Will you allow a doctor that raped a female client operate on your wife?
Thats why licenses are cancelled in developed countries.
But in Nigeria he just says he is sorry and its expected to go away. By that all you supporters of Kanu are terrorists since you don't see what's wrong with Kanu's views as many northerners idolize Osama then. |

Go and ask him nah, or you ask those that went to kill a man that was granted bail in his house.
In fact, the second part of my second paragraph justifies the topic of this post. Chai. That's why I don't trust you The bail was granted on certain conditions and you quite know that the terrorist was flouting them Remember, as the days to his court hearings were approaching, he was saying to all who cared to listen that he would go to Abuja and bring Buhari's head back to Abia. |

The main issue with an Igbo man is that he believes in himself and don't allow anyone to control their opinions, which is not the usual African way. The suspicion about Igbos are mainly propagated by negative media and rumours. Also, the reason why Igbos travel to other parts of the country is due to high competition in the east and I blame the federal government of starving the eastern region of federation government institutions. Just take a look at Kaduna state and count the number of federal government agencies/institutions which provides jobs for the people directly/indirectly but in the case of the east is all man for himself. All these are deliberately done to the eastern region after the civil war and no real reconciliation amongst the Nigeria state. There is still bitterness in the land and nobody is addressing it. Late Ya'Adua was loved by Igbos because of he's free nature and Igbos love someone like Atiku too because he's not a fanatic. No politician is a saint, but if Nigeria have one who after election accommodates everyone there will be peace in the land. Most northerners are being feed with falsehood about the eastern region. Just take a look at nairaland concerning ipob matters majority of news are fake and an average guy in the north may not know the true story because of the distance. So it builds more hatred. As for Okorocha he started well but due to greed and wanting to please the north always to the detriment of he's people he was hated. The thing I like about northerners is that they always fight and stand for their brothers no matter what, but that can't be said for our politicians down south. Lastly, from my observation an average Hausa man is very honest but to me it seems they gave the Fulani free hand to do a lot of things. While growing up I enjoyed Nigeria but presently things are getting worst, no love. If we should tell ourselves the truth, if we have a good leader there won't be any agitation. My take is Igbos travel to other parts of Nigeria not for lack of what to do at home but more because they can see opportunities to exploit and better themselves - which is fine. But there's always somebody at home fanning embers of an already fragile situation. We may have our grudges too, especially when our leaders were killed and Igbo leaders spared in the 1966 coup. We've forgotten about that, but in the course of discourse, we were always shouted down whenever we bring that up to remind you that we were hurt too. But what we get is more vitriols. And what's the basis of your complaints when even with the civil war you're not doing bad. The problem is never economic but political. And to be honest with you there's distrust of the Igbo in us since the civil war. We don't know what you can do politically seeing our leaders rounded up and killed prior to the civil war and yours spared. That's just the truth. But like I said, we can start from somewhere, especially with moderate politicians. As for Buhari and Fulani issues, we don't see what you're seeing in him and them. To us, he cannot deliberately harm others and still be loved by many. But we can't just abandon him cos we saw what he went through even before his presidency. The abuse on his person, Hausa, Fulani and Islam predates his presidency. What we noticed was it became more during his presidency. Another thing is, we don't understand the criminalization of the Fulani. They are warrior-like, prone to revenge whenever cheated and this behavior is exhibited even in the North. They live all over the North and West Africa, and their behavior is the same everywhere. We can't understand why the cry about Fulani taking your lands. How many are they there; and these are people if you've lived with them, you know what they see is not mostly your lands but the grasses on them. Even in the North they leave an area when grasses begin to dry. You'll be surprised when during arguments we equate them to Igbo businessmen, because they don't know or have any livelihood but animal rearing. So bro I've said what I know honestly. Another war as advocated by people like Nnamdi benefits neither Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba. That's the reason for all our abuses on him - and it's justified, cos he may not go for two days without bringing us or our culture to disrepute. Truth is we like to poke fun at each other, but we should also respect each other and work to reduce frictions in us - but we don't see that going well with people like Nnamdi Kanu - his incitements will only make things worse. There are times when certain radio stations, newspapers and TV stations wouldn't air views which they deemed offensive and can cause disharmony - but it's no more with social media. Sometimes one is forced to respond, and the response is not something I may want my Igbo friends to see. Maybe social media makes us heartless and unfriendly. In that it has done more bad than good Peace. |
Politics › Re: Observation: On Why Twitter Deleted Pmb's Post And Never That Of Nnamdi Kanu by MalcoImX: 12:55pm On Jun 05, 2021 |
Bassa1: On the much tauted comparison that Nnamdi Kanu is allowed to preach hate, bigotry and death while the same twitter is currently moderating and even deleting some of PMB's post, here is likely what is happening.
There is an ongoing scuffle to control narratives on social media and the current administration, as with most other things is failing at controling the narrative, despite all the resources available to them.
If they want to make it difficult for Lamidi kunu and his minions, If they want to make it difficult for hate preachers on twitter or any other social, there are routes to do it through the same platform but it seems they are either just indifferent or lazy, I personally don't believe they don't know how.
In line with their habits of trading blame when failing, they find it convenient to blame twitter for been biased. To start with, Twitter's or any other social media algorithm usually can't tell when a post contains hate, racism, death threat or the like but the algorithm depends largely on it users to guide twitter to fish out this sort of tweet/post. If twitter recieves alot of report on a particular post, they take action either by deleting, hiding or even suspending. Depending on how bad the violations could have been.
A simple analogy is like a situation where a person A threatened to kill person B and then the audience/on lookers watching the brawl call the police on person A to report his threat. The police wasn't at the scene, they got to know because the audience called and directed them there. They would most likely arrest person A because that was the information the audience gave them. It may be that it was person B that initially threatened to kill person A but a part of the on lookers out of prejudice decided to only report person A. So long as nobody is calling to report person B, he would most likely escape getting arrested too. This is how most social media algorithm for moderation work.
What this means is, Lamidi kunu and his minions would keep spreading hate and bigotry on the platform so long as other users aren't reporting him. Twitter's algorithm was able to fish out PMB because other users help the algorithm to detect that something was off with the post and the moderators took over from there.
Personally, I usually take out time to report inappropriate post when I see them. But it's almost impossible to do this to every inappropriate post I see because there is just so many of them. As a community, we should be collectively moderating our social media feeds by reporting inappropriate post when you see them, regardless of how insignificant you might think your efforts would. Collectively it counts for alot.
Twitter and the likes largely depend on its algorithm for moderation and the algorithm depends on twitter users to guide them to identify what should be and what shouldn't be on the platform.
------- Anivassa #UnbrokenOptimist Bro if Nairaland here can track your posts and even prevent you from using certain words, I don't know why Twitter can't? And if you say you have to be reported for them to act, who then reported Trump before they banned him? |

But their actions says otherwise. Why can't we all live in peace and love? Easterners travels to all part of the north to do business and live peacefully with them but yet they are not still loved. That's what we find puzzling too. You are comfortable and successful in all parts of Nigeria, but are restless. With what happened, it's difficult for the Igbo to feel inclusive, but it's a fact of history, not necessarily northerners' fault or deliberate. Only buildings bridges could assuage things, not hostility. But still we don't understand Igbos. The one who tried to reach out or can be understood by others, like Okorocha you termed a sellout and Hausa. |

I am very sure they will be happy if the eastern region is nuke off. Yet they shout one Nigeria while their actions says a different thing. People really need to wise up. Oga northerners have no issues with Igbos. If you don't have a leash on your mouths, there is no obligation to respond kindly to you. The terrorist and his friend pastor Wendell Simlin have been hibernating since yesterday when they're the numbers chemical reactors when the topic is Buhari.
Expect Namandi in a day or two when he regained consciousness to come disturbing us with:
'Nigeria is a zoo ...'
Nugriabs are animals ....'
'Buhari is this, Buhari is that. ..'
'Buhari is from Sudan ...'
As for fake pastor, expect some twisted logics on democracy and freedom of speech, forgetting the newspaper houses they were closing and hiring Elbit Security from Israel to spy on internet users in Nigeria. |

Faithful007: Nigerian trends have displaced the US trending topics on Twitter US.
This is a potential threat on the high handed APC government. Now anything that goes on Nigeria would immidiately trend outside Nigeria. If that's the case, expect the world to know about every mistep by Buhari. Worse still, what do you think will happen when IPOB and Biafran agitators begins to trend their videos of human rights violations? It will be watched on thousands of devices in the US and draw widespread attention.
