PoliticsGroup Lampoons Bourdex Over Statement Calling Abia Elders “mad" by Man102(op): 6:58am On Mar 19
A socio-political organization, the Abia Patriotic Front, has released a devastating statement against David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex, the 73-year-old senatorial aspirant who recently sparked outrage by describing respected elders at an All Progressives Congress (APC) meeting as “mad people spewing incoherent nonsense.”

In a blistering press statement, the group exposed what it called “the complete dossier of a desperate political chameleon, a man of no character, with the stench of unanswered fraud allegations clinging to him like a second skin.”

According to the statement issued by the group’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Uche Ndukwe, the most damning revelation about Bourdex is his brief stint as caretaker chairman of Ohafia Local Government—a position he did not win, but begged and lobbied for like a man clutching at relevance.

“Young men in their 20s and 30s are winning elections, earning mandates, representing their people. David Ogba Bourdex, at 73, has never won anything in his entire life except the pity of those who appoint him. He had to lobby desperately for a caretaker position that requires no votes—competing with men young enough to be his grandchildren,” the statement read.

Even that caretaker tenure, the group noted, was a carnival of division, harassment, and allegations of fraud. The statement quoted political analyst Hon. Ikechi Anya: “A man of means and age suddenly experimenting with crude flattery resembles an adult insisting on being fed with a bottle. It signals nothing but desperation—and desperation in a 73-year-old is not ambition. It Is delusion.”

Behind Bourdex’s carefully crafted façade of a “successful businessman,” the group alleged, lies a labyrinth of financial scandal spanning decades. “Bourdex Telecom emerged during the chaotic liquidation of NITEL—a period investigators have described as a feeding frenzy where public assets were looted with impunity. Industry insiders have long whispered: how did he acquire telecom infrastructure worth hundreds of millions? What was the true source of his start-up capital? To this day, Bourdex has only answered with silence.”

The group further alleged that banking sources confirm Bourdex’s accounts showed massive, unexplained inflows during the late 1990s and early 2000s—transactions that bore no relation to his declared business activities. “When your bank statements scream louder than your explanations, reasonable people draw only one conclusion.”

The statement also dredged up Bourdex’s brief tenure as appointed caretaker chairman of Ohafia Local Government, alleging financial impropriety. “During his tenure, contracts were awarded to Bourdex-linked companies like confetti at a wedding. Multiple sources confirm that funds allocated for community projects allegedly vanished into thin air—with either substandard execution or no execution at all. A civil servant who dared to question these shady transactions was allegedly physically assaulted by Bourdex and threatened to be ‘disappeared’ if he didn’t learn to keep quiet. This is the man who wants to make laws for Abia North?”

Perhaps the most embarrassing section of the statement detailed Bourdex’s history of groveling before the very leaders he now attacks with the fury of a scorned beggar.

“The same Bourdex who now obsessively attacks Senator Orji Uzor Kalu was once his most vocal praise-singer, riding on the coattails of political structures Kalu built across Abia State. Today, he calls Kalu a ‘dying masquerade.’ Yesterday, he was dancing naked to the masquerade’s music.”

On former Governor T. A. Orji and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, the group noted that in August 2025, Bourdex viciously attacked their administrations as “clueless in the art of governance.” Yet this is the same Bourdex who, according to the group, came crying to these former governors when his finances dried up and benefited from their administrations through proxies appointed to key positions. He and his associates collected salaries, ate from the government’s table, and smiled for photographs—before turning around to bite the very hands that fed them.

“This is not leadership. This is political prostitution of the highest order—selling loyalty to the highest bidder, then attacking former clients to impress new ones. Today he is licking the boots of Governor Alex Otti with the enthusiasm of a hungry dog. Tomorrow, when a new government comes into power, he will call Otti mad and dance to a new master’s tune. At 73, he has no ideology, no principles, no shame—only an empty stomach barking for relevance.”

The group concluded by advising Ogba to turn a new leaf, noting that at his age, building a legacy should matter more than chasing contracts and appointments. “A man who has spent 73 years on earth and has nothing to show but a trail of unanswered questions and political U-turns should consider retirement, not the Senate.”

Efforts to reach Mr. David Ogba Bourdex for his response to the allegations contained in the statement proved abortive as of press time. Repeated calls to his known telephone line rang out unanswered, while a text message sent to his number had not been replied to.

We will continue to monitor developments and publish any response from the aspirant should it come.

Political analysts who spoke to our correspondent described the statement as a political obituary, noting that at 73, with zero electoral victories, a mountain of unanswered questions, and a mouth that cannot stop insulting the very people he needs to vote for him, Bourdex’s senatorial ambition is not just delusion—it is a public nuisance.

The Abia Patriotic Front is a coalition of concerned stakeholders committed to truth and accountability in Abia politics.

PoliticsHon. Alex Mascot Joins Labour Party (Photos) by Man102(op): 10:36am On Mar 04
BREAKING! Hon Alex Mascot Finally Joins Labour Party Despite Pressure From APC

...Registered at His Ward, Received by Governor Otti

Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, the outspoken member representing Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency, has officially joined the Labour Party, ending weeks of intense political speculation.

The journey began this afternoon at Industrial ward 2, Aba North, where the lawmaker known as "Onyeocha na Aba" completed his ward registration—a symbolic return to his grassroots roots. Surrounded by scores of loyalists who had earlier resigned en masse from APGA, Ikwechegh fulfilled the mandatory ward-level process before proceeding to the next stage of his political homecoming.

Following his registration, Hon. Ikwechegh was received at the Government House in Umuahia by Governor Alex Otti and his colleague, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, member representing Isiala Ngwa North/Isiala Ngwa South Federal Constituency. The warm reception signaled the Labour Party's embrace of a man who has become a national figure over the past week.

The move comes despite what sources describe as "intense pressure" from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), including multiple meetings with President Bola Tinubu and attractive offers from party stalwarts.

Speaking at the event, Ikwechegh explained his decision:

"I have watched what Governor Otti is doing in Abia—in infrastructure, education, healthcare. It is magical. When you see a leader performing, you don't fight him. You join him."

He continued:

"The pressure from APC was enormous. But I asked myself: where can I best serve the people of Aba? The answer was clear—here in Labour Party, under a governor who is actually working."

Today's announcement cannot be separated from the extraordinary seven days that transformed Hon. Ikwechegh from an opposition lawmaker into a national figure.

It began last Wednesday at the House Appropriation Committee, where he confronted Finance Minister Wale Edun with documents revealing that ₦1.15 trillion approved for capital projects remained completely undisbursed—with capital execution across Nigeria sitting at zero percent. His question silenced the room: "Why the capital of the Nigerian government remains at zero in 2026?"

The following day, Minister of State for Finance Doris Uzoka-Anite was summoned. She confirmed the funds were approved but claimed "pre-disbursement conditions" hadn't been met. Ikwechegh asked her to name one ministry that met all conditions and was still denied funding. She could not name a single one. His response was unequivocal: "If this infraction is identified, it means there has been misappropriation of funds—which is a crime."

By weekend, over 90 local government executives and ward officials loyal to him had resigned en masse from APGA in Aba North and Aba South, effectively dismantling the party's grassroots structure in the commercial hub. He followed with his own resignation from APGA on Saturday.

Then came Tuesday. At 3:30 PM, the presidency announced a cabinet reshuffle. Doris Uzoka-Anite was removed as Minister of State for Finance—exactly one week after Ikwechegh's initial interrogation. The official statement made no mention of the budget hearing, but the timeline spoke volumes.

And today, Wednesday, he registered in his ward and was received by Governor Otti.

Seven days. One lawmaker. A minister removed. A new political home.

For the people of Aba North and Aba South, the equation is now powerful:

· A governor delivering infrastructure
· A lawmaker who just forced a ministerial removal fighting for capital funds

As Ikwechegh put it:

"When I asked why capital projects are at zero, I was asking for Aba—for our roads, our hospitals, our schools. Now I join a government that is actually building them."

APC pressure failed. The offers were substantial. He chose Labour Party anyway.

For the people of Aba, their champion stood firm.

Registered at the ward. Received by the governor. Ready for the work ahead.

EducationJAMB: Prepare Smarter, Score Higher With Prep50 by Man102(op): 9:25am On Mar 04
JAMB: Prepare Smarter, Score Higher with Prep50

Every year, hundreds of thousands of candidates sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Every year too, many of them repeat the same usual story — “I read well, but I don't know what happened.”

This disconnect between effort and outcome is exactly the problem Prep50 was created to solve.

Founded by Anambra-based education entrepreneur and tech-driven learning enthusiast, Mr. Emeka Ejeziem, Prep50 was built on a simple but laudable idea, primarily to expose candidates to the secret that passing JAMB is not just about reading hard, but about practicing right.

Already generating many testimonies from users, the platform was designed after careful observation of recurring weaknesses among candidates, such as poor time management, unfamiliarity with CBT structure, lack of performance tracking, and inadequate exposure to exam-standard questions, among others which make them perform poorly and below standards in the UTME.

In its uniqueness, rather than leave students to guess their readiness, Prep50 introduces structure into preparation. It offers carefully selected practice questions aligned with the UTME format, thereby helping candidates simulate real exam conditions long before stepping into the CBT centre.

In an era where thousands compete for limited admission slots into Nigerian universities, polytechnics and colleges of education, preparation tools that combine accessibility with structured guidance are increasingly seen as indispensable.

Unlike conventional study methods that rely solely on textbooks and scattered past questions, Prep50 provides a focused digital practice system tailored to the UTME format. The platform offers carefully curated questions across core subjects, simulating real examination conditions while helping students identify weak areas early enough to improve.

As users testify, what sets Prep50 apart is not just the access to questions, but the system behind the practice. With Prep50, candidates are able to monitor their progress, identify weak subjects or topics, measure speed and accuracy, and adjust their preparation strategy accordingly. In such a highly competitive and yearly examination as UTME where a few marks can determine admission or disappointment, such level of insight as this makes a difference.

Indeed, the vision behind Prep50 goes beyond examination success, into changing the culture of exam preparation, moving students away from the usual method of last-minute cramming, toward a consistent and data-informed practice.

Through the various feedback mechanisms, parents and teachers who have encouraged candidates to use the tool report noticeable improvements in confidence levels and mock test scores of the. More importantly, by using it, students begin to understand their own learning patterns, which is an advantage that extends beyond JAMB.

As this year’s UTME draws closer, prospective candidates need no magician to tell them that competition for university admission grows tighter each year; and as such, using a smart tool like Prep50 which combines strategy, structure, and self-assessment, is no longer a luxury but a necessity.

PoliticsTinubu Removes Doris Uzoka After Hon. Alex Mascot Exposed 'Missing' ₦1.15tr by Man102(op): 7:16am On Mar 04
BREAKING! Tinubu Removes Finance Minister, Appoints Replacement After Hon Alex Mascot Exposed 'Missing' N1.15tr

President Bola Tinubu has removed Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite as Minister of State for Finance and appointed Mr. Taiwo Oyedele as her replacement, in a dramatic cabinet reshuffle that political observers are linking to last week's explosive budget defence hearing.

The development comes exactly seven days after Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, member representing Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency, confronted the Minister of Finance over ₦1.15 trillion in approved capital funds that remain undisbursed—with capital projects across Nigeria sitting at zero percent execution.

It was Wednesday, February 25th, when Hon. Ikwechegh—a member of the House Committee on Aids and Loans—took the floor at the Appropriation Committee's budget defence session and began firing questions that would ultimately reverberate all the way to Aso Rock.

Armed with documents from his committee assignment, he laid out a disturbing pattern:

$1.2 billion Digital infrastructure

$500 million Economic stimulus

$500 million MSME support (Dec 2025)

$500 million (AfDB) Economic governance/Energy transition Approved Nov 2025

$21M + ¥15B + €4B Recent executive loan request

₦1.15 trillion 30% of 2025 capital budget Approved but Not Disbursed

Despite this avalanche of borrowed money and record-breaking revenues from agencies like FIRS and Customs, Hon. Ikwechegh noted that capital projects remained at zero disbursement.

"With all these funds put together... I want you to enlighten us on why the 2024 budget is yet to be fully implemented, and why the 2025 budget has only been funded 34%—most of which is recurrent expenditure."

Then came the question that silenced the room:

"I want you to enlighten us on why our capital projects still remain at zero. Talking about our country. This is our country. Are you not in Nigeria? Why the capital of the Nigerian government remains at zero in 2026?"

When pressed, Minister of Finance Wale Edun shifted responsibility to his Minister of State, Doris Uzoka-Anite, claiming she handled disbursements.

The committee adjourned to Thursday, February 26th, summoning Uzoka-Anite to provide answers.

She appeared. She confirmed that ₦1.15 trillion was indeed approved. But she claimed "pre-disbursement conditions" had not been met by some ministries.

Hon. Ikwechegh was ready. He rose and asked:

"Mr. Chairman, can the minister tell this committee which specific ministry met all conditions and still did not receive funding? If none existed, why was ₦1.15 trillion approved when the government knew conditions weren't met?"

The minister could not name a single ministry.

The room understood the implication: either the money was approved without proper verification, or it was being withheld without justification.

Speaking after the hearing, Hon. Ikwechegh framed the issue in stark legal terms:

"If this infraction is identified, it means there has been misappropriation of funds—which is a crime."

At 3:30 PM on Tuesday, March 3rd—exactly one week after Hon. Ikwechegh's initial interrogation—the presidency announced a cabinet reshuffle.

According to a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Uzoka-Anite has been moved to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning as Minister of State.

It is her third portfolio in two years, having previously served as Minister of Trade and Investment before her appointment to Finance.

Replacing her is Taiwo Oyedele, the 50-year-old economist and tax expert who chaired the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms. Oyedele, a 22-year veteran of PwC who rose to become Fiscal Policy Partner and Africa Tax Leader, now awaits Senate confirmation.

The official statement made no mention of the budget defence hearing or Hon. Ikwechegh's interrogation.

But the timeline has left political observers drawing their own conclusions.

For ordinary Nigerians, this sequence of events demonstrates something rare: accountability in action.

A lawmaker asked questions. A minister could not answer. One week later, that minister was removed from her portfolio.

Hon. Ikwechegh's constituents in Aba North and Aba South—a commercial hub—now see their representative making waves at the highest level.

When he asked, "Why the capital of the Nigerian government remains at zero in 2026?" —he was asking for the roads, hospitals, and schools that never got built despite approved funds.

Now, because of his questions, the nation is watching. And the government has responded.

Despite the cabinet reshuffle, the core question Hon. Ikwechegh raised remains unanswered:

Where is the ₦1.15 trillion?

If funds were approved by the National Assembly, borrowed from international lenders, and generated by revenue agencies—yet never reached the capital projects they were intended for—the legal implications are unavoidable.

As Hon. Ikwechegh himself stated:

"If this infraction is identified, it means there has been misappropriation of funds—which is a crime."

The removal of a minister does not erase that question. It merely raises another:

Will there be further accountability?

There is currently tension in Nwezenyi, Igbeagu in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State after a yet to be identified young lady rented an apartment and kidnapped three children who are siblings.

The three siblings identified as Favour, Obinna, Kamso Okeoha were reportedly kidnapped on Saturday when the parents were not around.

According to residents of the area who spoke with our correspondent on the condition of anonymity, people living within the area are still shocked over the ugly development.

According to one of the residents, "we are still in shock over what happened. The young lady rented this apartment on Thursday, packed into the house on Friday just to Kidnapped the three children who are siblings on Saturday."

"And Because she just stayed for one day before kidnapping the three children, we don't even know her identity", a resident told our correspondent who visited the area on Monday morning.

Another resident said, "you can see how she painted and even wrote one love just to deceive others living in the compound that she is a lovely person, we are still speechless over what happened".

When our correspondent entered the compound, the suspected Kidnapper's apartment was the only room painted with an inscription "One Love".

Our correspondent, however, could not speak with the parents because they were not around. Only sympatheters were spotted still waiting for their arrival.

When our correspondent contacted the Police Public Relation, Ebonyi State Command, Mr Joshua Ukandu, he said he got a call about the incident and investigation is ongoing.

However, this is not the first time children are being kidnapped in Ebonyi State.

In February 2026, the Ebonyi State Police Command confirmed the abduction of three children by suspected kidnappers.

The incident occurred at Nkwegu, opposite the Nkwegu Military Cantonment gate, in Abakaliki Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

Police authorities said the parents of the abducted children reported the incident to them.

The incident happened in his Ndufu-Alike community.

Sources in the area told our reporter that the elder Igwe was driving to church when gunmen on a motorcycle double crossed him.

They allegedly forced him out of the car onto their motorcycle and zoomed off to an unknown destination.

Politics₦1.15 Trillion Approved, ₦0 Disbursed — The Full Story By Hon. Alex Mascot by Man102(op): 7:36am On Mar 01

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfiY03emrNY?si=JlJqToP8szApJiSS
₦1.15 Trillion Approved, ₦0 Disbursed — The Full Story of How Hon. Alex Mascot Exposed the Missing Capital Funds

The scene at the House of Representatives Appropriation Committee hearing on Wednesday, February 25th was tense, dramatic, and defined by one man's relentless pursuit of answers.

Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, member representing Aba North/Aba South Federal Constituency and a key member of the Aids and Loans Committee, took centre stage as he confronted the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, over the unexplained disappearance of capital project funds—despite trillions of naira in loans and record-breaking revenues.

What began as a routine budget defence quickly escalated into a high-stakes interrogation when Hon. Ikwechegh revealed a disturbing pattern:

· ₦1.15 trillion had been raised and specifically approved by the National Assembly to fund 30% of the 2025 capital budget
· Multiple loans had been secured, including:
· $1.2 billion for digital infrastructure
· $500 million for economic stimulus
· $500 million for MSMEs (approved December 2025)
· $500 million from the African Development Bank (November 2025) for economic governance and energy transition
· A recent executive request for $21 million, 15 billion Yen, and 4 billion Euros

Yet, despite this avalanche of borrowed money and strong revenue performance by agencies like FIRS, Customs, and others, capital projects across Nigeria remain at zero disbursement.

Hon. Ikwechegh, visibly frustrated, walked the Minister through the figures with surgical precision:

"With all these funds put together... I want you to enlighten us on why the 2024 budget is yet to be fully implemented, and why the 2025 budget has only been funded 34%—most of which is recurrent expenditure."

He then delivered the question that silenced the room:

"I want you to enlighten us on why our capital projects still remain at zero. Talking about our country. This is our country. Are you not in Nigeria? Why the capital of the Nigerian government remains at zero in 2026?"

When pressed, Minister Wale Edun shifted responsibility to the Minister of State for Finance, Doris Uzoka-Anite, claiming she handled disbursements.

This deflection infuriated committee members. If the substantive Minister of Finance cannot account for ₦1.15 trillion approved for capital projects, who can?

The session became rowdy. Lawmakers shouted, demanding answers. Some called for the ministers to resign. The committee had no choice but to adjourn the hearing to Thursday, February 26th, summoning the Minister of State to provide the clarity the nation deserves.

Speaking after the heated exchange, Hon. Ikwechegh framed the issue in stark legal terms:

"If this infraction is identified, it means there has been misappropriation of funds—which is a crime."

His point is simple but devastating: funds were approved by the National Assembly. Funds were borrowed from international lenders. Funds were generated by revenue agencies. Yet those funds never reached the capital projects they were intended for.

Where did the money go?

For ordinary Nigerians, this is not abstract parliamentary procedure. It means:

· Roads in constituencies like Hon. Ikwechegh's Aba remain unmotorable
· Hospitals lack equipment despite health sector allocations
· Schools remain unbuilt while contractors go unpaid
· Jobs are not created because infrastructure projects are stalled

When capital projects are at zero, development stops. When development stops, Nigerians suffer.

Wednesday's performance cements Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh's reputation as one of the House's most dogged advocates for transparency. Armed with facts, fortified by his position on the Aids and Loans Committee, and unafraid to confront powerful ministers, he demonstrated what legislative oversight should look like.

His constituents in Aba North/Aba South—a commercial hub crippled by infrastructural neglect—have found a champion willing to ask the hard questions at the highest level.

All eyes were on Thursday's resumed hearing, where Minister of State for Finance, Doris Uzoka-Anite, was summoned to account for the missing ₦1.15 trillion.

At that hearing, Uzoka-Anite confirmed that ₦1.15 trillion was indeed approved for capital projects. However, she revealed that disbursement protocols require multiple sign-offs, and that certain "pre-disbursement conditions" had not been met by some ministries.

She argued that while the funds exist, they cannot be released until:

· Project documentation is complete
· Procurement processes are finalized
· Ministries submit required feasibility reports

But committee members, armed with the Health Minister's earlier testimony that he received only ₦38 million of his ₦286 billion allocation, demanded to know: if protocols were the issue, why were some ministries given the runaround while others weren't?

In what observers described as Thursday's defining moment, Hon. Ikwechegh rose again and asked:

"Mr. Chairman, can the minister tell this committee which specific ministry met all conditions and still did not receive funding? If none existed, why was ₦1.15 trillion approved when the government knew conditions weren't met?"

The minister could not provide a single example.

The questions Hon. Ikwechegh has raised will not go away:

· If capital funds were approved, where are they?
· If they were misappropriated, who is responsible?
· If this is a crime, who will be held accountable?

Hon. Alex Mascot Ikwechegh has done what effective legislators do: followed the money, asked the tough questions, and refused to accept bureaucratic evasions.

Whether the Minister of State provided answers on Thursday—or whether Nigerians are left with more questions—one thing is clear: Hon. Ikwechegh has placed a spotlight on what may be one of the most significant financial infractions in recent National Assembly history.

And as he reminded the committee, if funds were approved but never reached their destination, that is not poor administration.

That is a crime.

Power Crisis: Arnold Group Launches Solar Subsidiary, Partners Global Brand

By Orjime Moses, Abuja

Arnold & Associates Group has launched a renewable energy subsidiary, Arnold & Associates Energy Nigeria Limited, in a move aimed at expanding access to alternative power solutions amid Nigeria’s persistent electricity supply challenges.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Group, ESV Ekweoba Arnold Chukwuebuka, said the company’s entry into the renewable energy sector was driven by the need to provide reliable alternatives to the country’s unstable power supply, which continues to impact businesses and households.

He described the subsidiary’s launch as a major milestone in the company’s expansion strategy and part of efforts to provide affordable and efficient solar energy solutions for homes, corporate organisations and public institutions.

Arnold noted that irregular electricity supply has increased operational costs for businesses and strained household budgets, stressing that solar energy provides a sustainable alternative to dependence on the national grid.

According to him, the company’s investment aligns with the global shift towards cleaner energy sources and is expected to support productivity while promoting environmental sustainability.

As part of its market entry strategy, Arnold & Associates Energy Nigeria Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with Global Energy Star Limited, a marketer of Lutian Solar products.

He explained that the partnership would strengthen the company’s capacity to supply certified solar technologies supported by after-sales services and maintenance structures across the country.

Arnold further stated that the subsidiary would provide services covering sales, installation, maintenance and technical advisory support to ensure optimal performance and durability of solar systems.

He added that the company operates from offices in Abuja, Asaba and Awka, while also providing delivery services to customers nationwide.

The firm also disclosed that enquiries can be directed to its official customer service line, 0814 365 4596.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to service quality, product reliability and sustained investment in Nigeria’s growing renewable energy sector as demand for alternative power solutions continues to rise.

EducationTech Guru, Ejeziem Proffer Solution on How Nigerian students Can Pass Jamb by Man102(op): 5:53pm On Feb 04
An Anambra-based education entrepreneur, Mr. Emeka Ejeziem, has shared how he discovered an exam-preparation app, which he said is helping Nigerian students improve their performance in JAMB, WAEC, and post-UTME examinations, with some scoring as high as 350 and above.

Mr. Ejeziem made this known in an exclusive interview with this reporter, where he explained that the app, known as “Prep50”, did not emerge as a tech idea but as a response to real-life challenges encountered by millions of students sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

According to him, the idea behind Prep50 was born as far back as 2014 when the organisation operated as a private JAMB Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre in Onitsha. He recalled that from 2016, when JAMB fully adopted CBT nationwide, the centre came into close contact with candidates and witnessed firsthand the panic, confusion, and lack of preparedness that many students displayed inside the examination hall.

He noted that beyond academic weakness, many candidates struggled with basic CBT navigation, time management, and understanding of exam interfaces inside exam hall, while others could not complete all 180 questions within the allotted time, especially in subject combinations involving Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Economics.

According to him, some candidates didn’t even know they could scroll to see hidden questions on the screen, while others were stuck on the first page.

Mr. Ejezien explained that further engagement with the candidates revealed deeper systemic issues, including overreliance on poorly structured past questions, lack of proper CBT practice tools, and serious content gaps between available textbooks and the actual JAMB syllabus. According to him, most past questions were arranged year by year, forcing students to jump across multiple topics at once without mastering any particular concept.

To address these challenges, he adopted what he described as a “topic-by-topic learning model,” restructuring past questions from as far back as 1978 into clearly defined topics and subtopics strictly aligned with the JAMB syllabus. He said this approach allows students to master one concept at a time, rather than attempting to learn dozens of topics within a few hours.

He added that the innovation also proved useful to teachers, many of whom rely on past questions to structure their lessons, noting that the early editions of the Prep50 books received strong commendation from educators, even when sales were initially modest.

Beyond the books, Ejeziem said Prep50 expanded into a full ecosystem that includes a mobile learning app and online tutorials. The app, he explained, contains structured lesson notes designed to cover every possible JAMB question within each topic, CBT simulations that mirror the real exam environment, and performance-tracking tools to help students build speed and confidence.

He disclosed that Prep50 is also introducing an AI-powered learning feature into its app, leveraging curated UTME and SSCE data spanning decades to create personalised study plans based on a student’s strengths and weaknesses. Unlike generic AI tools, he hinted that Prep50’s AI relies strictly on verified exam data and guided learning models rather than generating unverified answers.

Mr. Ejeziem further explained that what clearly distinguishes Prep50 from other exam preparation materials in the market is its deliberate structure, realism, and quality of instruction. According to him, unlike conventional past questions that encourage random cramming, Prep50 is built on a structured, topic-by-topic learning system that allows students to study logically, master concepts gradually, and retain knowledge over time. He said the approach eliminates confusion and helps candidates focus on understanding rather than memorisation.

On the tutorial component, Ejeziem said Prep50 as an organisation and exam preparation platform engages highly experienced and award-winning Nigerian teachers, including national and state winners of the Maltina Teacher of the Year Award, to serve as academic coaches for students who may struggle with self-study. He described UTME as the most competitive examination many Nigerian students will ever face, making expert guidance essential for top performance.

When asked how students can access Prep50, Ejezie said Prep50 operates on a flexible model.

Sharing success stories and testimonies so far recorded by users if their app and platform, he cited candidates such as Azoyenime Samuel Chukwuemeka, who scored 372 in the 2025 UTME; and David Kikisoko, who scored 371, both of whom reportedly used Prep50 materials extensively. He also mentioned that several secondary schools across Nigeria have provided testimonials on how the platform improved their students’ SSCE and UTME outcomes.

Ejeziem emphasised that Prep50’s guiding philosophy is ethical success, captured in its tagline, “Pass without cheating.” He stressed that the platform seeks to debunk the notion that examination success must involve malpractice, while also promoting structured learning as both effective and sustainable in the long term.

His words: “Prep50 is not just about exams. It’s about changing how Nigerian students learn, helping them understand that education is valuable, achievable, and relevant — especially in a future shaped by technology and artificial intelligence.”

He stressed that the ultimate goal of Prep50 is to build a culture of disciplined, ethical excellence in Nigerian education, positioning students to compete fairly and confidently both locally and globally.

A man said to be from Ezza community in Ebonyi State has been hospitalised after he was allegedly injured during an altercation with his girlfriend in Anambra State.

Sources familiar with the incident said the victim sustained a deep cut to his wrist following a confrontation with the woman, whose identity has not yet been made public.

Although the exact cause of the dispute remains unclear, a person close to the couple described their relationship as troubled, alleging that there had been repeated conflicts between them in the past.

The source claimed the woman had previously threatened the man during arguments and had once chased him with a pestle.

Despite the reported tensions, the victim was said to have remained in the relationship, telling friends he found it difficult to leave because they had been together for about seven years and he still cared deeply for her.

A video seen by Newsmaxng showed the man receiving treatment for the injury to his wrist: his wrist was cut so deeply.

It is not yet clear whether the matter has been formally reported to the police.

PoliticsEx Abia Speaker Chinedum Orji Unveiled As Tinubu Campaign Organization Chairman by Man102(op): 9:20pm On Jan 27
BREAKING! City Boy Movement: ex Abia Speaker Chinedum Orji Unveiled as Tinubu Campaign Organization's Abia Chairman

The City Boy Movement, a political organization campaigning for President Bola Tinubu's re-election, has officially unveiled the former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, FNSE (Ikukuoma Abia), as its State Chairman, marking a significant boost to the Movement’s political mobilization drive in Abia State.

The announcement, made in Umuahia, signals a strategic alliance between the youth-driven political platform and a seasoned legislator widely regarded for his legislative leadership and grassroots engagement.

Orji, a two-term lawmaker and the 11th Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly between 2019 and 2023, is known for championing legislative independence and institutional stability during his tenure. A graduate of Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), and a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), he brings a blend of professional expertise and political experience to the Movement.

The City Boy Movement cited Orji’s signature “Direct Touch” Initiative which focused on direct empowerment of youths and women through livelihood support as a key factor in his selection. The group also noted his recent transition to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a move that has further strengthened the party’s structure and expanded its grassroots reach in the state.

Orji is a recipient of several recognitions, including the Sun Public Service Award and Champion Newspaper’s Most Outstanding Speaker, accolades that, according to the Movement, underscore his record of public service.

Speaking at the unveiling, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu), Director of the City Boy Movement in Abia State, described the development as a turning point for the organization in the South East.

“Today, we haven't just added a name to our roster; we have gained a General. Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji is a builder by profession and a builder of men by calling. His acceptance to serve as our Chairman signals a new dawn for the City Boy Movement in the South East. With Ikukuoma, the wind of progress is now at our backs,” Igbokwe said.

He added that the Movement remains committed to mobilizing citizens in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that Orji’s leadership would help deepen political participation and organizational growth across Abia State.

The City Boy Movement welcomed Orji into the fold, expressing confidence that his leadership would help shape the political future of the state and strengthen the Movement’s presence across the region.

Ginger Onwusibe Lacks the Moral Locus to Call Past Abia Administrations “Egypt” - Okoro

The phrase “Abia is not for sale; we will not return to Egypt” has recently been echoed loudly by supporters and beneficiaries of the present Abia State administration. As 2027 approaches, these voices have grown more defensive, insisting that Governor Alex Otti must not be voted out.

However, in the last few weeks, a new reality has begun to confront Abians, one that social media hype can no longer conceal. Many residents who returned home during the festive period confirmed what the government’s online cheerleaders desperately tried to mask: Abia has been largely governed by media validation rather than measurable development.

Public schools across the state remain in deplorable condition, despite claims that ₦82 billion has been expended on so-called “smart schools.” The much-celebrated Enyimba Hotel remains, by every objective standard, an audio project including over #60 spent in repainting of old Primary Health Centers PHC. These realities have forced even neutral observers to begin asking hard questions.

Yet, amid this awakening, one voice stands out for its sheer audacity, Ginger Onwusibe, the member representing Isiala Ngwa North and South in the House of Representatives, who has repeatedly described Abia’s past administrations as “Egypt.”

This is where credibility collapses.

Ginger Onwusibe has no moral or historical standing to make such a declaration. Since the return of democracy in 1999, he has done little outside government. From being a councillor in 1999 to local government chairman (three different times) to the State House of Assembly, and now the National Assembly, his entire adult life has revolved around public office. He only exited the Abia political structure briefly after losing party primaries, before conveniently re-emerging through the much-denied Obi wave—the same wave his political camp now disowns.

What moral right does a man who served successive administrations from 1999 till date now label them “Egypt”? If anything, Ginger Onwusibe was a chief servant of the Pharaohs, he now condemns.

Records exist verifiable records of payments routed through him, including funds allegedly drawn from the Ministry of Sports, reportedly running into ₦10 million monthly during the Ikpeazu administration. These funds did not translate into salary payments, pensions, or sustainable grassroots development. Instead, Abia resources were allegedly used to build and maintain political structures such as Otawike, which today lies in ruins, not because of reform, but because the current Governor refuses to fund parallel political groups outside Abia Arise.

More telling is the quiet truth insiders know well: Ginger Onwusibe has, in private, criticized the fraud, manipulation, and governance inconsistencies within the present administration, criticisms he lacks the courage to voice publicly.

National Union of Teacher (NUT) last week issued warning strike notices over unpaid arrears. Pensioners are reportedly being forced to forfeit parts of their gratuities. Abia remains one of the few states still publicly struggling with salaries and pensions, despite reportedly generating over ₦43 billion monthly. These are not inherited problems, they are current failures. A manipulative Government will not like Nigerians to know the level of mismanagement in Abia State

With over ₦1.4 trillion received in 32 months, can Ginger Onwusibe point to a single major road, hospital, water project, or transformative infrastructure completed by the Otti administration in his constituency? Can he identify one virgin project initiated and completed in his own local government?

The General Hospital at Okpuala Ngwa, located within his constituency, has been abandoned to decay. Can Ginger confidently send his security aides there today for medicare?

Even basic rural electrification has been neglected, villages around Umuehim( Governor’s adopted village )remain in darkness, while electricity is conveniently secured elsewhere for Governor’s use only .Is this the “New Abia” citizens are expected to applaud?

Abians are no longer naïve. Anyone who actively participated in the governance of Abia for 24 years has no moral authority to denounce those same years, including the current Governor who once oversaw Abia funds as an Executive Director at First Bank and later as MD of Diamond Bank, where state funds were domiciled under his watch.

What Abians demand today is verifiable evidence, not slogans. Development should be tangible, like a bank with Signature of growing from zero to 22 branches in 35 months, not theoretical.

Alex Otti is not the best Abia can offer, even if we concede that the past was imperfect. And characters like Ginger Onwusibe longstanding fixtures of Abia’s political establishment and serial defectors should exercise restraint when history is being discussed. He is not an observer; he is an integral part of that history. 1999 till date .

The masquerade has been unveiled.
2027 will not be won with sentiment, recycled slogans, or selective amnesia. Even Peter Obi has been discarded by those he helped into power.

The shock is coming. And this time, Abians are watching closely.
