The Association (NMA) comprises of Medical Doctors and Dentists Practicing in Nigeria. They occupies varieties of top most sensitive positions in health sectors across the FRN. Not only as Chief/ Medical Directors to government hospitals but also Ministerial positions, Chairman/Directorate to academic and research institutes and other health MDAs such as NPHCDA, NDLEA, NAFDAC, CDC, WHO to mention but few.
These however does not stop them from private practices as specialist in their respective disciplines in the field of Medicine.

Strike action in the health sectors pays Medical Doctors (otherwise NMA) in big form than any other?
Hence the politics behind prolonged initiative embarked upon under the auspice of FG. It is a means to patient diversion to their private owned hospitals and diagnostic centers where infliction of undue suffering on less privilege, indigent and common masses in their quest for right to health care is achieved.

Nobody, not even NMA ever publicly queried her members incompetence?

Health team is safer, cheaper and far better than medical team?

That Doctors belligerence does not only hampers mutual relationship amongst supposed colleagues but also cripples our national health system?
Leaving Nigeria; the giant of notable 54 African Countries on 187 of 190 on the WHO health ranking.

The self centeredness and high handedness of this arrogant NMA is now responsible for the extension of the ongoing strike to all JOHESU members across 36 states including FCT and 774 LGs of the federation as we speak.

Conclusively, NMA takes control of health system in proxy and other professionals down tools.

Let's pray for Nigeria and Nigerians freedom from the hostage of the newly emerged Medical cultism. Just as we beseeches God on terrorism kidnapping, vandalism and killer heads men.

Mind you; this innocent country (Nigeria) is ranked 187 of 190 countries of the world on the WHO health status. Only medical Drs serves FMOH as minister in Nigeria. Who queries them despite such jumbo pay or Isn't that worth addressing than this undue, unethical, often unlawful and desasterous threats and war of attrition on the personalities and embodiment of respected innocent professional colleagues?

We have lawyers and other respected professionals too and indeed NO area of discipline is worth underrating for you can't be the judge in your law court.

No doubt that most unhealthy and unlawful habits are predisposed by peer age and societal influence, parental negligence or poor family background, self adopted lifestyle, occupational/economic challenges including survival means and gangsterism to mention but a few.

Scores of our teaming youth are working dead bodies on the adverse of regular and or excessive consumption of substances of abuse. They are rather dangerous with most being contrabands and illegal; ranging from cannabis, alcohol, cocaine, heroine, tramadol, coedine and lots more.
Those dangerous habits commonly found amongst youth, which involves both gender but mostly males are not unconnected with intake of drugs. It alters their brain functions and ease their unhealthy desires.

Consumption of substances of abuse has major contribution to the aetiology of societal vices including domestic violence and criminality of various categories in our population and can no longer be quantified. Therefore calling for an existential approach.

It is time for the fight against root cause of violence and corruption in our dear country.
Individuals, parent, guardian or family relations, down to neighborhoods and fellow citizens, professionals in various field of practices and institutions, governmental and nongovernmental organizations need to take responsibilities. It is important to note; that the time to salvage our society is now and not latter.
