Guys, as i am typing this message, i am seriously sweating. Come to my rescue before something do me o! Wetin happen? Oya, listen: I wanted to create an Ubuntu Startup disk on a 4GB USB flash drive. The *.iso file is contained on my USB HDD (1Tb partitioned as 3 ext4 primary partitions, 1 NTFS). I somehow accidentally selected my HDD as the "Disk to use" instead of the Flash drive. Now I have a single FAT32 partition on the HDD. This HDD contains files (over 500Gb) and I really would like to get it back. I have tried testdisk but no success yet...(I ran analyse on the disk all night, d thing no gree finish o ) Has anyone been in my position before? or what can you suggest I do? |
Computers / Re: How Do I Solve This Yahoomail Problem? by Maleeq(m): 4:36pm On Jun 25, 2013 |
Viciyke: I run a cybercafe and i have discovered that those who use their mobile phones 2 browse (i.e. check their emails) find it difficult using a desktop computer 2 check their mails. The reason being that when they login using a desktop computer, their is this message that pop out "where did u meet your spouse, added 25th April 2009". This message is assumed to be the security question 2 d individuals yahoomail account but it isn't because it is a general question asked 2 only those who use fones.I guess you are running your cafe on a foreign ISP. (Or maybe a tunnel/VPN). The typical phone users connect via out mobile networks here in Nigeria. When they access it from a "strange" location, it flags a security flag at yahoo for they assume its a possible hack attempt into the mail. Thus, it issues the verification message/security question. The question, "where did u meet your spouse" was indeed filled out by the email account owner during or after account creation. The way forward is for them to answer the question. |

The destination email account's box is full! The status code, 5.2.2 represents the SMTP Status Response, "Mailbox full" Creating another email account as suggested by @wahihi wouldn't change a thing unless the quota is increased on NG-FMCareers@ng.kpmg.com or old mails deleted to create space but sadly, you do not control this account. @Mueeze This is what I get from all you've said. 1. You need to access USB external drives from within the Win7 guest OS 2. You need to connect to the physical network the Ubuntu Host OS is connected to. Here, hope this helps: 1. Accessing USB drives i. Download and install the virtualbox extension pack from here. Then install it from the clicking "File -> Preference -> Extension" as shown below: You have to browse to the folder you downloaded the extension pack. ii. Add your user to the vboxusers group, else you will be getting the "no device connected" message. Run the command below in terminal (replace maleeq with your username): sudo usermod -a -G vboxusers maleeq #not sure, but you may need to log out and back in. iii. Plug in any external drive to the USB. When its mounted on the Ubuntu host, select "Devices" menu right up next to "file" and co on virtualbox and navigate to the "USB Devices" and select the device/drive you just connected. (This can be accessed by right clicking the "USB icon" at the bottom of the virtualbox window too. The guest Windows OS should see it and install its necessary drivers. ww.dazall! Note: With the latest versions of virtualbox, you can simply drag and drop file to/for host-to-guest and vice-versa without extra configurations iv. To access folders on the Ubuntu host, @Muyiscoi is right, only that you dont have to explicitly create the share on Ubuntu. While your VM is running, right click the "folder icon" at the bottom of the virtualbox window. This should pop up the "shared folder" context menu. Click it. In the dialog that opens up, press "Insert" on your keyboard and navigate to the folder on Ubuntu Host you will like to have access to from the Win7 guest. When done, select the "Auto-Mount" and "Make Permanent" options to have its always appear as a shared network drive every time you start the VM. Connect Guest OS to the physical network @4llerbuntu has said it all. |
