This consolidates Buhari government as the only since 1980 never to have shut down a media organisation. Arrest media men, yes! But shut down the organisation? No! Not even during his dreaded military regime. Gentle GEJ? O yes! He sealed radio stations in Kano (WazobiaFM)and Kaduna (LibertyFM), and even hijacked distribution trucks for many newspapers destroying the contents. Short Tenure Yaradua? Yes! He sealed the popular Channels TV. Others? You need not ask about IBB, Abacha and Obj nah. |
Can CAN probably set up a church registration centre to control the proliferation of the gospel? If they claimed they're anointed, already anointed ones should be able to confirm it abi? |

The Federal Operations Unit (FOU) of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) intercepted 661 pieces of pump action rifles from China, concealed with steel doors and other merchandise goods, which came in through Lagos port. The Comptroller-General of Customs, Retired Col. Hameed Alli, made the disclosure while briefing newsmen on Monday in Lagos. Alli said that the Federal Operations Unit, while on patrol, intercepted a Mark truck with registration number BUG 265 XG conveying a 40ft container with number; PONU/825914/3 along Mile 2 Apapa Road, Lagos. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the consignment was cleared from Lagos port. The comptroller-general said the truck was immediately taken to F.O.U. premises for physical examination and 49 boxes containing 661 pieces of pump action rifles concealed with steel doors were revealed. Alli said the rifles were under absolute prohibition, adding that its importation was illegal. “Such deadly contravention of the law is even more unacceptable considering the fragile security situation in some parts of the country. “Already three suspects have been arrested in connection with this illegal importation,’’ NAN quotes the comptroller-general as saying The suspects are: Mr Oscan Okafor (an importer), Mr Mahmud Haruna (a clearing agent), Mr Sadique Mustapha (accompanying the consignment to its destination). Alli said initially the consignment was said to have originated from Turkey, adding that there was mixed-up in the document which finally revealed that the consignment originated from China. “Investigation has already commenced and I have directed that the drag net should be wide enough to fish out all persons involved in the importation and clearing of the consignment, ‘’ NAN quotes Alli as saying. He said Customs officers who were involved in the clearance of the containers were in the custody of Comptroller Mahmud Haruna of FOU Zone “A’’ Alli said that the seizure underscored the determination of the service to enforce all laws relating to importation and exportation of goods into and out the country thereby contributing to the economy, security and well-being of the country http://omojuwa.com/2017/01/update-customs-intercept-container-carrying-661-pieces-pump-action-rifles/ |
The CBN has got independence and cannot be arbitrarily interfered with by the executive. If a Sanusi in all his regalia of outstanding brilliance and outspokenness can be shown the door, the dummy and stooge of necessity called Emefiele imposed by the past administration should equally have been shown the door even of it means circumventing the rigid laws. It's a doctrine of necessity else, it's a friendly environment for corruption to fester feathered by PMB's government. Shame! |
LOL It only takes witness one true case of demonic attack to know its beyond a simulation game. When a demon possesses of someone, it speak in an entirely different voice, you could hear a deep baritone from a young lady possessed. It could be speaking fluent Spanish or Hindi for someone who's never studied the language before. Where exorcism is only, one man of unsure faith can't hold a microphone to the demon, else he gets pissssed himself. The exorcist by Keanu Reeves is one good movie that tried to mirror the reality. May God's mercy be upon us all. sniper77: |

Chief Emeka Ofor supported: - Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida - Sanni Abacha - Olusegun Obasanjo - UMARU Yaradua - Goodluck Jonathan And now... - Muhammadu Buhari The more things change, the more they remain the same. Lest we forget, he was a member of Association for Better Nigeria that filed the suit for the annulment of June 12 elections. He's always been around. I'm surprised Chief Arthur Eze is yet to decide. |

The level of ignorance in here is astonishingly embarrassing. A crowd of youth who don't read and bandwagon mob intelligence in arrogance has made them almost unteachable. The shamelessness with which we flaunt ignorance is appalling and has but made us cheap tools of mass deception and divisiveness. Take a walk to the Jaiz Bank branch nearest to you and discover you need to chant Allahu Akbar to be granted access by the security. Shame! |

It is entirely disingenuous twisting words out of its context to prove your conjectures. I dare any non-muslim in pursuit of teuth to go sit beside the nearest mosque and listen to the khutbah. Record if possible and lets dissect it on this platform. Preferably from a mosque that translates the khutbah in English. While you try to bamboozle most non-Muslims here that have not overcome their self conviction to download and read a copy of the Qur'an. The Qur'an categorises 4 stages of faith: Al-Mu'meen - Believers who have attained a high level of piety Muslims - Believers in Oneness of God and in his prophet, Muhammad SAW, all other prophets, the revelations, the last day, the angels and man's predestination. Ahlu-al-kitab - People of the book. The Jews and Christians who believe in some revelations of God. Kaffir - Unbelievers/disbelievers/Believers in alternative gods The Qur'an throughout its volume refers to Jews and Christians as Ahlu-al-kitab, a respectable way. Then stop snipping of verses midway without recourse to the preceding verses or the tafseer. Ciao! alBHAGDADI: |
Does Tinubu have affiliation with the CIA or any undercover political strategy group in the US. Visit from top US representative to his abode is nearly becoming a ritual. There's much more than catches the eye. Neither the Lagos State Governor nor the president has enjoyed this much consistent patronage of the US representatives. Ciao! |

Nigeria currently has installed generation capacity of about 5500MW but because of inadequate transmission infrastructure, it has been limited/restricted to an optimum of 4800MW, all other conditions being equal. The biggest challenge presently and according to the Power Ministry is the fact that ALL gas turbines are silent. NO GAS SUPPLY to fuel them. Each time the kinsmen of these Sapele guys blow a pipeline, they're quick to celebrate. The FG has already carried out four rounds of repairs amidst VERY scarce resources fixing different points on the pipeline. We are thus constrained to depend on Kainji, Jebba and Shiroro hydro plants with combined current production capacity of barely 1000MW! I understand many bandy the pains of their favorite candidates not winning some election some 20months ago but playing the ostrich will help no one. Both Forcados and Escravos lines are down and Shell is threatening to vacate Rivers State. Ultimately, the community loses in investment and environmental degradation. Until the pipelines are back, fully or marginally, we better learn to hug the darkness. We have no other source of fuel for our generating plants. Can't we build ![]() O yes! We can! Gurara hydro 40MW will be completed this year, Tiga hydro in Kano and a couple of others, with combined installed capacity of barely 200MW. The biggest - Mambilla HEP is just being started by this government and might take up to 4yrs to complete. Yea!!! With a capacity of 3000MW, we should experience relative improvement. But the cooperation and support of the Niger Delta remains the biggest and fastest run to power stability. Because we've got nearly 3500MW sleeping away idle as a result of pipeline vandalisation. Ciao! AFTERS - I think there's a deliberate and calculated attempt to frustrate the government, but then this unpatriotic action frustrates us all. Everyone! informant001: |
