A woman, popularly called Iya Korede, has been reported dead while passing the night with her lover at E8/266 Olola compound, Oje, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The woman, the Nigerian Tribune learnt, had gone to pass the night with her lover, Taye Asunmoba, when she suddenly became ill and later died.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Olabisi Okuwobi, who confirmed the incident in Ibadan, on Tuesday, said the incident happened on February 2.

According to her, one Chief Jacob Asunmoba, had reported at the Agugu Police Station that his son, Taye, had phoned to inform him that his lover known as Iya Korede, who was passing the night with him, suddenly developed a strange sickness in the night.

She added that the deceased died while being conveyed to the hospital.

The deceased’s lover, the police image maker said, had run away immediately the incident happened, adding that efforts to track him down had proved abortive.

The Nigerian Tribune gathered that when detectives visited the scene of the incident, no trace of violence or blood was seen on the deceased[/b]
