Fresh facts have emerged as to why the government of late Sani Abacha did not kill Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), governor, Lamido Sanusi, in 1995, after he and eight other jihadists mobilized crazed extremists to behead Gideon Akaluka in jail Akaluka, a young igbo trader, allegedly desecrated the Koran. He was arrested after his wife allegedly used pages of the Koran as toilet paper for her baby. After he was locked up by the police, a group of Muslim fundamentalists break into the jail, beheaded Akaluka, and paraded his bodiless head around the streets of Kano. Pointblanknews.com investigation has revealed the role Sanusi, an alleged Boko Haram sympathizer, and proponent of the controversial Islamic Bank, played in the murder of Akaluka, and why the Abacha regime decided to lock him up for two years for the murder of Akaluka. Sources hinted that shortly after returning from Khartoum, Sudan where he earned a degree in Sharia and Islamic studies, at the International University of Africa, Sanusi became a recluse and immersed himself in the Koran and became a teacher of the Hadith as espoused by the Wahabbists. Wahhabism is an ultra-conservative branch of Sunni Islam. It is a religious movement among fundamentalist (with an aspiration to return to the primordial fundamental Islamic sources Qur`an, Hadeeth and Scholarly consensus (Ijma)) Islamic believers. Wahhabism was a popular revivalist movement instigated by an eighteenth century theologian, Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab (1703–1792) from Najd, Saudi Arabia. Sanusi, who is alleged to detests the President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, because according to him, it is anti-islam, was part of a nine man clique of extremists who had a huge following. A source said, “ when Sanusi returned from Sudan where he associated with very extreme personalities, he was not a happy man. he was treated like an outcast in royal circles because his grandfather, was deposed as Emir of Kano. So his anger grew. “ During that period, the incident of desecration of the Koran by the Akalukas surfaced. According to our source, during that period the Abacha government was not comfortable with the activities of the extremists in Kano, who they view with suspicion. The regime, it was gathered, silently assassinated a lot of them. Said our source “ When Akaluka was locked up, Sanusi and eight others mobilized some extremist mob who stormed the prison and killed Akaluka. The regime identified the masterminds, so mandated its hit squad to eliminate the nine, including Sanusi .” Pointblanknews.com gathered that eight of the masterminds were assassinated by Abacha, but for the intervention of former First Bank chairman, and father of Christmas Day bomber, Alhaji Umar Mutallab and others. “ It was Muttallab and the rest who were heavy sponsors of Islamic activities who prevailed on Abacha to spare Sanusi. They are argued that since he has gone through a lot, treated like a pariah in the royal circles because his grandfather was deposed, he should be spared. So They decided to remove him from Kano to Sokoto where he was locked up for two years.” Said the source It was further learnt that after his release from prison, Sanusi was handed over to Mutallab who pushed him into banking because he(Sanusi) had a degree in Economics from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU). From there he moved to the United Bank for Africa, and the First bank, from where he rose quietly until late President Umar Yar’Adua recruited him to head CBN and spearhead the introduction of the Islamic Bank. ress Statement- Ibadan - The Apapo Oodua Koya, (AOKOYA) has expressed full support for the declaration of autonomy by the Ogoni people. In a statement issued after the group’s Central Working Committee, (CWC) meeting held all-night at Ibadan on Friday, the group said every nationality in Nigeria has a lot to learn from the Ogoni declaration and that all nationalities seeking self-determination should begin to assert themselves. “Today, we express our profound support for the historic declaration of autonomy and self-determination by the Ogoni people through one of the oldest self determination movements in Africa, the Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People, (MOSOP)”, a statement issued in Ibadan and signed by Mr Akinwunmi Adeolu on behalf of AOKOYA stated. he group said that it is significant that the declaration of autonomy is coming at a time the Yoruba people were preparing to mark the 55 Anniversary of Western self independence, (Autonomy) which comes up on August 8. We commend the leadership of MOSOP, led by Mr Goodluck Diigbo for this bold and inevitable decision. “We urge all other oil producing communities to follow the full steps of Ogoni and through all means necessary, prevent the exploitation of oil resources in their homelands.” At this critical moment in Nigerian history, when the country and its people have been overstretched beyond the limits of tolerance, one of the most important solutions is for ethnic nationalities to seize their destinies with both hands. We support this bold initiative of the Ogoni people. We stand by them. We shall do whatever is necessary to ensure the consolidation of this declaration of autonomy. AOKOYA whose main agenda is the realization of Oduduwa Republic said the current political leadership are hell-bent in leading the country into the pathway of violence and anarchy and that the way to confront this situation if for ethnic groups to assert themselves and insist on autonomy, a right expressly supported by the various United Nation’s Conventions. “Like every indigenous group in Nigeria, the Ogoni people have no hope in Nigeria. Their resources are plundered by the Nigerian state, their territories have been destroyed through half a century of oil exploration and naked, unending exploitation of the people. These exhaustible oil resources will not be there in about 20 years time. The decision of Ogoni people to assert autonomy will further preserve these resources from extinction. We fully support this decision and we look forward to support from nations and self-determination groups across the world. It is unfortunate that even though President Goodluck Jonathan is an Ijaw man, he is merely reinforcing the illusion that the Ijaw people are being empowered. We are certain that whatever decision he might have taken while in office that appears to favour his people, will be reversed by his successor. The President has been empowering individuals while he has no ideological depth to realize that the greatest empowerment can only come from the full control of resources by the Ijaw and all oil producing peoples and communities. after reading this,it is my conclusion that MEND or what ever they call themselves are cowards and also it is a confirmation that the nigerdelta is divided between the ijaw and the calabar groups. How will Nigeria cede bakassi which is part of the niger delta to Cameroon and Mend is quite?is bakassi not part of ND,.....i smile when people say when Nigeria split that east nigerdelta will not go with the igbos knowing quit well that those of calabar and akwa ibom fought gallantly for biafra. now lets look at it this way minister of petroleum - ND(ijaw) minister of Niger delta - ND(ijaw) director of amnesty programmme - ND(ijaw) special assitant to GEJ on media affiars - ND(ijaw) former NSA - ND(ijaw) are other niger delta groups not eligible to be appointed into top government position? and i know so well that the people of urohobo, edo and calabar areas are not enlightened and are better goal getter. will i be right to say that Mend and niger delta agitation was just an ijaw agenda? why are the nigerdelta majority ethnic group(urobohs, edo, oron, efik and ibibio) not carried along?(the ijaws are a minority, this is a fact.) why has the ijaws monopolized the nigerdelta affairs how many efiks, ibibios, orons, edo are members of Mend. why will Mend collect bribe and amnesty for the abandonment of their struggle for freedom and also not include bakassi as part of their agitation? Asari & Mend are the biggest cowards.it pains me deep inside of me to see that bakassi goes when there is Mend.they thought the igbos where there problem but history and present event have vindicated them.To me mend and all these ijaw goons are just opportunist.my condolence to the bakassi indigenes,God is with them. |
Is Bakassi Finally Going? –Masterweb Reports Bakassi is situated at the extreme eastern end of the Gulf of Guinea. According to Wikipedia, “Bakassi is the peninsular extension of the African territory of Calabar into the Atlantic Ocean”. The people of Bakassi were originally from Calabar and Akwa Ibom. The first fishing settlement in the peninsular was established by Abasi Eke of Obutong in the 17th century. The peninsular was generally known by the indigenes as Akai Abasi Eke which the British corrupted to Bakassi. The British acknowledged that the area were dependencies of Calabar. The peninsular is very rich in resources. It has abundance of fish. It is also rich in oil. Wikipedia says further that the area is “rich in fish, shrimps, and an amazing variety of other marine life forms. This makes the Bakassi area a very fertile fishing ground, comparable only to Newfoundland in North America and Scandinavia in Western Europe. Most of the population make their living through fishing.” Is it any wonder that the place has been an area of dispute for a very long time? In 1884, agents of the British Queen signed a treaty with the king and chiefs of Old Calabar, making the Old Calabar a British Protectorate. The King and Chiefs of Old Calabar refused to accept some clauses in the treaty which gave the British an unfettered access to Old Calabar territory. In spite of this objection, the British went ahead to sign this treaty on 10th September, 1984. Article v1 of the treaty said the King and Chiefs refused to allow uncontrolled access to their territory. The British went further to sign a treaty with the Kings and Chiefs of Bakassi. The Bakassi kings and chiefs refused to enter a treaty with the British declaring that they were subject to the authority and jurisdiction of the kings and chiefs of Old Calabar. Despite the objection of the Bakassi people, the British went ahead to cede the territory to Germany in a treaty purportedly signed on 11th March, 1913. The territory continued to be part of Nigeria. Even after the plebiscite of 1961 when Southern Camerouns decided to join Cameroun, Bakassi continued to be a part of Nigeria. In 1971 and 1975, Nigeria under General Gowon in not very clear circumstances signed agreement with Cameroun ceding Bakassi to Cameroun. These were the Yaoundé II Declaration of 4 April 1971 and the Maroua Declaration of 1 June 1975, which were devised to outline maritime boundaries. These agreements were however never ratified by the Supreme Military Council (the parliamentary arm of Nigerian military government then). The agreement has therefore no force of law. Nigeria and Cameroun almost went to war in 1981 and early 1990s. The Shagari government and Abacha regime respectively never allowed Cameroun to have her way. Cameroun was forced to retreat. This was the situation before Cameroun went to the International Court of Justice on 29th March, 1994. The outcome of that case was the ICJ judgment of 10th October, 2002, confirming in a curious judgment that Bakassi belongs to Cameroun based on the treaty purportedly signed by Germany and Britain of 11th March, 1913. The judgment went against all that UN stood for. It breached the United States Charter on Human Rights which says in Article 15 that -->[ Everyone has a right to a nationality. ] - -->[ No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his nationality or denied the right to change his nationality. ] The people were never asked to choose where they want to be. Judgments are no longer based on treaties signed without the people’s consent. The judgment also ignored the principle of uti possidetis juris – as you possess, you shall possess henceforth. People who declared that they were under the jurisdiction of Calabar were suddenly asked to leave their kith and kin and be citizens of Cameroun. In the Green Tree Agreement which Obasanjo signed on 13th June, 2006, for reasons best known to him, it was agreed between both countries that rights and freedom of Nigerians left behind will be guaranteed. Today, the reverse is the case. Nigerians are oppressed and discriminated against. Those who left are in refugee camps in their own country in peace time. They are now located at Akpabuyo Local Government, a crop farming environment different from the fish farming environment which they were used to in Bakassi. They were disfranchised during the last general elections. The Bakassi peninsula being a very rich area has been attracting the interest of the international community. France has been the power behind Cameroun’s agitation all along. We can be sure too that France may well be involved in the ICJ judgment. Why Nigeria hurriedly signed the Green Tree agreement can still not be fathomed. She was not obligated to sign that agreement. Examples are bound all over the world of countries that ignore international community without being sanctioned. Israel has been sitting on Arab lands for decades without any sanction. Britain is claiming Falkland Island in the Pacific when it is obvious that that is part of Argentine territory. The US and Russia are still holding firm some Japanese Islands in spite of Japanese opposition. The Nigerian Senate on 22nd November, 2007, that the withdrawal from the peninsular was illegal. A Federal High Court in a judgment also said that the Federal Government should suspend the withdrawal until all resettlement issues have been settled. The Federal Government ignored these and went ahead to handover the territory to Cameroun. Nigeria has ten years to appeal the judgment. The ten years elapses by 10th October, 2012. If by this date, Nigeria never appeals, then Bakassi is gone forever. The implications are serious. The security implications are there. It means that Nigeria’s territorial waters would be reduced. This will be worsened with the National Boundary Commission’s adjustment of the maritime boundary. It will lead to other struggles by the neighbouring countries of Cameroun, Equatorial Guinea and Sao Tome and Principe. Nigeria will become vulnerable to attacks. The economic resources in the area will become free to be plundered especially France and Cameroun. The people of Bakassi will be homeless as where they are even being harboured now is raising tension. Those left in the peninsular are being over taxed, raped, their fishing gears seized from them and social amenities not provided. Nigeria has a very good ground to appeal the ICJ judgment. The people were never consulted before being relocated to another country. Their fundamental human rights have been breached. The cultural affinity between the Bakassi people and Calabar is never in doubt. The treaty which was the basis of the judgment was signed without the people’s consent. The people of Bakassi must not be abandoned. The Nigerian Government has almost abandoned the Bakassi people. They cannot vote. They are still in refugee camps. The Bakassi people were never settled. Today, they have no means of livelihood. Only about a hundred houses were built for a population that Wikipedia estimates to be between 150,000 and 300,000 people. Nigeria must be able to protect her people and territory. Let her start doing that now by appealing the ICJ judgment. No inch of this country must be lost. |

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has assured all the 27 Local Government chairmen in the state who were recently recalled from their earlier sack of his support as they return to work. Addressing a cross-section of stakeholders yesterday at the expanded executive council chambers, Government House, Owerri, Owelle Okorocha called on the chairmen to return to their offices and resume normal duties until they serve out their tenure of office. Okoroch said that the state government took the decision to parley and cooperate with the returning council chairmen in the overall interest of the state. He expressed regret that the council chairmen, who are of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, shunned his invitation to a meeting yesterday, where it was expected that both government and the council chairmen would have sat to discuss their welfare and how to keep the state on the right track. The governor therefore used the occasion to reschedule the meeting to Monday next week and re-invited the aggrieved council chairmen, while urging them to put the state first and ignore those who want to use them to foment trouble in the state. Owelle Okorocha also expressed his administration’s commitment to respect the constitution and all court orders with no intention to breach any law, adding that the case of Local Governments is still pending since an appeal is filed in respect of the Court of Appeal ruling. Emphasising the determination of the present administration to make Imo the best state in Nigeria, Okorocha noted that government needs no distractions to enable it achieve its numerous developmental goals. When contacted on the issue, Secretary of the Imo State branch of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, Barr. Enyimba Onuegbu said that the council chairmen shunned the meeting with Gov. Okorocha because they were not properly invited. Also, Onuegbu explained that ALGON refused to attend the meeting because Gov. Okorocha was still meeting secretly with the Transition Committee chairmen and reassured them of their positions despite the judgment of the Court of Appeal, as well as directing LGA staff not to work with the reinstated chairmen. However, he stated that the chairmen have no malice against the governor, but urged him to do the right thing in respect of the law, stressing that the council chairmen would be willing to work with him. http://nigerianpilot.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4366:gov-okorocha-assures-council-chairmen-of-support&catid=40:more-headlines&Itemid=208 |

In a press statement made available to Saturday Pilot and signed by the National President of the organisation, Otunba Bayo Adeleke, the group noted that the ACN is always looking for one thing or the other to say or do against President Goodluck Jonathan and the federal government, a trend he said has transformed the party as an irritant to the nation.i think this group just said it all |
A socio-political group, United Nigerian Professionals for Democracy and Justice, UNPDJ, has cautioned the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, against the use of inciting languages and other acts that are capable of undermining the peace and continued existence of Nigeria. In a press statement made available to Saturday Pilot and signed by the National President of the organisation, Otunba Bayo Adeleke, the group noted that the ACN is always looking for one thing or the other to say or do against President Goodluck Jonathan and the federal government, a trend he said has transformed the party as an irritant to the nation. The statement also expressed shock that Congress of Nigerian Political Parties, CNPP, could join in the call for impeachment of the President, saying such is not the solution to Nigeria’s problems. Part of the statement reads: “The antics of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in fuelling instability in the polity have become worrisome. If it is not leading assault on President Goodluck Jonathan on imagines issues, it is recycling old issue in an attempt to maintain presence in the media. But there is a limit to everything. “Even if the ACN did help enthrone the current leadership of the House, it should not push the House into taking a position that would alienate it from the majority of Nigerians who believe that the current call for impeachment proceedings is I’ll-timed, unnecessary and a merry-go-round intended only to massage the egos of the shadow sponsors.” On the threat of impeachment of the President by some opposition elements in the House of Representatives, Bachuwaya said it is an exercise in futility as it was meant to be an irritant on the body polity. “The ACN is already drawing up the alleged offences in its current drive to force the House to start impeachment proceeding against the President. But it already knows it is all noise, as it would not achieve its intended purpose. It would only overheat the polity. This unnecessary impeachment move would not serve the National Assembly, the polity or the nation any good, except to keep hired guns in business. The statement reads further that: “Instead of the current unending search for issues to tackle the Presidency with, the ACN should look at the leadership of the National Assembly, which testifies to the fact that President Goodluck Jonathan has no interest in interfering in the work of the other two arms of government. It is not his style. And it is part of his style of nurturing and deepening the nation’s democracy. The ACN should not be allowed to continue to foul up the air and constitute a clog in building a harmonious Executive-Legislative relationship.” “We implore the CNPP to rise above bandwagon politics of issuing press statement even when there is no need. And Nigerians have to know that the sponsors of the current impeachment moves are not within the National Assembly, but are part of the group who want to get constitutional positions through unconstitutional means. Nigeria has gone pass that level of primitive politics and should not go back to such spur of the moment actions”, it added http://nigerianpilot.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4361:dont-destabilise-nigeria-group-cautions-acn&catid=40:more-headlines&Itemid=208 |

Southern Nigeria Peoples Assembly, SNPA, have called for the convocation of a Sovereign National Conference, to address the problems militating against the growth and unity of the country. SNPA in a statement by Chief Edwin Clark, leader of South South; Rev. Bolanle Gbonigi, leader, South West and Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, leader, South East, read by Mr. Ledum Mitee, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, at the meeting of the Assembly, warned against posting of graduates from the Southern part of the country for National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, in the volatile and life-threatening areas of the North. He said, ‘until the security situation in volatile and life-threatening areas of the country improves, we insist that none of our youths should be posted to serve the compulsory one-year national service in any part of these volatile and life-threatening areas in the North.” The Assembly called on President Goodluck Jonathan to sack from his government and the nation’s security forces, all persons of dubious loyalty and to treat the activities of Boko Haram sect as treason and apply the relevant laws on the culprits and their sponsors. It urged the President and other organs of government, especially the judiciary to firmly prosecute the war against corruption without fear or favour, with no sacred cow spared, to serve as a deterrent to other, saying ‘’In particular, government should fast-track the prosecution of all those identified culprits in the probe reports according to law. “In repositioning the country for the attainment of Vision 20:20:20, the leadership must sanitize the economy of fraudsters and economic saboteurs. ’The six geo-political zone structure should be formalized and reflected in the country’s constitution,” it added. It deplored the 1999 Constitution as amended, noting that it was standing on a faulty foundation and does not guarantee true federalism required for stability and development of the country. Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State, represented by his deputy, Mr. Nsima Ekere, condemned insecurity in the country, blaming it on insincerity of some Northern leaders. |

An operator with the State Security Service, Mr. Abdulfaruk Dauda, told a Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday that former spokesman of Boko Haram, Kudunga Abdul, allegedly named Senator Ali Ndume as a financier of the group. Abdul was summarily sentenced to three years in prison after he confessed to being the spokesman of the group. Dauda, who was cross-examined by counsel to Ndume, Mr. Rickey Tarfa (SAN), said the accused was interrogated by four sub-committees and a panel in order to test the veracity of the allegation. The witness said that a total of four statements obtained from the accused were filed as exhibits. Dauda said the statements did not negate the records of contacts the accused had with Boko Haram, ``which shows clearly from the statements that Ndume was communicating with the group.’’ ``It is my mandate to investigate the issues raised in the statements because I was not told to do so. ``I am an expert in statement taking and I did take the final statement of the accused person handled by the panel, and truly he has some issues to answer and that is why we are here My Lord,’’ he said. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ndume was arraigned on December 12, 2011 on a four-court charge of having links with the Boko Haram sect. He had denied the allegation on the grounds that the prosecution did not establish evidence linking him with the terror group. Ndume, a serving senator from Borno State, said he only made contact with the group while serving as a member of the Presidential Committee set up to help quell the hostilities in the North East. He said the transactions with some select members of the group were lawful and targeted at resolving the security challenges. Justice Gabriel Kolawole adjourned the matter to July 10. |

Information recently made available to 247ureports.com through sources close to the happenings within the government house at Kano State reveal that the elder son of the Governor of Kano, Mustapha Kwankwaso was quizzed by the agents of the State Security Services [SSS] over a drug induced drunken altercation with an Imam and the men of the joint task force [JTF] at Kundila along Maiduguri road in Kano State. The incident occurred on Sunday June 17, 2012 at Kundila along Maiduguri road at 1pm when the elder son of the State governor of Kano, Mustapha Kwankwaso aged in his mid-twenties drove in a Honda vehicle [aka discussion continues] with two other friends – and arrived at a traffic congestion caused by a JTF checkpoint. The driver of the Honda vehicle who was the son of the Governor, maneuvered the vehicle into the other lane facing the incoming traffic – in attempts to overtake the traffic congestion and thus the JTF checkpoint. Unfortunate for the youngster, as he steered the vehicle violently into the other lane and began racing the vehicle in a manner deemed reckless, he was said to have nearly struck down an Imam of a nearby Mosque housed at a nearby housing estate. But the Imam was said to have ran into the sidewalk in attempt to save his life. The people nearby who saw what had happened rushed to the aide of the Imam. As the residents comforted the Imam – who is said to be well known in the area – the son of the Governor pounced out of the vehicle in anger tantrum. Mustapha, according to a police witness who to spoke to 247ureports.com revealed that when Mustapha alighted from the vehicle – that he was too drunk to stand up right “his speech was somehow” and the “boy looked dazed and his eyes were bloodshot”. As Mustapha tried to speak, it was evident his tongue was bluish green in coloration – resulting from a new fashion drug popular among children of well to do men in Kano. And so, as the clearly intoxicated Mustapha pounced out of his vehicle, the standers by were taken aback as he pounced on the Imam to begin raining insults and threats on the Imam – threatening to hand him over to the men of the JTF as a Boko Haram suspect. This quickly resulted to a rebuke from the people who had gathered to comfort the Imam. The rebuke further angered Mustapha – who then turned to open the trunk of his vehicle in a move to retrieve what was believed to be weapon. As he opened the trunk, he told them he will blast them. Accoring to the police, “he brought out a gun from the boot of his car“. It took the quick intervention of an SSS officer stationed near the site of altercation who alerted the men of the JTF of the unfolding incident. As the JTF officers arrived, the young Mustapha introduced himself as the son of the State Governor – and quickly asked for the Imam to be dealt with. But the SSS officer who witnessed the entire brouhaha signaled to the JTF and briefed them of what had transpired and told them that he [SSS fellow] is determined to see that the Governor’s son pay for the unnecessary embarrassment of the Imam and nose-thumbing at the law. The SSS officer then detained the Governor’s son at the Kundila roundabout and alerted the director of SSS. As the Director was contacted, he was told initially that the Governor’s son had pulled a dangerous weapon against the Imam and against the SSS officer. The Director’s first reaction was to issue a directive for the boy to be brought in Mustapha to the SSS office. This directive made it seem the Governor’s son was under arrest – or about to be arrested by SSS. Immediately, the Governor’s son began working the phone lines and pleading to be forgiven. Through the pleadings of the governor’s son and the intervention of other high ranking members of the State security apparatus – the Director of SSS cautioned Mustapha – and told him to report to the SSS office at a later date – to iron out the details of the case. The SSS Director, in talking to 247ureports.com, indicated that the governor’s son was never officially arrested. |

It is obvious that people putting calabar before owerri, enugu, benin, asaba and ibadan have not been to calabar before.calabar is cool, clean, has obudu& tinapa and an annual canival aside that calabar is boring.have not seen a livelier calabar than owerri the hostest spot in the old eastern nigeria after port hacourt, rather is it livelier than Enugu,Asaba,Benin,Ibadan or even Akwa. Abeg calabar is find and neat but does not equate to liveliness.does it even have up half of the clubs and hotels in owerri. Like i will always say,i dont hate yoruba people but i hate their leaders because they speak with double mouth.these are the same leaders that where threating that boko haram will split the country,OPC went on the street to protest boko haram, they even threatened retaliation when some yoruba professors were killed in a bomb attack in north, not to talk of d number of yoruba churchs, men, women, youth and children that have been killed and destroyed in the same north.what am trying to put here is the fact that, why will the SW be alligning with the North to bring down a South.am not a Jonathan fan, please dont get me wrong but, for me i believe aside the problem of PDP/Jonathan,the North is a bigger time bomb.this is the time the whole South and Middlebelt is to unite to be able to face this monster called North.Actions being taken by SW leaders is what makes other southern regions not trust the SW and also call them betrayers cos at every point in time they always betray the south.like my boss (a yoruba man) once said, that the actiöns Awo took during biafra by not allowing biafra go and the long dominance of the north,is what has slowed down the growth of a progressive south and also stunt nigeria's growth but we pretend like its not so.he based his arguement on the fact that the south is the pillar with which nigeria rest upon and if any action in favour or against the south determines our future because the north contributes nothing to nigeria,so it has nothing to loose neither those it have any interest in nigeria expect power grab and resource.in veiw of all that, what stops an ACN/APGA/DPP/LP merger and then CPC can join if they want but they should be made to be a minority in the decision making process of the merger?there the interest of south will be protected first.if things continue the way its going,as we are not sure if nigeria will out live 2015,i see the biafran situation where the battle will be between the SE/SS/MD against the SW/NE/NW and the battle ground will be the west.cos they will have to pay for their continous sellout of the south to the islamic north.am not a jonathan fan but i will say it anywhere that jonathan/PDP is not our problem rather the north because other parties have not shown that they are a better alternative to PDP and dont forget, most of the opposition party leaders were once PDP members or have had deals with PDP or were once public office holder with nothing to show and were corrupt too in the likes of Tinubu,Bisi Akande,El Rufai,Ribadu,Peter Obi dont forget Rochas was once a PDP presidential candidate,Mimiko is silent eating his own money in ondo. All these oppositiön crooks are only angry because they have been shut out of the national cake. Finally if it is by party can somebody tell me how an Aregeshola,Agimobi,Fayemi and the rest of ACN governors asides Fashola better than TA orji or Uduaghan or george akume or babangida aliyu.0r are they better than PDP's Amaechi,Chime,Akpabio or LP's Mimiko or APGA's Rochas.like a poster earlier said,it is all about power grab and not service to the people.the only solutiön is division |
PROUD-IGBO:yeah bro i got you but atimes one have to come out straight, knowing fully well that all those scavengers will come and peach on later on to run down this beautiful trend down. |

. But i think posting a pic of just one refuse dump would be enough to convey your message. Those refuse pics lowered the tone of the thread a bit: you don't post those type of pics if you're selling a city, but i understand you may have been looking for 'balance' b/4 peeps accuse you of only showing the nice parts of Enugu.
