I don't trust the boys' narrative. Full of holes and spices with exaggeration especially when he said the manager called him a thief and ordered his picture be snapped, only for him to apologise minutes later. 2. No manager in his right senses will ask for a customer transaction detail to everyone's hearing. That's bull crap. 3. The guy did everything possible to avoid naming the bank, branch or manager's name. There was enough provocation to have triggered enough angst to make him name and shame but he didn't. You be Jesus?! 4. On his TL when asked what action he took, he replied that he sent a private mail!!! Nice attempt though. He won ample RTs. |

Klaasicworks: Source http://www.naijatechguy.com/2017/01/airtel-may-exit-african.html?m=1
https://cdn.gdn.ng/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Bharti-Airtel.jpg If you are close watcher of the scene from Day1, Airtel had no plans for long stay in Africa (Nigeria as case study). The did a cheap network expansion to improve the book values but critically ensured as many items as possible solely come from their partners in India - towers, cables, batteries, rectifiers etc. Airtel adopted a VERY low-cost network management solution and became pioneers of wholesale out-sourcing solutions giving the impetus to massively retrench it's workers. Of course, cost saving is a very good business strategy, but it's only if justified in promptness in paying contractors and partners. Airtel projects were a far bigger business risk than the combined risk of all other network players. Many indigenous (Nigerian) companies NEVER survived it. Investing in system upgrade while considering a total sell off might not be a very brilliant idea. Especially having already disposed of all its Infrastructure across Africa to American Towers Company - a Telco Co-Location solutions provider and an emerging player who seeks to rival IHS. Its sheer coverage is a very good in the books and will make a good sale. For Airtel, it's a win. Our poor regulatory system make us the losers by the mileage. Ciao! |
Education › Re: Katsina University Religious Regulation: An Illegality Taken Too Far by Mambox: 7:13am On Jan 23, 2017 |
God bless you. Tonye always gets a rush of adrenaline each time tribe and religion are at play. Already concocting exaggerated theories. A7: The authorities of the Umaru Yar’Ádua University, Katsina, have denied discriminating against Christian students in the approval granted a students religious association to operate on its campus.
The Acting Dean of Student Affairs of the University, Sulaiman Kankara, had in January 17 memo informed students of a new guideline for the registration of clubs and associations in the institution. In the circular, Dr. Kankara indicated that participation in clubs and associations, including departmental ones, were strictly optional and that no student should be compelled to pay dues. He also outlawed the formation of tribal and local government associations in the university. But the controversial part of the memo which made the document to go viral was the dean’s pronouncement that the “Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) is the only religious association allowed to operate on campus.”
After the memo was shared on social media, the university came under ferocious attacks from many Nigerians, with some commentators saying the guideline was part of government’s plot to Islamise Nigeria. But when contacted on Sunday morning, Dr. Kankara said that aspect of the guideline was actually targeted at Islamic groups which were beginning to mushroom on campus, creating division among students of the same faith.
The dean said, “Actually there is one misconception in the memo. But the fact of the matter is that in Umaru Yar’Ádua University, there is no association known as Christian Students Association.
“There is one religious association and subsidiary Islamic students associations like the Tijjanniya Students Movement in Nigeria, Academic Forum of Islamic Movement in Nigeria and many associations like that.
“They are Islamic students association. So what we want is to have a single union which will be the mouthpiece of muslim students and that is the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria.[/b
[b]“It has nothing to do with any Christian group because up till now, I have not received any application requesting registration of Christian Students Society. “And once they do that, we are ready to register them.
Even as at last week, we said the two religious group to be recognised by the university will be the Muslim one and one from Christian side.
“Up till now we are to receive any application for the registration of any Christian association in the university from any group.”

Properties › Re: Does Landlord Have Right To Break And Enter Tenant's Flat? by Mambox: 8:09am On Jan 21, 2017 |
akintom: A yearly tenant, who is occupying a three bedroom flat in a compound, that has another three bedroom flat occupied by the landlord and his family in the same compound.
The tenant has 3 months to the expiration of his rent. The tenant returned from a one week try trip, only to discover that his flat had been opened and strange properties packed in.
On enquiry from the landlord, the landlord's wife replied by saying - "don't be angry, one of my children had issues with his accommodation, therefore i packed his properties into your flat".
The tenant then asked how they gained entry (there's no sign of forceful entry), the landlord's son said - "i tried calling you, but no network connection, i then got a master key to open your door".
QUESTION :
What legal action(s) can be instituted against the landlord by the tenant? Take pictures with cameras indicating date and time (or download open camera for android). Challenge the landlord with your phone recording his explanation. Get a badass street lawyer to file a suit. You might just hit a jackpot better than MMM. Bonus: Lagos courts don't play with landlord issues. |

frankloloko: I just got home from a dentist , my 2k wasted for consultation and I've been from one hospital to another . I am really depressed I've bad breath caused by excessive drinking but I've been thinking I've hiv but scared to do the test . I am not sick but people insolate me even to my own workers . I only have problem of sleeping and it's almost one year now . I want to run a test on my body but not hiv . Hiv will be the last . PleAse what kind of test can I do to ensure I am still alive apart frm hiv test Hello, I suffered sleeping disorder for almost two years too. It recurred once or twice after being treated. Simple therapy: - Eat healthy - Create time for exercises - good and safe cardio preferably - Retire to bed early, the fatigue will aid the sleep - I was given a sleeping tab to assist in kick-starting the sleep - I continued the routine using the sleeping tab for 3weeks after which drug-aided sleep was stopped I have only had to use drugs again for just 3days when the insomnia sets in. But I've been warned to rather deal with what re-triggers it than use drugs. WORRY is the biggest single cause of relapse in recent times. Stop worrying. Things will sort itself anyway! |

Islam makes me: 1- Loath backbiting and slander 2- Be even more cautious of kindness to people 3- Conscious of saying a good word or just keeping quiet 4- Drastic reduction in listening to music except some old school largely cos of the nostalgic effect 5- Abstinence from alcohol
Still got a whole long list to work on which pains my soul. May Allah grant me strength to defeat my weaknesses. Ameen. |
