Bollove: It wasn't the party that called the meeting kindly get your fact right sir, it was Mr President that called the meeting not the Party unfortunately the President himself is not there in the meeting
What we should ask ourself is what role does the Constitution place on the party on the election of NASS principal officers
If ACN could fought PDP in 2011 because of imposition of Mulikat Adeola's Akande (a Yoruba woman) to support the choice of the Opposition in the name of Tambuwal (who later emerged) . Why is the same ACN faction in APC imposing candidate on the NASS Why is APC doing the same thing they fought PDP against in 2011
Saraki is not over ambitious to me but when Tinubu started calling all shot in the choice of strategic positions in APC and Governance ..... I don't think other APC leaders would be comfortable.
We should phase out GODFATHERISM in our Politics and yes including Saraki as a Godfather in Kwara state. The situations are different, Sir. What irks everybody now is that Saraki is not seen to be cooperating with those we thought could better our country. It was so painful that he's willing to give part of his inheritance to anybody in order just to achieve his aim. Dogara did exactly what Sataki did, but his is not so painful and can be easily forgiven since the affair stayed within the party. As for Tinubu, nobody can deny that without him the needed ouster of the worst set of crooks would happen. I am a 100% supporter of Buhari but you'll have to give it to Tinubu; without him Buhari will never be president, as Buhari himself said - that it is to God and Tinubu that he owe his success. So, it will be foolhardy to say that such people should not have a say in what goes in the governance of this administration. Everybody sacrificed to get to this point. Is Saraki better than Tinubu, in terms of what is given to the APC and the change. Tinubu too wants positions of influence and mobility like Saraki. But sometimes you have to deny yourself for the good of all. Did Tinubu not sacrificed his VP ambition when he saw it would rock the boat? Should he insist, as Saraki did, just because it is his right? My friend Saraki is in for it, and he'll never know peace as long as Tinubu, Buhari, APC and their followers are dissatisfied with what he did; he'll never be forgiven as long as this group has loyal supporters. Saraki is plain overambitious, and we'll see how he'll control that house with nearly half the legislators believing in the course of Buhari, Tinubu and APC. |

Businessideas: Broken (Societe Generale?)banks, broken dreams, and broken lives, he’s a fitting heir to a dubious pedigree.”
That 'banks' should be in singular if it's only one bank except there are other Saraki-owned bank(s) that 'kaput' apart from Societe Generale I may be wrong though That line is poetic. It is figurative. Take the "s" out of the "banks" and you'll be left with restricted images. |

IdiAmin1: Mrs. Woman, how could he have appointed commissioners when your fellow enemies of progress in APC were busy battling his mandate?
Buhari has been given maximum support by people across several parties and affiliations yet he's still confused. I wonder what would have happened if he had met challenges by the people, the media and the opposition.
Comparing the affairs of small Ekiti state to that of over 160million Nigerians has shown how insincere you and your pals are.
Kindly shut up and enjoy the auto-piloted flight you are aboard in. How fair art thou? This is the real definition of TANism: For Fayose you gave excuses, but for Buhari it's because of confusion. |

May God continue to help you sir. They're banking on Buhari's words that past presidents and Heads of State would not be probed, not realizing that one can change his mind when the sleaze is mind boggling. |

That's not an achievement according to the TANoids. Achievement is when you withdraw N500 billion secretly without approval of the National Economic Council. Achievement, according to the TANoids, is to never say their beloved is a thief. No wonder. I now understand why GEJ keeps saying "Stealing is not corruption." |

A strong member of the Senate Unity Forum, on Monday challenged Saraki to name those who wanted to abduct him before his emergence as President of the 8th Senate. In a text message sent to Journalists yeaterday Senator, Kabiru Marafa tasked them to ask Saraki to name those who wanted to abduct him before getting full reaction to his allegation. Saraki had at an interview with journalists last weekend in Abuja, alleged that before the inauguration of the 8th Senate on Tuesday, June 9, 2015, there were plans by some big guns within the party, stridently opposed to his aspiration as President of the 8th Senate, to abduct him as a way of preventing him from attending the inauguration and personally accepting his nomination for the position. According to Saraki at the interview as widely reported in the print media on Sunday, he escaped the abduction allegedly planned against him that day by refusing to report at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel where all federal lawmakers elect , were billed to gather at 8:am for onward movement to the National Assembly. He said in the interview that rather joining his colleagues at Transcorp Hilton Hotel at the slated time, he moved faster than everybody by getting to the premises of the National Assembly as early as 6:am that day and hid in a car at the car park for four solid hours in a state of incommunicado. He said: "First of all, as regards the meeting (at ICC), on the morning of the inauguration, I didn't finish meeting until 4:00 of that day and I had got information that efforts would likely be made to make sure that I didn't get access into the chambers. http://elombah.com/detail.php?world=33581 |

Rilwayne001: I wasn't even talking about removing him or not removing him, my point is, he has lost relevance in both APC and PDP. No matter what, both party can never put their trust in his dealings. It's worse for him; the masses both in the North and SW feel he's working against their interests. He has never had a rest since that planned usurpation. |

The views of a contributor to SaharaReporters is not the official position of the management of SaharaReporters. What you're doing is like passing the views of members of Nairaland as that of Nairaland management. It is to avoid this that these institutions put disclaimers, which if I am not mistaken, SR too has. You guys should be very careful with the way you twist events to suit your schemes. |

This OP opines that he cannot substantiate the truth about the passport going round that Saraki has dual citizenship, and at the same is quick to add that SR is synonymous with blackmail. | This isn't good. Just tell us the background to your story and the position of the constitution on this. FP material (especially by opinion writers) should be like research papers, devoid of bias and trivialities. |
