deols: well, I heard of the pairing from people who have been paired. Can you explain how the hajj commission is allowed to act as Mahram? In what book is that written. I have also heard that a group of fifty women may not need one. But I'd require a reference before believing that.Action speaks louder than words, urge them to embark on protests. There should be burning of Saudi flags by now and name calling by now. |
I await total chaos in Northern Nigeria, demonstrations and burning of Saudi flags should commence forthwith. As they are able to organize protests because of a film about mohamed that was shot in the US.They should likewise protest against this disgrace and humiliation by their saudi masters. |
ibsmooth: Let the truth be told, our government often sends their girlfriends and concubine who most on reaching Saudi vanishes into thin air. This happens every year. This is a reflection of our attitude simple. No doubt, whatever they sow, that they will reap. This is just morning,to carry 9ija passport is a disgrace. |
Toaskarity: no they wont! To see how stupid they are! Instead they will unite with arabs to protest about a film in america! They knows nothing about "Black Power" or Pan Africanism.Europeans are coming together,Asian and Arabs are coming togerther,Africans are killing and fighting each other.Did you not see how Fashola is sending destitutes or the poor ones away from Lagos.Returning people to their place of origin in their own country.Primitive folks. |
maryjames9: Adding insults to injuries.More disgrace and embarassment awaits this country. First,ur women deported.Second,ur leaders protest turned on deaf hears. Third,Mark,Timbuwal,Sambo all failed and now ur president wil go and lick the arse of Saudi Authorities cos u wana do Hajj. This is the height of it all. Your leaders dont mean nothing to these nations and "they dont give a damn" about them. Irresponsible leaders controlng blind, dump followers. I await what the trainee presidency led administratn wil do. Ordinary Hajj they cant go.No light, roads, jobs, infrastructures, good education, no nothing. All they are good at is corruption and lawlessness. Embezelling galore and their suffering followers watching them helplessly. This country is pathetic100 likes |
Dudu_Negro: This one wey fash don dey deport ibos so, if i were you i will put those properties you listed on ebay and start making plans to get to my papaland.Your envy knows no limit, caution yourself before you commit suicide. In the first instance Biafrans fought to dettach from Nigeria but almost all the other tribes in Nigeria fought and died for igbos to remain in Nigeria."Now level don change" you guys are eyeing igbo properties scattered all over Nigeria, why? I want to set the record straight,i own acres of Land and houses in Abijo lekki.I also own a lot in Eleko in ibeju lekki. There is no body on the face of earth that can take what i have laboured for,the war will be endless!generations to come will fight and defend what belongs to them.It does not matter if Nigeria divides or not.You are day-dreaming to have such an idea in your lazy skull, work harder and pray to God to bless your effort.Stop the envy! you need help,go to psychologist for further consultations. I used to be an advocate of Nigerias disintegration, but i have decided to have a rethink because of the likes of you.We are in this boat together,it is either it sinks or it remains afloat till its desired destination.Infact, any body can reside in any part of the country without fear. There is no law that restricts movement or place of abode. If notherners or south west does not want to be a part of Nigeria they should opt out.I hereby urge every Nigeria to defend yourselves wherever you are."Na una sey una want one nigeria" more igbos should relocate to Lagos and other states of the country. They are afraid of the dominating and enterprising spirit of the Igbo man.@ dude_negro most of my tenants in Lagos are yorubas,so rush to third mainland bridge and take a dive into the lagoon.I am done with you. |
Dudu_Negro: Yes, by legal definition thats what they are. When they were trucked out of North around February and camped in SE.....they were also called refugees. This is what they have become.....this is their own making, nobody made them refugees...they choosed to become refugees. They have a homeland...they choosed to abandon it.You are a primitive man,so all yorubas that are living outside their home land should be deported to their respective homelands.Your reasoning is so LOW.Your kind of person does not make progress in life, you sound envious-jealous of Igbo people. On an equal ground you cannot compet with any igbo person. You will definitly be floored. |
chino11: I don't care where you are related to, the fact is that we Anambrans are not in any way related to any part of imo state. All of you in that imo state, whether owerre, njaba, orlu, ikeduru you people are same and one people, we Anambra people has nothing in common with you lot. We are a monolithic state in the SE.Kid stop vibrating!!! |
Why are the northerners not demonstrating against the killing of innocent civilians and the bombing of churches.I keep wondering what set of people these hausa/fulanis are.. |
South east was not mentioned in the news,i have gone through the post severally there is no mention of south east, what is actually going on? |
What a State of fear and intimidation? Who wants to live in a State like this? Lack of security every where. Imagine, everyone is living in fear in their own State and Homeland when people in diaspora are living peacefully and walking freely without fears or intimidation! What a hellish place called, HOME!!!! Rather die in diaspora than return to that hell-hole, where people are targeted for working hard for themselves, family and community. Missing Home? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! How could anyone miss death from armed robbers and assassins with machine guns? Do you ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ? [/quoteYou are on point, that place is no longer worthy to be called "home".Infact any one that travels from Europe or US down to Nigeria is taking a risk that is not worth it.I know of a lady that went to Nigeria after several years of sojourn in Europe, she threw a party on her arrival at home, the following night armed robbers visited and riddled her left leg with bullets. When she finally came back, she was on wheel chair for over six months. She swore never to return back to Nigeria anymore. |
skyflash: The gov sacked ten thousand youths from work when he took over as gov so may be this is pay back time. That is not a reason to go about killing innocent citizens, there is no gain in crime."Whatever a man soweth that he shall reap" |
mrkels: Lest I forget almost every youth in that town is a cultist. When I was there there was this joint we normally hang out, to my suprise you would see an eiye , a pirate and an ax man drinking beer together in harmony and they talk about their ruthless doings in their school, and they would all be brothers or cousins or something. I mean don't get me wrong there's no harm with these people sitting and drinking together, all am saying is that it has become a culture thing and it seems okay for family members to belong, tell me why crime wouldn't be on the rise in that state? I know of a particular big family where every body in the family is a cultist and their father , e own don pass normal cult.Nigeria is doomed because of this cult of a thing, crime will continue to be on the increase in Nigeria because of the activities of cultist.Killers, assassins, robbers and rapers etc. A people without conscience, the bible says,"There is a way that seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof is the way of destruction" |
pslm23: Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement. This is indeed a road i never thought i'd walk! When i said "I Do" to him, i fully intended to stay married forever. What this has taught me though is that we as humans might have our own pre-conceived ideas on how we want our lives to turn out but in the long run,God has the ultimate say so! |
Niseamaka: Feeling Pain?. About what?, about an immensely fulfilled 92 years old retired supreme court justice and his son, both of whom excelled academically, professionally and in their respective family lives as husbands and fathers. What pain are you feeling about charleyboy, a man who have been tremendously successful since he came back from the States after his studies with his American spouse and established his entertainment business, creating many jobs. In what way or ways is your own family better off than the Oputas. Compare your father`s life and career with justice Oputa`s, and your own life and career or any of your sibling`s with charles Oputa, then tell yourself the bitter truth.100 likes,Thanks. |
ebamma: imagine a married man with kids who is over 50 years old calling himself charlyboy, wonders shall never endIt is a free world,he can do whatever he likes. He does not hurt anyone with his style of life. |
akpu nku: If only my brothers could see the handwriting on the wall, all those people cursing anambra are no igbos, they want to divide the igbos knowing fully well that anambra is the central nerve of igbo land. Anambra is no worst than abia in Kidnaping and 60% of business men at onitsha are not from anambra state. There is no hand writing on the wall to be seen.Just call"a spade a spade" kidnapping and armed robbery are evil.Solutions must be found to deal with these criminals. |
dadicvila: God bless you my brother, even me an Ijaw man know the people commiting all manner of atrocities and spoiling the name of igbos,i give Anambra people 50yards,i grew up with igbo's,yoruba's,hausa's etc, plus i have interacted with all and sundry but i have never seen a group of people as desperate as anambra people, they can kill for even 50naira,Godbless my coal city,Imo and Abia peeps, shame on Anambra people,TufiakwaThose criminals have chased investors away from igbo Land, the problem should be adressed forthwith. How come one is afraid to visit his/her home state,it is either you are a victim of kidnappers or armed robbers,Tufiakwa! |
Biafra in our consciousness... |
Christian republic of Biafra,my fingers are crossed. |
Godogwu: Oh because Nigeria has Oil it should be competing with most western countries?, please when was oil discovered in Nigeria and don't you also think all these other western countries have abundant natural resources also? Fact is that they do and have been utilizing their resources way before Nigeria was created and as Nigeria develops these other countries develop too, they don't remain stagnant.Talk what you know, most European countries does not have minerial resources but they have (grade one )infrastuctures. If you step out of Nigeria and witness how a country should look like, you will shed tears and agree with me that Nigeria is a total failure. When you look at citizens of Europe,Usa or even some Asian countries you would not deny the fact that Nigeria is way behind.Nigeria is plagued by poverty, corruption, dirt, crime and many more.Countries that are endowed with mineral resources like Nigeria are way better than that shit hole you call your father/mother land. They made nobody proud. |
kutchs: Everyone is out here blaming the leaders for the country woes as if the leaders were some alien personnel from Mars. These so called leaders who get all the blames are Nigerians infact ordinary Nigerians b4 becoming leaders. Dimeji Bankole, Bode George, Lawan Farook, Boniface Emenalo etc were all ordinary Nigerians like us and am sure they made as much noise if not more than we are doing now but did they change anything upon becoming leaders? NO. We followers are not as innocent and blameless as we present ourselves, the ministry clerk who demands settlement b4 he can move a file is an ordinary Nigerian, the student who refuses to study for an exam is an ordinary Nigerain even the lecturer who demands sexual and monetary gratification b4 a student can pass is an ordianry Nigerian. The VC, Rector, Provost, Principal and headmaster who embezzles money meant for his school‘s development is an ordinary Nigerian. Who do the leaders use to perpetrate their corrupt acts? Ordianry Nigerians. What the hell are we talking about. Quit the blame game and take responsibility for the poor state of the country cos we all involved. What have you benefited from Nigeria,as an ordinary citizen? It is only the corrupt politicians that sings praises to the damned country. |
Godogwu: @OP This is a clearly a well written piece as it sheds light on the various places Nigerians feel downcast to be part of the country, nevertheless I would say this is a trying time for the country and frankly I detest it when people compare Nigeria to America. The fact is America is about four times older, more industralized and more developed than Nigeria. Nigeria is barely 52 years of age and we are bound to have problems, we cannot asin cannot be the perfect Nation as at now, No way!( just so people know... there's no perfect nation) ...please feel free to correct me if there's another country 52 years of age that is on the same level with the United Sates. Comparing both countries is like comparing a 40 year old man to a 12 year old boy and asking why the boy isn't as wise, as agile or as diligent as the man. I can and will never ridicule my Country ( I can comment on its problems but I can't write the country off) . Yes, Nigeria has problems; the educational sector isnt swell hence private schools, no sort of healthcare, electricity and security is not left out....but hey, Rome wasn't built in a day......you don't expect Nigeria to be as industralized as the US only after 52 years? Do you?, like is it magic? Each problem Nigeria faces as of today will be systematically dealt with in due time and that is for sure. I always say it....."Nigerian and PROUD!" and to me Nigeria is already blessed. With all the natural resources available Nigeria is supposed to compet with most western economies,it is a reality. We did absolutely nothing with the natural resources at our disposal.Stop making excuses for failure. |
How can one be committed to such a corrupt country? In Europe immidiately a child is born the government takes part in some finacial responsibilty of the child.Every child is paid equivalent of N40.000 every month here, coupled with free education, unemployed guys are paid every month, etc.Now tell me why we should not be patriotic to such a country? If there is an external aggression to such a country i will whole heartedly pick up arms to defend her even if it entails sheding my own blood. If i have a chance i would not mind setting Nigeria ablaze,it is not worth it.Wicked folks!! |
All Hail Biafra!!!! Land of the rising sun. |
Goddess12: There is no such thing as south, its going to be from nigeria to N,S,E,W and others in there, we are not going to share the same country with ibos or ijaws if nigeria divides, we have nothing in common. Then set the ball rolling, but the crude oil that comes from our region has been feeding you parasites for ages.I cant wait to detach from lazy folks. |
Goddess12: If you ibos can channel half of the energy you use to dig some stories that make no sense to loving your people than you hate Yoruba and also think how to move your land forward, your states won't remain cursed.@ Goddess12.Have you ever been to igbo land?i believe not,Enugu and Owerri is more beautiful and well organized than Lagos. |
Empero67: Your conditional clause theory did not add up. Awo participated in the war. He was behind the deliberate starvation of civilians. You could have a point if Awo and the Yorubas had stayed away and see if Igbos will pull out of the mess called Nigeria. For your information , Igbos are no failures by any standard in all aspect of human endeavours. This is a place for exchange of ideas . A little civility is needed from both sides. cheers@empero67-You made irrelevant point,a kind of strayed away from giving a reasonable reply. You were fast to point out my mistakes but failed to give an answer in accordance to what i wrote. |

Why do we keep running around thesame issue every time,it is now clear that the northerners are our problem. We southerners have now realized that we can not make progress if we continue to share thesame country with the mallams up north. They contribute nothing to Nigerias economy,.we do not share thesame culture, tradition, belief and social life.We must devise a means to detach from those folks up north. |
Katsumoto: Damn, English grammar is so difficult for many Biafrans. It appears that many don’t know about conditional clauses and its uses in sentence construction. A conditional clause is used to express that the action in the main clause will only occur IF a certain condition/action is actualized. So Awo was ready to opt out of Nigeria if the Igbo´s seced? your Awo could not stay in a Nigeria without the Igbo´s.What a shame! If the east is part of Nigeria it´s a deal, but if they are out,the yorubas are out too.My question is,must we all stay in one Nigeria? |
