjrane:Nigeria founded in 1960, you sure? So, the people inhabiting the space prior to 1960 are called what? Are you a TANoid? |
cjrane:And what makes you think I am Yoruba? |
cjrane:So, there was no Nigeria before the oil or what? |
Omooba77:Good. Carry on. It gives me joy to see people doing their jobs the way it should be done. And these group of people always seems to be happy, no matter what. |
fr3do:The UN Principle of Permanent Sovereignty over Natural Resources vested it in the hands of national governments to be used in the interest of their development and the well-being of the people (Nigerians) concerned. The resources you're even harping on as the reason for Biafrans wanting to secede are not even found in Biafra. What you'd wanted to do was appropriate the resources of Nigeria in the SS as your own. |
cjrane:Are these conjectures reply to my question or what? Are you suggesting that there won't be Nigeria after the oil? How sure are you? Are the Biafrans too not greedy to have included SS in their failed country, and the only reason for them is the oil? Why include SS in your country when they don't want to be in it? |
brightnelly:Mehn, I laughed out, very loudly. |
mymadam:It's true. It may happen. But one thing with such characters is she'll turn wherever she's posted into a garden. There's a quote which says 'When you're given a lemon, turn it into lemonade', and another one by Mary Engelbreit says “Bloom Where You're Planted.” It is as if these types of people know about these laws, hence their success, wherever and at whatever. |
Omooba77:I "liked" your post. I added my words to yours and also recommended her for promotion; that is, if the police authorities will listen to us. |
fr3do:What are the ways of breaking the country? Explore for us; the last time it was attempted, reports say that over two million people died. Is there a way to go about it without going through war and deaths? Is there in the statutes somewhere that spell out how the entity could be dissolved? Spell us the ways and means for easy resolution. |
frankyychiji:And you are clever by a quarter. I just assume you cannot counter the argument, hence your tactical withdrawal. |
dominique:Nothing but to reduce the population and destroy the economy of the region. Everything that one does has a meaning, but this one doesn't. |
tdayof:Then somebody should do something to discredit the source, Breaking Times since their intent is to destroy her or her father. |
frankyychiji:Newspapers were seized, journalists arrested and beaten, and an Israeli company was hired to spy on internet communications during the dark days of GEJ, but you didn't see this. It's just some two days that the Deutsch Welle correspondent manhandled by the GRJ admin was admitted back to his beat in the Villa. Many northerners were relieved of their appointments to be replaced by Diezani, Emiefele, Ekpeyong (the DSS boss), Arase, and many others, but you didn't see it as appointing southerners only, and northerners didn't complain because it's only you who knows when their brothers ate touched. And is it not too early to conclude about the shape of this administration. Buhari is not the Buhari of yesteryears. Not only should these people be replaced, most of them are supposed to be jailed, both northerners and southerners, who've served under the lootocracy of the Jonathanic era. |
NewNigeriaMind:People may not like to hear this, but there's a trust issue with the Igbos. The Hausa and the Yoruba don't seem to trust them. Why is that, and how can that be resolved? You may not believe it, as a northerner when given the choice, I am more likely to go with the Yoruba than the Igbo, and most likely the Yoruba too will prefer a northerner to an easterner. As long as this logjam is not resolved the unity of Nigeria, and especially the position of the Igbo (politically) will always be at risk. |
#WailingWailers
Is Buhari replying you? |
makzeze:Some analysts say it was dead and buried but for the over-ambition of Saraki. |
Would a northern girl, whose father is a strict disciplinarian, and a president engage in this kind of talk? I am really disappointed if truly Zahra will say this. Homos are outcasts in our society and for her to imply this is a tacit support for homosex, in a way. |
"Yet another northerner" as if you've ever said anything good about Buhari and northerners. Wait until the government is fully constituted so that you'll really justify whether it's lopsided or not. |
Good. Africans standing up to what is right. I like Jammeh's own when he said, we're going to deal with you (gays) and no white man will do anything. This shows that those Africans wanting to challenge our values are being encouraged by the white man. |
LeOstrich:So where is the lie that you accused El-Rufai of, if all you have is this as a defense? I know you're supporting Jonathan because he's a Christian, which makes you limited in judgment. |

Actually, she's cool all over... attractive & hard-working, according to various reports. Here's wishing her the best.
