In Summary Ogonis need to have a backup Plan for this declaration the Gowon's and the Awolowos' are coming who will rather die in a Failed Nigeria than opt out.

The Ogoni case as small as it look might actually be a template that will decide Nigeria's next 50 years i remember Isaac Boro doing exactly the same thing in 1966 only to join Nigerian Army to fight against Biafra.
The authorities need to very cautious about this.

I know works are going on, but from what i've seen from the pics so far, Owerri is looking unkempt and scruffy. They don't need to wait until works are completed b/4 they sweeep and tidy their streets, and repaint those worn-out looking kerbs (if that's the right word for it).

So there's no completed road/project that we can see to guage what Rochas' intentions are for Imo? I'm NOT impressed with what i've seen thus far; i reckon Enugu is the cleanest and best looking city in the South East.

So if there's any decent pics you have, let's see those as well.

It all depends on the pictures posted,do not forget that some of this photos could be politically motivated.Someone can take shots of super environments of a particular city if he is on the pay roll of the regime in power to fake things.To make it look like that particular government in power is working in order to be re-elected,it is a political strategy.It could also be the other way round,if the person that posts the pictures is not in alliance with the government in power he posts negative pictures to discredit the said regime.So do not jugde from the pictures,Thanks.

He can't go through the entire cities of Owerri and Onitsha looking for the good parts to snap to counter-balance any unpatronizing pics he may have.....he may have been at these places for his private business, and decided -while pressed for time- to snap a few pics for our benefit.

If you guys are not happy with his side of the story, you can as well snap your own pics of the nice side of the two cities mentioned and upload, to give a 'balanced' view. If your excuse is that you're not at Onitsha or Owerri at the moment, you could ask a cousin or friend at home to snap pics and send to you or upload themselves.

Chino is fond of bragging about places/projects/industries in Onitsha and other cities in Anambra, but falls short when it's time to back up his assertions with pics.....very annoying.

Why didnt he present the slums in Enugu?what is the agenda?he is not doing justice to onitsha and owerri.There is no city that does not have shortcomings.In New york,Harlem is worst than most slums in Nigeria.But things like this are covered unless you visit there to see it yourself.A kind of 419 to attract tourist.Most countries depends on tourism for economical growth,as a result does not present things the way it is.Why do you think that cnn keep presenting Africa as a poor continent full of poverty,crimes and wars? The guy is a pig, he just passed Onitsha expressway which is being reconstructed and claimed he has covered Onitsha. He has not been to GRA, Omagba phase 1&2, American Qtrs, Limca Road, Awka road to mention but a few, these are some of beautiful and places. Even the Protea Hotel and a smart city that is being developed somewhere on the outskirt of Onitsha GRA is another major attraction in the city.

Enugu ngwo has its own bad sides just like other cities, despite not being an economic/commercial city, it does not suppose to have such slums. The badger failed to take pictures of Ogui rural and dirty setting, Obiagu/Asata areas, these are some of the worst and horrible areas in enugu, even worse than bad sides of Onitsha.

There is no need for abuse,you can express your opinion without insulting anyone.The reality is spidy880 did not make a balanced report.If he does not have enough pictures of Onitsha and Owerri he should not open any thread concerning this two cities.People from different continents follows this thread.To carelessly present the nagative pictures of some eastern states to the world is not acceptable.If he has grievances he should please forward it to the right authority.There are thousands if not millions of Igbo children that were born abroad,is this what you want to present as an attraction to draw them home?To encourage people to visit our home we should present the positive side of us,that is how it should be done.

I take this pictures not because you are paying me to do it but because I pass the areas on business trips. I went to Asaba on business and had to see a client at main market Onitsha, thats when I took the pictures I took. For Owerri, I am building some houses for some clients there (check my threads in the property section). I went to Owerri to discuss some details with my client, and he was at the ceremony. I had to take some shots. I was also delayed for the better part of 2 hours on the Akabo water pond while my workers were screaming at me on the phone, waiting for their money in Enugu. I had to complain by way of pictures, maybe Rochas will hear me. Pictures are my own way of causing positive social change, expose light into darkness, and darkness will flee.

Enugu is beautiful, it was easy to post those pictures in the Enugu thread, I will still sort my picture file and post pictures of Owerri that are good, I have quite a few, but please dont harrass me. You can counter my pictures with your own better Owerri pictures. I dont live in Owerri and may not know all the nooks and crannies, maybe you do, please help us to show our place as the best, also expose bad things so it can change.
