After heavy deliberations, superstar rapper and hitmaker, Phyno’s monster track, “Fada Fada” was voted as Nigeria’s hottest track of 2016 on MTV Base Roundtable, the most debated music list in Nigerian entertainment. Tagged #BaseHottestNaijaTracks2016, the 2-part show ended with Phyno taking the number one spot on the ultimate music countdown.
With a panel of Nigerian music industry heavyweights and tastemakers, including Senior Associate, Pulse NG, Ayomide Tayo; Publisher, Mystreetz Magazine, Sesan Adeniji; OAP 97.3 Classic FM, Buki Sawyerr Izeogu; OAP Beat 99.9 FM, Douglas Jekan; A&R Entertainment Consultant, Bizzle Osikoya; Artiste Manager & CEO Stargaze Management Company, Asa Asika and former MTV Base VJ and OAP of City FM, Cynthia “Cvon” Okpala.
The #BaseHottestNaijaTracks2016 which was weighed according to a range of criteria – from impact in the media, level of “buzz” and longevity, had Phyno clinch the top spot with Tekno following closely with “Pana”
Olamide’s “Who you Epp” takes on the number three spot while Kiss Daniels “Mama”, ReekadoBanks “Oluwa ni” and Adekunle Gold’s “Pick up” take on number four, five and six spots respectively.
Other hit tracks on the list include, YCee’s “Omo Alhaji, SugarBoy’s “Hola Hola”, Patoranking’s “No Kissing Baby”, Mr Eazi’’s “Skintight”, Dbanj’s “Emergency”, Koker’s “Kolewerk” Humblesmith’s “Osinachi” featuring Davido among many others.

During my service years, I met a corp member, we were on a boat going to a community in Sagbama LGA. As she conversed on the phone, I could understand what she was saying though I knew her dialect was very different from mine. Elated I thought I have met kinswoman but she denied being Igbo claiming Kwale. I was like but I understood you. She maintained she's not Igbo in a way that made it seem we're quarrelling... I was instantly pissed off. I really dislike those segregation and denials. I concur with writer. We are all Igbos.

Another that makes me annoyed is the way Igbos from other states segregates Igbos from Ebonyi. For the love of God, we are all Igbos. Together we will be stronger. They divide us so they can rule us perpetually.

Let's rise above such mentality.

Igbo and Ibo are the same just like Ikechuku and Ikechukwu. Another examples are Nnadi and Nnamdi, Ugueze and Ugwueze etc. No one is forcing Anioma to be Igbo. Please what is the meaning of Anioma in Bini?

Ibe kachikwu is from Onitcha Ugbo not Ika. The reason why the Easterns made such comment was that they were considering geopolitical zone wherein Delta State fall under South South.

l concur with you my brother. Ndoni in Present day Rivers state is also part of Ibo. Prior to the creation of Delta State, Ndoni was part of our LGA in defunct Bendel State.

AFTER 3 decades of elusive search for hydrocarbons in the Lake Chad Basin where the Federal Government spent about $340 million and additional N27 billion, in seismic expedition, Nigeria looks set to continue its crude oil exploration in the North East region.
But petroleum engineers, investment experts and geologists have warned the Buhari administration could yet burn its fingers in the long run as the geography of the zone may not guarantee a commercial find.
It was on the basis of this sentiment that the recent marching order handed down to the management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to resume oil search in the Chad Basin after 30 years of futile efforts is eliciting reactions from stakeholders in the oil and gas sector.

So why does life get better once you leave your 30s behind? That’s the question Jill Arnold, a senior lecturer in Psychology at Nottingham Trend University asked a group of women. At the age of 59, she felt that talking to other women about then—lives and experiences might help her to
understand. Along with her photographer daughter, she launched a project to find out how women view themselves as they get older. Arnold and her daughter interviewed and photographed 50 women aged between 45 and 65. Far from meeting frumps and grumps, they found people who were funny, creative and surer of themselves then ever before. “I think the increased confidence comes from knowing what you want,” says Arnold.
“By the time they reach middle age, many women have spent years pursuing their careers and devoting all their energy to their children. Now they are looking forward to doing more things independently, even selfishly.” One woman told me that she’d always thought she would feel isolated as she grew older. But her life is fuller than ever and she has a long list of things she wants to do with her time as soon as she retired.
” Arnold believes that although older women still feel under pressure to look good, they think to themselves: “I will try to find a way that is convenient for me.” She says: It’s not that these women don’t care what anyone thinks any more. They know that they will be the judge. But they are more confident about the choices they make.

l'm a graduate..

This issue has been on existence long ago hence many parents don't encourage their children for polytechnic education.. Hnd and Bsc can't be the same owing to the fact that they have different curriculum and learning process..Two programme which are run under different platforms can never be thesame. Let me take GST courses as an instance. Polytechnic students don't study Entrepreneurial Studies and Use of French as part of their GST courses while their counterparts in the university study those courses..The recommendation l will make is that let Federal Govt convert all existing Polytechnics into Universities thereby adopting the university system of education. ln such case there won't be any polytechnic awarding OND or HND... Contrary to the proposed City Universities wherein OND will still be awarded.. Let me end on this note.. Thanks to everyone that has contributed to this vital issue..
